I had to smile when I read the announcement because I know I'm going to read here that on some ship, they continued to enforce the formal dress code after dec 5.
Anyone want to place a virtual bet :)
You are so right. What Celebrity does best is consistently inconsistent.

On Silhouette, there is also the Tree House on Deck 7. I'm not sure of the hours, but I thought it was open all the time. There is a coffee machine that had a water dispenser. I agree about the teabags though. I'm from the US and I didn't find them good enough.

Yes I saw the coffee/tea station on Silhouette. I thought it was a great idea. Any one know if they were going to add the station to other Solstice ships?

I wouldn't call the food healthier either... nicer presented and a bit more upscale, yes. However, the main difference in BLU is that it is more quiet and less rushed.
As some of the others said, you can have the same waiter when you ask for it. Workes 99% for us.
Miaminice has said it right.
We normally have been booking Aqua for the anytime dining and no formal nights. With the new Evening Chic attire. We might go back to Select Dining when there are 4 or more of us. We seem to book Aqua or Concierge cabins.

We do like Celebrity very much. With Celebrity cruise prices going up. The last 2 or so years we have started to mix things up. The other year we did 3 cruises with Celebrity, but added a 2 week land trip to England. This year we did 3 cruises with Celebrity. One was 7 day cruise to the Caribbean instead of our norm 14 day cruise. We added going to Orlando. Next March we are doing a 7 day cruise again. They to Key West for 5 days. I have not been to Key West in just about 40 years. We are spending as much if not more money. We are just not giving as much to Celebrity. We have cruised on RCL, HAL, Princess and Azamara. We did like Azamara, but Azamara has had real problems the last couple of years. I'm thinking I might try Viking Cruises or Seabourn.

When we are not in Aqua we always make our select dining reservations well before our cruise for the same time each night. We cruise with between 4 to 12 people.

We have been Elite for 6 years, Elite Plus once added. Most regular X cruisers have done the Elite Tea, back stage tour, wine tasting many times. Maybe just a change of offerings. We no longer go to any of these events. We do enjoy Elite happy Hour, laundry and internet minutes.
We feel about the same as maggie.1008. We have 5 cruises booked and 4 of them on Celebrity. We do like Celebrity very much. As the prices seem to be going up we have started to mix things up. Last March and again the coming March we are doing a 7 night cruise instead of 14 nights. Last year we went to Orlando to see the new things added to Harry Potter at universal studios. This coming March we will go to Key West. I have not been to Key West in just about 40 years. I'm planning to retire at the end of 2016 at 58. Will we make Zenith. I think so. I'm happy with the perks I get now.

I tried to upgrade Choice air booked with Delta and the said no. It had to do with the ticket code that I was booked under. Here is a list of the codes.

Do you pack that in your carry on or your checked luggage?
I'm thinking I put it in checked luggage. I dont remember using it on a flight.

We have had the vouchers only once. We sat every evening near the Oceanview bar. We enjoyed it very much. Our last 2 cruises we had the drink packages. We still went to the Sky Lounge. We like talking to other people and having some appetizers before dinner. Our last cruise there were only about 65 or 75 Elite/Elite+.

We did the Eastern Med 12 night cruise on Connie last June. I love the A1 Aqua cabins on the M-class ship. Connie being the newest of the M_Class ships. Connie does not have all the bells and whistles. That being said. The Eastern Med cruise is more about the cities/towns. We picked Connie for what ports she was going too. We love Greece, Malta and Ephesus.

As said you can get most things. I like the mojito.

This was the problem I encountered. Customs line took us nearly 1-1/2 hours. It was a total zoo with those jumbo jets arriving from Asia! Fortunately, we arrived one day prior to sailing, so I did not freak out about rushing to embark.
I highly recommend going in a day early if you can. Vancouver is a beautiful city to check out. It also gave us time to unwind, get a good night's rest, and arrive at the dock bright-eyed and bushy-tailed.:)
As we live in Seattle we took the Celebrity cruise to Hawaii out of Vancouver. We took a bus from SeaTac airport to Vancouver cruise terminal. We stopped at the Bellingham airport (BLI). Customs was quick and easy at the boarder.

I found this online.
Taxi is $35 and 30 minutes. Vancouver is like any other large city. Traffic can be bad at times. Canada Line subway is a few dollars, loads 100 yards from the cruise ship and takes just under 30 minutes and ends right at the airport.

BigBenBoys: I will definitely look into this option. I was really hoping to avoid taking my laptop (and charger) on the cruise, but will look into it. Thanks again!
I have a chromecast app on my Android phone.

I'd much rather have a Jelly Bean than a Apple.:D
-
FYI: The windows don't open on a jet plane... Even in first class.:D
This made me LOL. I do like the windows in the bathroom on airplanes. They have shades. Not really sure why.
-
At home I just use my laptop with Chromecast. They communicate through bluetooth.

It really does depend on the tour. My norm is $5.00 for 2 people for 4 hours. So doing the math that would be .625 cent pp per hour. I normally only do excrusions through Celebrity. If I would hire a personnal driver it would be much more.
-
I would say that if your points are right and she has always been in you cabin things should be fine. But it would be best if you have copies of your cruise documents. I also keep all my Seapass cards.

I wear nice blue jeans and Polo every night in Blu.

I been in 1 aft cabin it was a concierge C1 wheel chair accessible. Friends had it. It is great for 3 people. Balcony was real nice. What I did not like is that the bed port/starboard.

We just walked to MDR, told the person at the door (dont remember if it was the maitre) that we are in Blu but want to have dinner in MDR tonight and it was a pleasure for him to guide us to a table for two.
Did that two times on different cruises, no trouble whatsoever (and no waiting time).
Once to talked to the Maitre D' at Blu. The 2nd time we just went to Select Dining. We did not any problems getting a table of 4.
As to the 2 in the inside cabin. I would book them in Select dining not traditional dining.

We have a cruise booked for Sept 2016 Amsterdam to Rome. BA had a great 2 day sale on business class seats, Seattle to London. I grabbed 2 seats booked us a 4 day window on each side of the cruise. If the cruise goes south we will have a great 20 land trip.

We were on the Summit in Aug deck 11. We like it so much we booking the same cabin for Millie in Asia. I dont think we will have much or any noise issues. I have my balcony door closed at night.
