  1. I am still trying to figure out how the pass works. It appears I need to book it for a specific time on line before my cruise. My understanding is that is just for booking purposes and I can use it anytime I want. But I am still not sure that is correct, and also how long I can use it. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.
  2. I am in a Jr Suite on Anthem. When I board the Anthem can I book Coastal Kitchen at any specialty restaurant or do I have to go to CK to do it, as I did when on Oasis? Thanks.
  3. I have a ocean view balcony on upcoming cruise next month. Can I upgrade to a suite showing availability by calling RCCL and paying the difference?
  4. I saw it too but it is working now. But it may have been related their system changing the itineraries on Anthem cruises, as now if you try to book for ex. November cruises it shows the different itineraries due to the engine issue.
  5. IMPORTANT UPDATE! I just got another email which explained the reason for all this- issue with one of the engines, and we are getting an OBC worth one day's fare.
  6. It is concerning as one poster said, that this could be a propulsion issue. I read about what happened recently to the Radiance. Any thoughts on this are appreciated as we are really looking forward to the Thanksgiving cruise.
  7. I just got an email that Anthem this Nov. on the Thanksgiving cruise will skip Port Canaveral and we get 2 more hours in CocoCay. That is totally fine with me, as I thought Port Canaveral was a waste of time, but not sure how others will react and not sure if this is just as to this one cruise.
  8. I am booked for the Anthem in Nov and then on the Transatlantic in April. On the App on my phone for the Nov. cruise, many of the drinks are showing at $15.
  9. I saw drinks were now $15 overall. In July they were $14. Does the drink package now cover $15 drinks?
  10. Does anyone know if the jr suite cabins on the hump, deck 6 on Anthem, on same side as the smoking area ,are or can be impacted by the smoking area on Deck 5? Any info appreciated. Thanks.
  11. Thank you for the reply. When I do a mock booking for my cruise to see what is still available, I see all jr suites on deck 6 are still available. The price for them outright is outrageous but if I got one for a few hundred more than what I paid for the large balcony I booked it would be worth it.
  12. I got an email for Royal Up for upcoming Anthem cruise. While I know chances of winning are low, all the junior suites on deck 6 are still available. I did see a Google post on this from 2 yrs ago. Any info as to these cabins would be helpful. Thanks.
  13. I really think this is partly RCCL's response to Virgin Cruises and to attract some of the crowd Virgin gets, though not sure a one day stop at a Las Vegas type pool is enough to woo that group. I do think it will be very popular with many of the 20- 30 something crowd I saw on my last cruise in July on Oasis. And that is fine.
  14. There is a tram that is for handicapped people or people with mobility issues. When you get off the ship ask for that tram.
  15. I read one of the interviews with a RCCL executive who said they want this to appeal more to the general market, and keep the Beach Club more of an upscale experience. That makes sense to me. It was not to compete with the Beach Club. It probably is a good idea for RCCL as the 18 and up party crowd now have their own area and as someone here said would be akin to a Las Vegas pool party experience. I was at the Beach Club in late July and loved it, and have booked it again in Nov. It was worth the price to me.
  16. Does anyone have recent experience with this on the Anthem? I had the same concerns.
  17. Thanks for the replies. Maybe I misunderstood but I got the sense that the beach would be for Icon cruisers initially. I guess when bookings open it will be clearer.
  18. When on Oasis in late July a server at the Beach Club said the new beach was to open in January but only for Icon cruisers, Does anyone have any updates on this, and when it may open to other ships? Thanks
  19. I will be on Anthem this Thanksgiving. I did Symphony on Thanksgiving some years ago and we ate in Chops and they brought us the Turkey from MDR. Does anyone know if the other specialty restaurants will do that also, like Izumi? Thanks.
  20. Portside still had some of the best food on the ship- we ate there twice.
  21. Nassau does have trams but you need to look for the boarding area when you get off the ship, as when I got off the Oasis I did not see the area ( or sign) and there was no one around to ask about them, but we knew they existed. I walked the distance and it was awful. I was able to get one back from the pier to the ship- there is a marked boarding area at the beginning of the pier. I think RCCL needs to be more handicap friendly. This was a big issue for me on Coco Cay.
