  1. I was curious what was "normal"....? According to Wiki: Capacity 3,560 passengers Crew 1,346 ..so seems right in line...whether or not that's adequate....
  2. Ugh...that didn't work too well... I tried shrinking it a bit....let's try again..not pretty...but you get the idea: PlatinumOpens in a new window StandardOpens in a new window I do not want Princess Vacation Protection Platinum Planfor Guest 1 $284.04 $189.36 Upgrade from Standard to Platinum I do not want Princess Vacation Protection Platinum Planfor Guest 2 $284.04 Standard Planfor Guest 2 $189.36
  3. I just booked a cruise yesterday (with the $1 deposit) and was looking at the confirmation email today. I had requested Princess Vacation Protection for both myself and DH. Since we both have Platinum status, we can select Standard and it is supposed to automatically update us both to Platinum insurance. What it did....was update me, but not DH!!!! It's easy to miss it on the online screen, so be careful!!!! I went in and declined for both of us and will have to contact my CVP to add it. I have 4 other cruises booked and have checked them and they all look correct. So, I think this may have just started yesterday? I did log into DH's account and it does show him as Platinum. This is what it looks like online. ( I changed our names to Guest 1 & 2): Please select the level of protection you would like for each guest: Passenger PlatinumOpens in a new window StandardOpens in a new window *Guest 1 I do not want Princess Vacation Protection Platinum Planfor Guest 1 $284.04 $189.36 Upgrade from Standard to Platinum *Guest 2 I do not want Princess Vacation Protection Platinum Planfor Guest 2 $284.04 Standard Planfor Guest 2 $189.36 Save Changes
  4. Yup. That is exactly what I posted above which is Sailings from the U.S. and Canada: Up to Date Received all recommended COVID-19 vaccines, including any booster dose(s) when eligible at least 7 days before embarkation Antigen Within 3 days
  5. Hmmm... not too sure what you are looking at, but as long as you are fully vaccinated and boosted in the U.S. (and if you are going in the UK, you need to be boosted), you have 3 days in the U.S. also: https://www.princess.com/plan/cruise-with-confidence/cruise-health/frequently-asked-questions/us-cruises/?accordion=covid-test-prior-to-boarding COVID-19 Testing Requirements UPDATED: Will I need to have a pre-travel viral COVID-19 test performed prior to boarding the ship? Yes, in accordance with CDC directives, ALL guests ages two and above will be required to produce a negative viral COVID-19 test result (PCR or antigen) taken before embarkation. Testing requirements for voyages departing from the U.S. are as follows: Vaccination Status CDC Definition Pre-Travel Test-Type When to Take Test Before Boarding Fully Vaccinated Received primary series of COVID-19 vaccines with final dose at least 14 days before embarkation Antigen Within 2 days PCR Within 3 days Up to Date Received all recommended COVID-19 vaccines, including any booster dose(s) when eligible at least 7 days before embarkation Antigen Within 3 days PCR Within 3 days Not Vaccinated Not fully vaccinated PCR Within 3 days
  6. Yeah....couldn't resist--I booked 1.....winter will come and the caribbean will be calling...... I kind of got out of the habit of thinking about booking during covid.
  7. After Final Payment, it is less likely that you will be able to refare. Some people have been successful, but many have not.
  8. Nice to hear that the refund process worked out for you. It's good to hear that at least 'sometimes' it does work as it should!
  9. I wouldn't be surprised if iceland/norway balconies are booked up (other than those cabins reserved for quarantine cabins). That cruise has limited sailings and has been really popular pre-covid.
