They ran out on 2nd day on Jewel in April

You can tip and they will gladly accept. We have tipped previously but not every time.
The majority of guests don't tip.

There has been no official announcement by the cruise line announcing a drydock or even acknowledging a problem, as far as I know. Anything that people are posting is tidbits of what some have heard on the ship and speculation.
You could post to Royal Caribbean on Facebook and see what response you get. Those questions are usually answered pretty quickly.
Really no way of knowing what is going on until they decide to make an official announcement.
They were very slow announcing it last time.
We were on the cruise when it went last time. Nothing was said at all on board we just noticed our time in port was a bit shorter than we expected.
It was only when we got back home the was a thread running on this board saying what had happened. It was some time after an announcement was made about the repairs from my recollection.

When we were on our All Access Tour we had a little while waiting outside the bridge for the group to clear.
A few guests tried to ask the security guard but he ignored the questions.
I know when my parents were on a P&O ship around the world several years ago in pirate areas the was weapons. Mainly water cannons I think but the suggestion they had other weapons were available if needed.

Serious suggestions:-
- Late night Windjammer
- Include gratuities in price of cruise
- Bring back daily newspapers
Less Serious
Replace the Ultimate Abyss with a Log Flume. I reckon it would fit and would look much better :D
- Late night Windjammer

Do they have less Bingo on ships these days?
Not noticed it as much on our last few crises

The Jewel still has the sports bar instead of an English Pub.
In my opinion the sports bar wasn't that nice. Schooner bar or safari club probably better options.

I loved Harmony & Allure plus I am sure I will Oasis when we sail on her next year.
Personally I preferred Allure. However; I would sail on Harmony again without hesitation.
I do have some sympathy over comments about quality of build; although I sensed the welds seemed of high quality ;)
However; I did feel areas such as the Solarium had a cheaper feel. The most noticeable area to me was Boardwalk which felt quite plastic in comparison to Allure.
As a contrasting point the cabins are much, much better on Harmony.

Im going to disagree with the majority.
I bought on Harmony surf only and it was really poor.
Surf and stream is much better. Surf is only suitable for fairly small emails in my opinion.
Best advice though would wait for a sale and buy before you travel as it will be cheaper

We've had free drinks packages on our last three Royal cruises booked in the UK. Currently they are not offering it but past trends suggests it will be back in Sep.

They seem to be slow offering this year from UK. Looked back at emails from last year prior to booking our Oasis cruise and the are dates when available last year it hasn't been
Suspect due to value of pound. Will be looking out for promos on drink packages as I think I can't cope without in Caribbean :D

I loved Jewel. I think the best ship I have been on to date.
Here is a link to photographs and a video tour of the ship from our cruise in April this year in Southern Caribbean.
The video is very, very shaky and I have since bought stabilisation but you can see most areas I could access on the ship.

ANYWAY now ive paid in full does anyone know if i rang up and asked them to move me to a balcony room as its the same price would they? or would i be fobbed off and its just a wasted phone call???
UK booking conditions are different than the US. Strictly speaking the answer is no.
However; I managed to get an upgrade to a JS when it had reduced on my last cruise through Crown and Anchor. I was told a huge upgrade price when ringing customer services

Good luck! Just remember no swimmies and no pull-ups - hard to imagine a 2-year-old completely toilet trained.
Trip is presumably from UK...rules seem to be somewhat different in Europe sailings
-
Not as many as July and August, but still loads of kids (based on sailing Allure in September) which I think would be similar.
There were a lot of non-American families, especially Japanese and Korean; also South American and European.
Even with American families, more and more year round schools with "different or schedules that are not the norm" and home schooled kids.
July and August definitely peak for kids, but I think you're still going to have a lot.
I agree..the will be lots of kids on most sailings

Yes, for US/Canadian bookings before final payment date.
But unfortunately not for us in the UK and elsewhere :(

Not sure is classifies as exotic but for unusual anything in Wonderland

We are sailing on the Brilliance on 8/17/17 and are looking for some advice about excursions out of La Spezia. We are very interested in seeing Cinque Terre. I've been inquiring about the "Coast of Cinque Terre & Portovenere" shore excursion through RCL. When I ask the RCL Rep for 'further' information on this excursion they are very happy to help but are basically just reading the description that I have already read on their site.
I'm hoping that someone is familiar with this excursion or even a way from La Spezia to explore this area. We have only been to Livorno and are not sure what to expect out of La Spezia.
Thanks for any help!

Here is a link to our review of a trip to Portovenere on Harmony last year.

It is very beautiful and well worth going, The Royal Caribbean trip was awfully short. Could easily have spent all day there.
Suggest looking to see if you can book independently.

We were not allowed video anywhere on Allure. Photographs were fine
-
Ask the bartender to create his own cocktail...they all have one.
Always the best
-
Sounds very exciting Indy was due a good update
-
Although I liked Harmony I prefer Allure. The solarium is one of the main reasons plus the Boardwalk which is also badly designed
-
I have rescheduled a specialty dinning reservation so as to not miss MDR lamb shank night. happy cruising
I used to love this. Don't think it is as good as it used to be
