We just had Niagara on Allure. 🤮

Per the C&A Top Tier event, there were 5433 guests total this sailing.

The carousel is in middle of the picture. It’s got the blue and white top on it. The hot dog stand is off to the left. The picture was taken from the walkway into the boardwalk area, so the hot dog stand is obscured.

Was on the Oct 1 Allure sailing. First lunch at Sabor, the menu we were handed had the cocktails at $13. A few days later we were handed a menu that showed $14 and the app still had $13. Yesterday, we were given a menu with $13. So, it’s coming, folks.

In the spring, we decided to finally upgrade our hurricane wood to accordion shutters. Signed the contract in April and were told 16-20 weeks for installation. They are supposed to be installed on the 3rd. 😢 But, we’re on the east coast. And we are supposed to be leaving on a cruise next Saturday. 😭😭 Won’t be able to if the storm hits Tampa badly as my parents live there. We’ll need to help them out if it’s bad over there.

Where did they route you instead?

Usually the first week in December. We used to cruise that week every year and they were setting up as we were boarding.

Because it may or may not contain alcohol in it. I know of a theme park complex which doesn’t allow alcohol outside the gates.

So they allow you to take the latte off the ship?

Pre-COVID, we used to show up closer to 1:30. This is our first cruise back, so I wanted to pad our time a little bit. I predict we’ll be back to our old ways by December.

I would rather show up a little bit later after they have already started boarding than have to sit there and wait. Even if we are paying for the priority boarding perk, I would rather just walk right onto the ship. I’ll be very happy with a different security line instead of the regular line on my upcoming Allure. I purposely picked an 11:30 time to try to avoid sitting in the waiting area.

We have a trip in December on the Mariner going to Coco and Cozumel. There are currently only 5 excursions listed and we are a few months out. Not sure what’s going on with that…I blame it in Royal’s IT.

Ok…at Port Everglades Terminal 18. If I am facing the Terminal coming from the parking lot that’s in front, which side is the Suite entrance?

I’m hoping for a lot of starboard lifeboat drills for our upcoming trip. We normally sail starboard just because and had to take a port on Allure. 😂 I like to watch the pier runners at departure…………

I look back on it now and think it was an honest mistake. They didn’t speak much English and just went to the wrong room. But what got me was they still didn’t want to leave even when we were showing them our name on things. And the Royal folks weren’t polite to EITHER side when they finally got there. I insisted they change the sheets on the bed and they begrudgingly said they would. Not sure if they actually did or just straightened the sheets a bit. The stewardess was rude to us the rest of the trip. First time ever we didn’t tip extra to our cabin attendant. I don’t think they ever replaced the cookie plate they ate, either. Lol! Needless to say, the rest of the trip didn’t go well after that. It was kind of like a bad omen. One of the bad things was since they keys were missing outside the door, we first had to trek all the way down to Guest Services before we even knew they were in there with all of our carry on items we had been expecting to drop off, wait in line for a half hour, be berated that the keys “should be there” (I had taken a picture that they weren’t), and then trek all the way back to find them sitting there. Bad way to start a cruise.

Having all the doors open is kinda weird, too. 😮

Not a fan of this since we found someone else in our room on the Allure eating our snacks and sitting on our bed AND they refused to leave. Took anyone from Royal over an hour to come up and get them out.

Maybe the ship needed to produce water. Ship has to be moving to do that.

I wonder if they’ll start changing some of the Eastern ports to ports that are more “aligned”.

Looks like when you are adding it to the cart, you assign the person you want it to belong to.

What kind of room do you have?

That is NOT like-for-like. I was at least still put in another jr. suite. Just not the one on 10. And no one can tell me WHY that room wasn’t available anymore. So frustrating.
