  1. Deck 12 the Aqua Sky Suites would be my 1st choice (2114-2123) they are under the carpeted area. Then deck 11 aft corner suites. Many of the aft Sunset Sky Suites are nice. Might want to avoid deck 12, because of the outdoor Oceanview bar above. Less issues if cold weather cruise. Also avoid Sunset Sky Suite with the window washer parked on the side of the deck. Though I dont think the washer is a big deal. Also some corner suites have smaller balconies. On deck 12, I think Starboard side is quieter. We had 2133 once it was very noisy. See post #17
  2. While many dress up for Chic Night. Chic Night only applies to the MDR. You might be turned away if you wear to dinner are shorts, t-shirts, and baseball style hats in Luminae. I have seen one gentleman earlier this month wearing a t-shirt (Rock band style) at dinner. You can wear t-shirts and shorts for lunch, but no baseball style hats. DH was asked to remove his baseball hat (Polo) at lunch earlier this month on Apex. I do wear jeans most nights, no rips or tears.
  3. I'm not sure what year it was that the Captains Table ended. Instead Celebrity was doing a dine with an officer. We were invited by the Captains Club Host. We met at Cellar Masters for a group photo. I want to say 5 couples and a officer dined at Tuscan Grille. I have seen this same thing in Luminae once. I dont know if it is still going on. This was pre covid.
  4. You should be under the carpeted area of the OVC. Great suite location.
  5. Did you book through a big box store? See post 14
  6. When we 1st meet our butler we ask him to bring us the same small breakfast every morning at 7am. Our butler has scheduled my glass blowing times. Make dinner reservations. Keep the mini fridge stocked with my likes. I've been to a number of parties where the butler sets things up and leaves. I've seen the butler stay around and pour sparkling wine in the larger suites. some of you have seen this photo before. We have had a number of great butlers over the years.
  7. Good to know that I can get a seapass card on Princess. Thanks
  8. I like the Aqua cabins on deck 11 on Infinity and other M Class ships. From deck 11 down the back stairs to the aft bar and the OVC. Easy to take your lunch back to your cabin.
  9. For quite a few years now we were getting $800 OBC including tips, PDP, and premium WiFi for booking a Sky Suite. Book onboard you get more OBC. Then there is the RCL stock OBC. We had $1150 OBC on our cruise this month. We bought an GoPro12, Montblanc bracelet, extra carry on bag, Dinner at Eden and Fine Cut Steakhouse, 2 boarding photos, Icelandic troll, $12 for wine above the PDP limit, and a pair of shorts.
  10. In general it is difficult for the Luminae staff to get food from the MDR on the E class ships. Has it happened, yes. Is it the norm no. After our last cruise on Apex. I'm liking E class a little more, but if I have the option I will book a non E class ship just because of the limited food options in Luminae on E Class ships.
  11. I use vacations to go and they list Vancouver to Hawaii as transpacific and so does Celebrity. https://www.celebritycruises.com/destinations/transpacific-cruises?icid=dstntn__trn_hm_other_113
  12. May 7, 2025 Celebrity Edge is going from Hawaii to Vancouver. It is a newer ship. Not sure of spouse limited mobility. Edge does have much larger elevators.
  13. Yes the seapass card was changed to Elite, but she would not get things like 1 bag of free laundry. She gets Elite so she can enter Events with her husband. My uncle got Elite Plus on his card for 1 sailing as he was in my cabin. His next sailing he was Elite as he was not in my cabin.
  14. I just looked at VV 5/2026 LA to Vancouver BC 8 nights. Cheeky Corner Suite: Pretty Big Terrace is about $10,000 without drink packages. I just booked Summit today for 5/2025 in a Sky Suite for 6 nights for about $5,000 with PDP an a $500 deposit. Same cruise Celebrity Royal Suite is about $10,000. VV wants about $2000 now for a cruise leaving 5/2026. I'm was trying to find a VV Seriously Suite or Brilliant Suite to compare Celebrity SS, but not luck so far.
  15. It has been my understanding that your wife stands alone with her Royal level. Who ever is in your cabin is invited to any of the Captains Club event as your guest. They dont get things like free drinks from 5 to 7 or 1 bag of free laundry.... etc. If an CC event is held in like the Sky Lounge and drinks are handed out, then yes she gets free drinks.
  16. I have a reasonable expectation the quality of beef would be better. It is not like it was in the past. Just off Apex. The beef steaks flavor and quality was poor. Not like it was just after covid or before. On Apex we dined in Luminae, Fine Cut Steakhouse, and Eden Restaurant. The worst was Eden's Beef Wellington short ribs. It was very dry. I just have to lower my expectation and eat more salmon.
  17. I've used the same TA for over 20 years. I booked an Alaska cruise in a Celebrity Suite out of Vancouver BC. It was booked over a year ago. Earlier this year I called my TA. I said I'm paying to much for the CS. What can we do. 1st 3way phone call got us nowhere. TA called another source and call me the next day. We are now booked in a Royal Suite and saved $3000 off our original cost. At that time Celebrity have many RS available and not any CS.
  18. We were on this cruise in Suites. I wanted to say at The Pig - in the wall. I tried twice, but could not get in. We stayed at the Holiday Inn for 2 nights. We met up with friends and went to the Isle of White for 2 nights. We stayed at Albert Cottage in East Cowes on the Isle of Wight. It was once part of Queen Victoria’s Osborne Estate. On Kirkwall we saw Skara Brae, the Stones of Stenness, and the Ring of Brodgar. The Hen party in Kirkwall looked like they were having a great time. Photos are: Albert Cottage, Osborne House, Skara Brae, and Ring of Brodgar. Skara Brae is a Neolithic village on the Orkney Islands in Northern Scotland, it is around 5,000 years old.
  19. I can only speak for what I have seen or asked. Last week on Apex in Luminae. I did see a man in a t-shirt (Rock band) at dinner once. At lunch in Luminae my DH was asked to remove his Polo baseball style hat. What the Maître d' said was hats are fine, just not baseball types.
  20. We have a RS booked for this Sept. We were contacted by email last month. I emailed our specialty dining reservations days and times. Also what alcohol we wanted in the suite. I received a confirmation email.
  21. I do agree with all your points. I did like the The Retreat Pool Bar. As to the Retreat Lounge. I found the lack of armrest to be a problem. It is not that I need the armrest to get out of the chair. I like to hold my glass of wine in my hand resting my arm on the armrest and not have reach out to a table. The lack of a desk for the Retreat Concierge I saw as a big problem. We were on Millie post X Revolution. I did feel that X did a better job retrofitting. The OVC is more like the S Class ships. We are on Apex in 7 days. Friends picked Apex out of Southampton for Iceland.
  22. Here are some photos from M Class Sky Suites. The lifeboats are not a problem for me.
  23. We have sailed on all of the M Class and S Class ships. Only sailed on the Edge once. We board Apex in a week. Overall I like the M Class ships. I like the size of the ship. That most of the suites are on deck 6. Also the locations of AquaClass cabins under the pool or deck 11. When it comes to S Class ships. I just love the glassblowing. In my eyes the best cabins on the S Class ships are the concierge class deck 12 on center aft. The Edge Class with limited experience. X did a great job on the tendering platform. I did like our Sky Suite. I do hope the Apex will bring me around to liking the Edge Class ships. My biggest complaint is not being able to order off the MDR while dining in Luminae. Yes I know I can dine in the MDR, but I would be dining alone.
  24. With the Celebrity app you can look at the current 12 night cruise on the Apex. We are on Apex June 27. I've been looking at the new Luminae menus.
