  1. Great.Glad to hear that. The previous groups were from Ukraine. They were very talented.
  2. The smaller ships had excellent string quartets from Europe who played everything from classical to pop to show tunes etc. They appeared in different venues around the ship. Our favorite was before dinner when they would play Bach and The Beatles, and much in between. Are they on Riviera as well?
  3. Hurricane Fiona has caused such devastation this week in Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic and other islands that cruise lines may have to change itineraries to stop at other locations. Too early to tell. Schedules can be changed to stop at alternative islands . Good luck to PR and DR et al.
  4. In the Splendor suite, is there a TV in the living room or dining area? The brochure shows TV in the bedroom, the media room and veranda, but not living room.
  5. Competitive? Pool loungers, bar stools, MDR tables, shady spots, tour busses, window seats, check ins, theater seats and most everything else to do with cruising.
  6. So, back to the original question, would there be any difference in the passengers? Everyone on the smaller ships was very friendly. Hopefully it is not more competitive on the larger ships.
  7. Other than the number of passengers and sheer size, what are the main differences between the two size ships for cruisers? We have been on Nautica and Sirena and have now booked Riviera and Vista which are much larger. We are platinum on Regent and their main ships are around 750 pax. What can we expect on the "O" larger ships?
  8. Are the fitness center and aerobics room open at night? Perhaps the noise above is limited to daytime.
  9. Thanks for the info. It just seems that a suite under the fitness and aerobics rooms might hear some stomping. We are booked.
  10. Can someone please comment on the Oceania suites on Riviera deck 12 ? These are under the fitness center and aerobics room, etc. Is noise an issue for these excellent, expensive suites? Thanks.
  11. Sorry to learn of your illness We were booked on this cruise but cancelled . Please give us an account of your quarantine experience. Get well soon.
  12. Is Regent still putting passengers into a quarantine area on the ship if they test positive? For example, they were using cabins on deck 6 aft on the Explorer. The point of the question is: can you still spend your 14 day cruise shut in a cabin? I am not blaming them at all, just raising the question. The other cruise lines were operating the same way.
