  1. I did a google search. I thought it was only European ports. This was dated 2020.

Celebrity Cruises is offering their guests an excellent option for enjoying their cruise experience for a few extra hours when the majority of passengers have disembarked. The Extend Your Stay disembarkation provides the flexibility many cruisers appreciate, especially those who drove to the port and those who have a late day flight. This exciting option can be purchased onboard and is available only on cruises that sail roundtrip from Port Everglades, and a handful of European ports.

  2. I did fine the following. Four things caught my eye. "You won’t even have to give a thought to your suitcases, neatly tucked away, until you debark from the ship. We will also pack for you at the end of your cruise. Whether you want to reserve a table at Luminae, the private restaurant exclusively for Retreat guests, or wish to dine in your suite, your Retreat Butler and team will act as your personal reservationist throughout your cruise. When dining in your suite, we’ll set the table, serve the meal course by course, then clean up afterward, while you enjoy a freshly made coffee or a glass of wine while gazing at the stars from your veranda."

Glad to see Celebrity has not stop us from having parties in our suites with Butler help.

"Inviting guests to join you for cocktails? Want to host a get-together to celebrate a birthday or make your anniversary cruise extra special? The services of a trained Retreat Butler and team for these special occasions are invaluable. We can provide advice on what to serve and arrange every detail, from canapes and cocktails to flowers and music, even rearrange the suite to host your guests."

If everyone who posts here that they were gone did it I would be sailing on half empty ships

We have the same thing happening over at Celebrity. Others are checking Oceania or the higher end lines. I've canceled 4 Celebrity cruises this year all in suites. We have a Celebrity cruise next month and another in June. Hopefully the cruise industry will settle down by next June. We have not cruised Princess in 12 years. I booked a penthouse aft suite for Feb on Discovery. Going to see if the grass it green over at Princess. I do know my pocket is greener. 🤑

I guess I'm lucky as I don't like Evain water.  The ones that are in the room when we get there stay there, and we've had the butler bring the regular bottles that everyone can get. (In Luminae we have them bring ice water from a pitcher.)

I ask for a glass of ice after they pour my water. This way I can top off my own water. Now is it 3 glass of wine to 1 water. 🤪

  5. I have canceled 3 X cruises this year. Only doing one X cruise this year. I'm spending more time on the Princess CC board. I booked a 7 night cruise with Princess in a nice aft suite. Yes Princess has made changes also and people are pissed off. I see myself as new to Princess as it has been 12 years since my last cruise with them. On the Princess board I pass over the negative post.

I'm sure we will enjoy our next 2 cruise with X as we are traveling with family or good friends. I will ask some questions about butler service changes and upcharges for food from the MDR while dining in Luminae. MDR menu that now allows purchases of lobster $16.99, Filet Mignon $19.99 or surf and turf for $34.99. Will we be able to order surf and turf from the MDR while on the Edge class ships. I should be able to order surf and turf if I give them 24 hours notice.

  6. When it comes to M Class ships. I dont have any issues with any of the sky suites on deck 6. The biggest advantage of Aqua Sky Suite is the perks for spa use. 6131 and 6132 do have larger balconies. I have stayed in 6132 and 6122. Never stayed on port side.

If we are talking S Class ships it is the location of the Aqua Sky Suite that I like. You are under the carpeted area of the OVC. Great location to access OVC or the pool. I stayed in many of the Aqua Sky Suite on the S Class ships. I have not stayed in any of these suites since they are now Aqua Sky Suite.

hopefully folks can log in a standing order with their RETREAT team for whatever coffees, food they'd like to have brought to them each morning.

maybe there will be a standard request form to reduce phone calls that may overwhelm  the team..

    wish everyone Good Luck!

That is what we have done in the past. Fill out the card once Coffee, croissants and a fruit place every morning at 7am. I would prefer the same happy face each morning from our butler. But it is what it is.

Hello! Didn't want to start another thread, so thought I'd ask this here... has anyone had success bringing a regular mini-suite guest for Reserve dining?

I have a Reserve and unless another one free's up, my travel companion will be in a regular mini. Since it looks like I will be able to dine when I please, wondering if they will let me bring a non-reserve passenger with me.

In reading the materials, Princess says this isn't allowed, but one person told me she was able to bring friends. Anyone have an onboard experience with this?

Are both of you solo cruises?

Now that the dust has settled...

The challenge with specialties is it can be difficult to obtain dinner reservations before 830pm; the real kicker is when you approach the host stand at 6pm, see it only half full and they no reservations tonight (they apparently hold some for suite guests)

I did just made reservations for Murano for our cruise next month. Their are 4 of us in different classes of cabins. When I tried to make the reservation and pay with OBC. I could only book the 2 of us for Murano. So I tried to book 2 reservation around the same time. Then handle when onboard. I could only book 8:30 pm for my MIL, in a non suite. If I book us sailing in a CS I could book 6:30 pm. I called Celebrity's Retreat number. I now have a table of 4 for 6:30 pm.😳

You obviously don’t cruise celebrity that often.

I gladly paid the up charge for Murano

Murano speciality lunch, Tuscan, Tuscan speciality lunch all on a recent Trip on the Solstice in Alaska.  Have to say ALL venues were over the top in service, food quality, and quantity.  I include the MDR as well in that statement. We were a family of 5.  We usually only sail Aq. We had sunset veranda’s.  Awesome trip all around.

    Quit whining

    life is short

    enjoy or don’t sail Celebrity

ships are sailing full for a reason

    cheers

Murano has only one main dish that I will eat. That is the Chateaubriand. I booked Murano for next month. I see some menus that dont offer Chateaubriand they have Les Petits Filets. I did check Eclipse current sailing and they list Chateaubriand. In the past I really did not want to eat in any specialty restaurant as I felt Luminae was very good. Last Sept the best main dish I had in Luminae was from the MDR. It was Prime Rib.

  11. I have been on an excursion that let people stay in town and return to the ship later.

You might need to check with the county your visiting. Was a Visa required? Are we talking a city in the US or are we talking places where the government has more control over visitors?
