If the image you shared is a screenshot of your Captain's Club account, it looks like you're currently at the Select club tier, 74 points to Elite.

You'll currently get all of the benefits shown under Your Club Tier (Select), and you'll receive the Elite benefits once you get 74 more club points. I agree that it's a little confusing - I think they show the next tier as a marketing tactic to incentivize you to keep cruising with Celebrity.

🤔 One 10 night cruise in a sky suite will take care of that, and the OP will make Elite.

In our experience, cabins 1665 and 1668 on deck 11 are the best aft suites on the Silhouette.  First, the decks above and below these cabins contain cabins and do not have the noise factor from public venues.  Second, we have never experienced a problem with the ship's exhaust on this deck though some have experienced soot on the balconies.  Third, the window washing equipment is NOT parked next to these two balconies.  We enjoy spending a lot of time on our balcony, and the balconies on 1665 and 1668 provide a great view of the wake AND the scenery on both sides of the ship.  You do not have complete privacy on either of these two balconies.  As to the ship's motion, forward cabins get the most, aft cabins get the second worse with middle cabins getting the least.  We will always choose cabin 1665 or 1668 on the Celebrity Silhouette.

I agree, these are wonderful cabins, spectacular wake views. Never had an issue with wind nor soot. One thing to consider is the location to the elevators is a long walk, if you have any issues walking. Also don’t get deck 6 because the balcony is very small, I have read lots of complaints on here about it.

Make sure you let the concierge know this is on your wish list. We have experienced sail away cruises with champagne and sail ins (early morning)  with hot chocolate, both very enjoyable.

Also let the concierge know if you are interested in any behind the scenes tours (galley, theatre, bridge…). Owing to distancing they may not be available at present but we have thoroughly enjoyed on previous cruises.

Also make sure to have closed toed shoes on. No sandals or flip flops allowed.

There are a couple of large gaps in Equinox's 2023 summer schedule. Nothing between June 24 and July 8 and then nothing else in July until July 30. Seems all regular schedule during August. Any clues about where she is for these missing weeks?

    I just looked and she has 8 night sailings July 2nd -10th and 30th - Aug 7th, and 6 Night sailings July 10th - 16th, and the 24th - 30th. I'm Not seeing any gaps in July.

Just speaking from my own experiences having dined in Luminae while staying in Sky Suite (3 times), Royal Suite (twice) and Penthouse (twice). Had much better service and catering to specific needs and offering to get things off menu without even asking in the higher level suites.

I totally agree with with you, it has been our experience as well. When staying in the PH they seem to bend over backwards to please, if in a Sky suite or CC some times they seem not as accommodating. Still great service though.

How far ahead can you start making reservations for shows?  Is it 90 days?   We're on the March 6th Oasis sailing.

I wish they still did that, but not anymore. Everyone books once onboard 😟

We sail next on Jan 9th and our check in shows it opens around the 25th of Nov, we shall see.

  9. Pay no attention to the discount % that means nothing the prices go up and down almost daily. We are on the Harmony in Jan, we got a great deal during last years Black Friday sale (Thanksgiving) deluxe at  for $50.00 pp/pd ea. Our last one we got it for 43.00 ea. You can purchase it at the price you are comfortable with and if it goes down, cancel and rebook at the lower price. Takes a couple of weeks for them to credit back your original price paid. Check the sales during this Thanksgiving. Hope you score a great deal!

  10. Do they not offer a premium brand of water any more (Spring water, Evian or FiJi)? We really hate Dasani (taste like the charcoal they filter it from), and I don't drink anything out of a can. Just my opinion, Don't Flame me (Son works for Coke and even he won't drink it)!

I am having a hard time getting that price drop guarantee....my TA has called twice with me in on the call the 2nd time...they are trying to tell me that if it is after final payment, no price guarantee....still working on it but my poor TA should not have to make multiple calls instead of selling cruises....

https://www.celebritycruises.com/company/customer-support/best-price-guarantee I had the same issue on RC but it was before final payment. I had to bring their policy to their attention then they gave it to me after three separate calls. Good luck!

Are there any protocols anywhere that state what a cruiseline proposes to do with a person who tests positive for covid on board? And what are the cruiselines plans if this does happen?  Im not talking about the first sailings of cruiselines like MSC or the Quantum.  I'm talking about upcoming sailings.  Until then, I think these endless speculations are just noise.

I could be wrong but many of the vaccinated folks on here are worried about their trips getting cut short in case of an outbreak or a situation like the Princess which nowadays wiuld be extreme.  It would be helpful to know what plans the ship has with dealing with a positive case.

Anyone find a way to see the current pricing (looking for price drops) on cruise planner items that were already purchased? Just this morning I saw they added a banner where the Deluxe Bev Pkg price would be which makes it tricky seeing if the price is on sale.  Any ideas??? Thanks.

Mine some times shows that, but usually if I click on Beverage > premium beverage package, it comes up. On mine. Right now it shows current price of 67.00 pp/pd for our sailing in Jan on the Harmony.  I purchased at $50.00 pp/pd during Black Friday deals. Keep playing with it, but I think they are trying to make it harder for people to cancel and repurchase at a lower rate.

We've been in suites before but not on a ship with Luminae and not on  ship without an assigned dining time and place.  So, my question is do people eat all their meals in Luminae, or do you pick a specialty restaurant or two for a little variety?  Thanks.

It's a matter of preference, you can also order from the main dinning room menu in Luminae if you do not like what is on the Luminae menu. On the S class ships we usually eat at least once in Murano, and maybe Tuscan Grill, on The Silhouette we love the Lawn Club Grill as well.

    Enjoy!

  15. I always pack Way too much. We usually drive to the ports (FL, NOLA, Galveston) except when going overseas, Alaska, or Canada/New England.

I just booked the June 26th-July 3rd on the Adventure. I just realized my passport expires July 31st so I think I'm okay but it seems like they used to require that it not expire within 6 months of travel. Anyone know for sure??

I just renewed mine to be on the safe side. Sent it Non expedited, I got it back in 5 weeks, but my cruise isn't until Jan.

For those who have dined in Luminae before Covid, did you feel like the selection and experience was enough where you really didn't feel like you needed to purchase a Specialty Dining Package?

Sailing on Millennium in June and on the fence as to whether we really should purchase a 3 dinner package or just pass on it.

Wife is a Vegan however eats fish (forgive me as I don't recall the name for this) and I enjoy pretty much everything, however love a great Filet and Lobster Tail Surf and Turf while on board.

    Thanks for the input!

Here are some sample menusI found. https://www.cruisecritic.com/ab/agents/variation-a/articles.cfm?ID=2531

We really love Luminae, and it is nice being able to order off the main dinning room menu as well. More options isn't a bad thing 😉
