  1. Thank you for the Getaway Day report, Rich. Other than Cruise Critic I don't do Social Media. Handshakes have had tough times since Covid. Meteors can be spectacular. I like the quote by Baltimore's own Poe. Have not been to Port Lincoln and don't know what the meal is. My alternative is Iced Melon Bisque, Mixed Gourmet Greens, Chicken and Corn Soup, and Fruit Cup au Natural as served on MS Prinsendam the last day of May, 2015. Today’s care list: Jaguar crossing the Rainbow Bridge Melinda with stage 4 cancer Sam recovering at home from Covid complications StPeteCruiser recovering from Appendicitis Covid in Durango shelter staff Joy’s friend Ron facing Gall Bladder surgery From the rotation: Cruising-along niece awaiting a kidney Bennybear DH with melanoma Strength and healing for Kazu Celebrations and Shoutouts: Seasick Sailer friend Ron recovering from successful gall bladder surgery \ Kazu’s great neighbor Tioga Cruiser enjoying Grand Canyon Volendam caring for refugees 2 days for ski ww (Oosterdam July 2 to 16) 3 days for Mister Boston (Celebrity Summit July 3 to 10) My getaway day (QM2 July 1 to 😎 Nickelpenny (Westerdam to 7/3) , jimgev (Noordam to 7/3 plus land trip), Norseh2o (Insignia to 7/4) and Crazy for Cats (Zaandam to 7/9) at sea Vacationing Staff Captain Sabine - Our first female Staff Captain and HAL’s likely first female Captain(I know this is a repeat but she’s worth it) Roy

  4. For the next 10 days or so I'm likely to be late in my posts and I may miss some things on the lists. Please let me know of any glaring errors. I've set up my reporting for my coming cruise, both blog and thread on the Cunard forum. https://morethangetaways.wordpress.com/ Roy
  5. I'm in final preparation stage with several things already done My big bag sitting in Luggage Forward's Red Hook office. E -ticket, Cunard Health Questionnaire, and ArriveCan Code Proctored Covid test printout Amtrak Pre-travel health check completed And advance checkin to my hotel I hope to be on the road early, on my train before 10, and in New York before noon. This will be my first time on Cunard since I was thrown off QM2 in Perth 2+ years ago and I hope everything is ready. The itinerary: Embark July 1 Bar Harbor July 3 Boston July 4 Halifax July 6 Back home July 8. In addition to this thread I'll have daily updates on my companion blog: https://morethangetaways.wordpress.com/ and will also try to publish Daily Programmes to the blog. Getting close Roy
  6. Sorry to hear that. I hope it was relatively peaceful. Roy
  7. Just got results. Negative. Pretty much a forgone conclusion as I had a PCR test Monday and would not have expected anything different from an Antigen test 2 days later. Roy
  8. @kazu has been on the ground about 20 minutes and I hope reunited with her bag. My Emed test kit is currently cooking for 15 minutes. Roy
  9. Missed the end of the cruise. I hope @StLouisCruisers, @kb4683 and @Red Haired Lady are all having smooth disembarkations and onward plans are going well. Roy
  10. Another delay in taxing but now in the air. New ETA 11:58AM. Roy
  11. Finally, @kazu's flight is taxiing. ETA in Saint John, 43 minutes late. Roy
  12. My sunrise today is one I captured one year ago today but didn't use. It is from Crystal Serenity's rotating Panomax camera. Roy

  15. Thank you for the Hump Day report, Rich. Not sure about the mud but I like the other days. Interesting quote but not quite sure what to make of it. Loved Norway but never been to Andalsnes. Not sure about the meal. My alternative is Iced Melon Bisque, Mixed Gourmet Greens, Chicken and Corn Soup, and Fruit Cup au Natural as served on MS Prinsendam May 30, 2015. 16. I think @kazu's inbound flight is on the way. I THINK this is her plane's schedule: Syndney, NS 6:05 ADT Arr Toronto 7:45 EDT Lv Toronto 8:30 EDT Arrive Saint John 11:20 ADT The flight is in the air running about 20 minutes late. Roy
  17. I definitely don't like the sound of these delays as July 1 and 4 get closer. Between stranded in Pearson or stranded in Saint John I'm hoping for the latter. Roy
  18. My guess is the keys will appear as soon as they are no longer relevant. Roy
