  2. Finally off the ship! Back in 2022, the week before we sailed on the Spirit. Wyland sailed on the Bliss and painted this mural with the kids of Hoonah. Susan checked herself in to the Ziprider and filled out the liability waiver. Then we got on the Skyglider. Her Ziprider ticket includes the Skyglider. I used the shorex credit to get it for free! Unlimited rides up and down for the day.

  4. This is why I love Alaska. This amazing scenery all while enjoying a cup of coffee! I spy an eagle in that tree! Zoom lens! A few more people are out on deck now Double Eagles! Finally, we got docked and it was time to get some breakfast!

  6. I, as normal, was up early. I, as normal, was out in the Great Outdoors. Sailing through Icy Strait towards Hoonah Glacier Bay National Park Decent shot of the moon An Alaska State Ferry OMG! Look what I see! As you can see, it was very peaceful out in the Great Outdoors. Got to love a good zoom lens! The majesty of Alaska This Princess ship was joining the Encore in Glacier Bay on this day. The Encore has turned into Glacier Bay and the Princess ship is following it.
  7. We got a small bear and eagle from the Fortress of the Bear and Raptor Centers Gift Shops. We also bought a 2024 Fortress of the Bear Calendar. We have so much Alaska on our travel wall having gone there so many times, that we are really picky on what we pick up for the travel wall, if anything, from Alaska. We have a couple of Native pieces incorporated into our Alaska items.
  8. It was very yummy. If it wasn't so busy it would have been a little more enjoyable.
  9. It was time for Pictures and Dinner. We went to four seasons for dinner. Cheese Ravioli Coconut Shrimp Bruschetta Avocado Hummus Mixed Garden Salad Spaghetti Puttanesca with Italian Meatballs from the appetizer menu Braised Lamb Shank Warm Banana Soufflé Snickers Pound Cake After dinner, we went to the Theater for the Newlywed Not So Newlywed Gameshow Theater after the show We headed to bed, because we knew we had a long day in Icy Strait Point Tomorrow.

  11. Time to board the Sun! Once back onboard, we headed to the stateroom to freshen up and drop stuff off. The Eurodam was departing ahead of us. Suck ups! I headed to the Great Outdoors and grabbed a drink and a table! Getting ready for our time to depart.
  12. This bridge leads over to the Airport. It was fun to do different shots from up on the hill! We made our way back down and headed to catch the shuttle bus. Our driver was originally from the South, and boy was he funny!
  13. We then headed up the hill where the treaty signing over Alaska took place. There are stairs and their is also a longer wheelchair accessible path up there as well. I had to stop to take photos of the flowers! Tender Dock Treaty location
  14. We walked through downtown after lunch. When Sitka has ships with a total passenger count of 5000 or more. This street gets shut down and becomes pedestrian only. We did some light shopping through town.
  15. We headed over to the Coldwater Bar & Grill for Lunch Halibut Fish & Chips Halibut BLT another look
  16. We got dropped off at the spot where you catch the shuttle back to the cruise terminal. We had an excellent tour especially at $90/pp.
  17. There was a hawk above the enclosure. This is my favorite photo from the Fortress of the Bear.
