  1. Interesting about the coupons. We sailed last year on Seabourn and are booked for 2 cruises this year but were not provided with any coupons? Is it still the case that they are provided? JC2

Hi we sailed on Spirit last October and have just had our official coupons this last week.

I had booked another cruise in May of this year and was keen to use a referral coupon if possible, so I contacted Seabourn and they emailed coupons to us. They did not have our club number on them so that had to be written on but I have had confirmation from the person whom I gave the coupon too that it has been applied.

    Further question for seasoned seabourners:

does the referral coupon only work for both parties if the referee has a cruise booked and paid for? or will it still work for the person referred and the referee credit be applied when a future cruise is booked? any info on this would be appreciated. Also do you have coupons sent after each cruise taken?

  2. Hi Linda, I think the timing is good. Our final payment is due by Jan 10th, and we are sailing April 10th. I think that will work for both of us.

My email address is mpquinn at gmail.com.

    Thanks,

    Mike

Hi Mike I think that will work, Like margbem (see above) I have had an email with the referral coupon so I will email you directly for the details.

  3. This may be OT, but perhaps not. I just wanted to praise Seabourn's customer service and also to send a heads-up to folks.

I mailed our Referral Coupon to Seabourn a couple of weeks ago but it has not yet arrived (and the date for our final payment is fast approaching!). Luckily, I sent it by Certified Mail and so could track its progress (or lack thereof ) and I also then had evidence that it had in fact been sent . I called Seabourn and talked with their reservations department. In spite of the wandering original coupon, Seabourn has accepted a copy of it and will honor it. All the great things I have read about Seabourn customer service are true!! What a great company to do business with.

The morals of this story are:

    1) make a copy of the coupon before you send it out,

    2) send it by certified mail or another way that it can be tracked and

    3) then be sure to check that it has (or has not) arrived,

    4) give yourself some lead time between sending in your coupon (either to Seabourn directly or to your TA) and the date your final payment is due, and - most important -

    5) cruise with Seabourn!!

Hi Jassy , Thank you for the heads up about sending the coupon registered delivery. I have sent mine direct to seabourn ( not sure I would fully trust the TA to forward it) I asked for confirmation that it had been received and the OBC applied... still waiting, but at least I know that they have had the coupon as we can track the mail online.

Looking forward to our departure date.

    Linda
