  1. I am supposed to fly to Tallahassee on Tuesday, right when the hurricane is supposed to hit!
  2. I like the idea of favorite places in the world. I will have to give some thought to that, but one thing is for sure, mine will all involve a view of water. Anyone else care to name theirs?
  3. But it will be a long cruise if I remember correctly. Will you be on the 2026 WC?
  4. My original name was emtbsam, but when my login got messed up, someone at cc.com changed it to entbsams. I answer to either one and haven’t had the courage or the time to try to get it fixed!
  5. One of the challenges is that the splices would probably come apart. Then I need to find someone who could transfer sound on film to video. Maybe a film student somewhere would know.
  6. How about Lyon? You like good food. Transportation should be easy. It is on my bucket list.
  7. My SO used to wear one from time to time on informal nights but goes the traditional route on formal nights.
  8. We will be in Tunis later this year for a day. Can you recommend any “must do” things? Will I be able to get by speaking French? Thanks.
  9. The older I get, the more “stylish” comfortable shoes are!
  10. JP We had an oxygenated room in Cusco and had no ill effects. It took a bit more energy to hike around, but I am sure you will be fine. Have a wonderful trip. Mysty Your patio looks lovely and inviting. Myster did a nice job. I hope the condo complex likes it.
  11. She, as well as Jobim, Getz and Gilberto were the reason I fell in love with Brazil and its music back in the 1960’s. When I went to Carnival in Rio in 1967, I also fell in love with Chico Buarque and his song A Banda! I so wish I could speak Portuguese better than I do.
  12. JP and Chris - so sorry to hear about your cat. Our new to us 15 year old is doing well. Hope you enjoy your time in PR.
  13. I went to the Carnival ball there back in 1967. It was a wonderful event in a beautiful setting.
  14. Reminds me of the Silversea crew parade.
  15. Coolers - who is the singer whose songs mean the most to you? For me it is Charles Aznavour.
  16. Very few changes although caviar is now more abundant. The websites are not merged. Go to silversea.com. It is really quite easy.
  17. You should really try Silversea. Formal nights are only formal in several restaurants. The rest are informal to casual. On Informal nights, the dress code is quite “slippery” in most of the restaurants.
  18. I did have a very quick response from the help desk at cc.com. After she changed something in my account, i was still not able to log in until I realized that I had cc.com open on two devices. When I logged out on both, it finally worked.
  19. Haven’t posted in a long while. We left home Christmas day in our RV to try to avoid traffic and bad weather. All went well on our 1,000 mile drive despite the fact that our furnace wasn’t working. Fortunately, we knew that before we left home so I purchased a small space heater which worked perfectly. The reason for our rushed trip was to get to Florida to adopt Jade. I had read about her on another social media site back in November. Fortunately, the shelter was able to find a person to foster her until we could get here. Jade is a 15 year old black cat who was surrendered in the night drop box in the middle of a tropical storm. She was not doing well at the shelter, so I followed my heart and adopted her. Our two previous cats lived to be 19 and 21 so we are hopeful we can give her a good life for many years. All her tests came back showing she is in excellent health. it is nice to have a third heartbeat in the house. Happy new year everyone.
  20. Captain Zanello got off on December 5. Rico du Breil will get off on the 21st. Sorry can’t help with any names of the new crew. We were on the Moon TA and the next two Caribbean cruises and thought the ship and crew were lovely. Our opinion of the wines differs from that of the OP. We were disappointed that the menus in La Terrazza and Atlantide haven’t changed in ages, however, the food is quite good. We greatly enjoyed the SALT Lab.
  21. What did you order? I was looking forward to Salt and hope this is a one off occurrence.
  22. Thank you for the replies. We like the fact that it is quieter than other venues and so convenient.
  23. Does the Observation library have a bar? If so, are there coffee/tea service in the morning and cocktails in the evening?
