1.
I've always received the email confirmation instantly, printed it out, and brought it with me just in case. Never an issue.
No email and I even checked my spam/ junk box, but it did ask me to print the page after as confirmation., so I do have that.
  2.
Hey, I had the same experience as you and NO email confirmation. I waited until 2 weeks before my cruise and called RCCL to confirm that they had record of the OBC. They did and it magically showed up on day 2 of the cruise. It worried me at first, but now I'm glad I did it online & there was no hassle of mailing in a certificate! ;)
Thanks. I noticed the points have been subtracted so hopefully when I call it will be all good. You just hear all kinds of stories of OBC getting lost.
  3.
You should have received an email confirmation.

In addition, you can call whoever booked your cruise and request Royal's Guest Copy of your booking confirmation. This should show the OBC.

Note that depending on your cruise date, the OBC may not be applied to your booking for weeks. They sometimes process requests in order of cruise date.
Hi Bob, no email yet. I will maybe give it another week and call RCCL, They gave us an OBC and I wanted to add more to it since I had points getting ready to expire. Thanks for the quick reply.
  4. Hi Cruise Critic friends - Info needed. About two weeks ago I went on to the Manage Rewards Online web site and requested some OBC for my cruise in Jan. I gave all the cruise info, requested, and printed the request page for confirmation. My question is how will I know if and when they send credit to the ship for my onboard credit? I've always called in the past and they sent a certificate for me to send to RCCL. This is the first time I've used the website request.
  5. Just off oasis 11/30, had escargot only one night. All other nights were scallops or salmon. I only had one order of escargot, they were great! I should have ate more.....thought I would save some for the rest of you!

What night did they have it? Was it the second formal night?

  6. I have about 15 min before my next flight so here goes....I hope none of you have to experience what I did on this trip. I'm not blaming RCI for bed bugs, but I am unhappy at their lack of a proactive approach to protect me, my room mate and future passengers in that state room by not making an assumption that bed bugs could be the culprit and having someone knowledgeable about them to check the room. Until my internet search this morning I knew nothing about them and my roommate thought you couldn't see them with the naked eye so when we saw the bug the first time we did not immediately think bed bugs. I hope for the sake of the next passengers that they weren't the cause, because right now I'm headed home to 20 degree weather and will have to strip down to nothing in my friends garage, bagging everything up and then head to the shower and hope that no eggs are on my person that could infect her house. Unfortunately, my formal dresses and some other clothing would never survive a hot water wash and dry. I'm still looking into how to deal with that.

I wish you all the best!

By not reporting your findings of what you now think was bed bugs, someone else now in that room may suffer what you and your friend went through. I'd hate to think you could have prevented and out break to others and didn't think to mention it to the room steward and hotel manager. I'm sorry you and your friend are suffering, but I also worry about the other people now in that room and hopefully they don't have small children or are elderly! Such a Shame.

  7. Haven't seen these things mentioned, so I thought I would share:

    1. In our Owner's Suite (1600), there was a PlayStation 3. We looked for the games in the CL, but didn't see them. Never got around to asking the Concierge.

    2. In Labadee, the cabanas at Barefoot Beach have electrical outlets in case you'd like to charge your cameras/devices.

    Happy Cruising!

The play station thing must be new. We sailed twice in on the Explorer in an owners suite, and they had a surround sound system and a DVD player but no play station. It Wouldn't make a difference if they did, not a big deal for my age group. :D

  8. We actually "dress for dinner" every night of the cruise. Formal nights, more dressy; DH always wears tux or suit. We do it because we like the tradition, we like feeling good about the way we look, and it fits the venue of the MDR.

    It's our choice.

    Teddie

Same here we enjoy dressing up every night also, and dressing up in gown or after five evening attire for me & DH loves his tux. He has several different styles of shirts and vest with matching bow ties. Like you it's our choice. I'd rather be over dressed than under dressed.

  9. It would be great to see the conceirge lounge revert back to suite guests only.

Either way it would make no difference to me. We always stay in suites, but we never hang out in the CL now that they are WAY over crowded. We usually buy the drink packages, so there is no need to go just for free drinks. If we need assistance with a reservation or something the concierge can help us with, then we will either call or pop in. I can mingle anywhere so hanging out in a small overly crowded lounge doesn't excite me any, and that is just my opinion.

The other major change to the unlimited alcohol packages is now any eligible guest in a stateroom may purchase a package. This is a change from the previous policy where all eligible guests in a stateroom had to purchase a package.

The new unnlimited beverage packages will be available for guests purchase starting today, November 15th on all ships, and pre-purchase online the first week of December at http://www.royalcaribbean.com/beforeyouboard/cruiseEnhancements.do or by calling our pre-cruise planning specialists at 1-800-398-9819. Once available online, you can purchase them approximately 2 months before sail date.

All package prices include the 15% gratuity. Also the the basic soda package and water package stay intact.

Guests who have already bought a ‘Classic’ package prior to the changes in November/December 2013, will receive the new Select package once on board and a refund to their onboard account for the $5 per day difference in pricing.

Guests who have already bought a ‘Premium’ package prior to the changes in November/December 2013, will receive the new Premium package once on board. If they wish to upgrade to the new Ultimate package, this can be done at a cost added to their onboard account of the $10 per day difference in pricing.

  11. OP, you sound so ANGRY already and you haven't even sailed yet, gee. Why don't you wait until you get there and then ask politely? Perhaps you will be pleasantly surprised. :)

I didn't read anger in OP's post. It makes perfect sense if you pay for a wine pairing dinner and don't want wine they should be able to substitute soda, and more than likely they will oblige. OP post back and let us know. Happy sailing!
