I have not been on a Carnival cruise this century, but I was given a free cruise voucher from one of my local casinos. So I am doing some research. From the Carnival website (https://help.carnival.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1146):
“any transactions done at a table game or the Casino Cashier’s Desk will incur a nominal service fee of 3% each transaction.”
Does this mean what it says? If I buy in at the BJ table for $1,000, they give me only $970 in chips? And then when I cash out, they charge me another 3%? If this is true, it is outrageous!! I have gambled in Las Vegas, Biloxi, on river boats, in Puerto Rico, Mexico, Europe (including Monte Carlo), Macao, and elsewhere, and I have never encountered this.
Close. You will receive $1000 in chips but be charged $1030. You can download money at a slot machine and then go to the table and ask for money from your players bank. There is no charge for that.

I just put a 12 day journeys cruise on hold on Venezia for end of October for $100 pp first 2 people and the third was $309. It was a 4J handicapped cabin on 10. Usually it is hard to get a handicapped cabin especially this close to the cruise!! Super stoked!

When we did a B2B I made sure our room attendant knew we would be moving rooms and he made sure our room was ready when we had to be out of our first room. Can't remember the exact times but there was a time gap on when we had to be out of our room and when we met to go thru customs again. We did not have to leave the ship, they had custom agents come onto the ship.

Just checking in with everyone….it’s been about 4 years since we have been on a carnival ship. We are currently on the Vista having a great time. Just out of curiosity….normally we get a ship pin and some sort of trinket gift for being platinum. Has that officially stopped now? We haven’t received any as of yet so I am just asking to confirm. Thanks
You have to go to pixels and get it. Just need your room key!

The maximum two guests thing is referring to 3rd/4th people in the room NOT getting the Cheers/bubbles promo. So if you take this promo and roomed with another couple they wouldn't get the promo, and neither would any children.
When I used this offer you could not use it if you had more than 2 people in the room. It was only good if you booked it with 2 people.

Did you have to call hotel or did you book on site. I don’t see it listed
I booked it online. It's the one at 1943 Savannah Highway. If you go to the website click in the top under offers. The cruise package is in there. When we told them our daughter was going to pick us up and we only needed to park the car there, they changed our rate to $114 and then charged us $50 for parking so saved a little money that way.
It was a pretty nice hotel with a good breakfast.

Just finished up a B2B2B cruise in Nov. and the last leg has not showed up in my history. I went to the page to have a cruise added which I did in Dec. & Jan. and still nothing has been added. Is anyone else having trouble with their history?
I had that happen on my last B2B. I tried to add it online multiple times without success. I ended up getting a hold of my PVP and she was able to get it added.

We were on the Sunshine in December with my 18 month old grandson. They wouldn't even let him stand in the splash area with his clothes on. It was ankle deep and noone was there. I get the rule but not sure how getting his feet wet would hurt anyone.

I can only find one gift card on the allstate site and its for ihop. I have bought many in the past. Am I missing something?

jennas_mum,
I'm just curious how you liked the Comfort Suitees Orland airport hotel? Is this the one on McCoy Rd? I have a reservation here for a pre cruise stay next March and I have seen some mixed reviews, mostly good but a few bad reviews mixed in. Would you recommend this hotel and stay there again? How is the location as far as places to eat within walking distance? We don't need anything fancy, just a clean hotel and room in a decent neighborhood. Thanks
I have stayed there twice in the last year and have zero complaints. I would certainly stay there again. They had a good breakfast as far as hotel breaskfasts go. Clean.
If I remember correctly, there isn't much close to eat but a waffle house. Believe it was walking distance.

Thank you both-will cruise control provide shuttle back to airport after the cruise? and is a 12pm flight pushing it?
thanks again
Yes. they provide transportation both ways!

We stayed at Comfort Suites Orlando airport and used cruisecontrol-transportation.com on the day of the cruise. They were super easy to work with and pick you up directly at the airport or your hotel. Great company. Highly recommend!

Sounds like a great deal. Of course, with parking at the port (making getting home after the cruise so much easier) just $21 a day, Charleston is a fairly inexpensive port.
I guess we must have different opinions of what inexpensive is. It's a 10 day cruise so would be $210 just for parking. That to me is alot of money.

Frankly, I think you are going to be disappointed. Park and stay in Charleston "near the port" is not going to happen. Add the shuttle: no way!
You might find park and stay at a large place well away from Charleston proper, but shuttle would be very unlikely.
Just booked Holiday Inn Charleston on Savannah highway and it included transportation and parking. It was $183.

Just booked the Holiday Inn Charleston on Savannah highway for our 10 day in Dec. It was $182.40 and included transportation to and from the port and parking. Thats cheaper than just the parking. Was surprised at the price.

My PVP said I should be $250 because I'm doing back to back equalling 14 days. Has anyone else had this approved before?
Last month I did a B2B. 10 day, then 4 day. Got $100 first leg and $150 second leg. Different booking numbers but the cruises were linked

My son has a G-Tube and we have to take pediasure with us. It is cans but definitely more than 12. We have never had an issue. You can always contact the special needs department and get the OK before you cruise.

We were on the Miracle last month after multiple rock slides. Sure there could of been more after our cruise but we were able to go to Skagway. We were also tendered in without any problems.
I'm sure Carnival did what they thought was the safest. They are not always the best at communicting. They could definitely improve on that.
Hope you have a great rest of your cruise.

Do they still have half price fishbowls on embarkation day?
Just got off a back to back on the Miracle. They had 1/2 price fish bowls on the first leg. It was a 10 night to alaska. On the second leg they did not have 1/2 price fish bowls. It was a 4 night to Mexico. So I guess it must depend on the cruise.

I just got offered an up sell from an inside on deck 6 to an ocean view in deck 1 for $336 today for a 10 day on the miracle. Decided not to take it hoping for another one for a balcony. I know, fat chance but a girl can hope😀

Am I crazy? I just booked the Sunshine and was looking at all the food places as one should do. 😁 When I click the link to see what ships its on, Sunshine isn't listed. Is it just called something different on Sunshine or is there just no pizza?
It is called Pizzeria del Capitano

Years ago, maybe my 1st cruise, I bought the drink recipe book.
They are fun to make and make you wish you were onboard.
I always have a Fun Ship first! Makes the cruise official. 🙂
I found a recipe online for the funship and it was definitely not the same. I LOVE them!!
Do you still have the recipe?
Thanks,

Robert played a bit in the casino this morning but it was crowded and smoky, just like it was last night when the casino bar was packed and very smoky.
We just got off the Mardi Gras and can’t wait to sail again!!
Did you ever try the non smoking part of the casino? It’s really big and they strictly enforce the no smoking.
Mardi Gras - 75th Milestone sailing - a great cruise. Always interesting things going on :)

You can download money on your players bank at a machine and then cash out at a table. You have to make sure you ask for money from your players bank.
I put a credit card on my account and go down periodically to guest services or a kiosk and add my gift cards. They do not charge my credit card.
