  1. Thanks Jane. I knew it was going to be hot and humid in Cartagena, and prepared for it by wearing a loose fitting, linen dress, but boy of boy! Also going through the Canal, we would open our infinite veranda window to look down at the water levels, and the entire room steamed up, so we'd have to close the window, then open it again once the room cooled down, etc. Great experience going through the Canal, though!
  2. @firefly333 I love grey, Jane! All of our bedrooms are grey, both in our home in NJ, as well as in our Condo here in Florida. When will you be making the "big move"?
  3. Aw, it almost looks like Eva is praying! We had a great cruise, but boy, was it very hot and humid!!! Phew!
  4. @Sea Dog I hope you are doing so much better with your PT on your knee, Greg! How is Linda doing with hers?
  5. After being gone for 11 days, and been busy the past two days, I am 35 pages behind!! I hope everyone who celebrated a Birthday or Anniversary, that you all had a memorable day! I understand that our dear Dani @dani negreanu celebrated her Birthday while I was at Sea. Either Graham or Jennifer had brought that to my attention. Speaking of Graham and Jennifer, Jim and I truly enjoyed the time we spent with Nikki and Graham, and Jennifer and Dave. I also was happily introduced to my first of several Snowflake martinis by these wonderful friends. Yum!! @FromSea2ShiningSea Have the best time in Japan, Helen and Marty! @BonTexasNY I'm glad to hear that your hernia operation is over, and I hope you are feeling great! Is your daughter Jennifer and your Grands still visiting?
  6. Hi there! We were on the Homeric to Bermuda either 1982, or 1983. We cruised around the 4th of July, huge family get together. We had a great time, we "bought" our own horse and had fun decorating it for the horse race. Our daughters were in the 7th and 10th grades. They had a really fun time teaching English to some of the young crew. Thanks for the memory of my cruise. We had rain on our last day and pretty rough seas, but a fun time all around!😊
  7. Bon Voyage Lisa, Owen, and Andrew! Say hi to Harvey in Playmakers for me. He was our waiter in Schooner last year on our Bella cruise!
  8. @ringers0815 Wow, but every one of your many, many pictures are so beautiful! I have to say,I had never heard of bluebottles, and had to google it to learn what they are. Nasty!!!! However, my day is not wasted, since I learned about the bluebottles! Thank you so much for sharing all of your awesome pictures with us! After you get off in Brisbane, do you plan on meeting up with the ship on any other parts of the World Cruise?🥰
  9. Hey Raye.. our friends Carol and Andy are on your cruise this week, also. They were with us on our first Bella Cruise last year. They sent me a picture after they got on board last Sunday, and I asked if that was Harvey, our waiter in the Schooner Bar last year, in their picture, and they said it sure was! He remembered them, as well as their daughter and granddaughter. He was working at Playmakers when they saw him last week.🥰
  10. @grapau27 Graham, my sincere condolences to your dear niece Sara on her dad's passing last evening. To you and to Pauline, as well. May he Rest in Peace.🙏
  11. I love Iris. Growing up, we had so many beautiful purple/blue iris. So many, that we would cut them and bring them to the nuns in our school. Jim and I bought our first home in 1975, and I tried growing Iris, but to no avail. I did really great with Black Eyed Susan's, though! After moving to South Jersey 7 years ago, I planted Iris, and they are doing great there, as well as multiplying!
  12. Debbie, this is exactly what I had been offered, just like Eric. I was so happy to have picked #3 also. Although I never had to wear glasses until I turned 40, my eyes got progressively worse over the years. I love not having to wear glasses anymore!
  13. Jane, it will be 5 years this August since I had my Cataract surgeries. If I wanted what my insurance covered, I'd have the corrective lenses but I'd need reading glasses. I was thinking of just doing that, but one of my daughters told me if I went with the more expensive lenses, I'd no longer need to wear any glasses. I paid $1,750.00 per eye, so $1,750.00 x 2, so $3,500.00. Immediate eyesite..no glasses! I am 20/20 in my right eye, and 20/25 in my left. So glad I had it done! Prior to the cataracts, I was wearing strong bifocals. I don't know how bad your eyesight is, but I was amazed at how I could see so clearly, and how vivid the colors became for me. Good luck with whatever way that you decide to go.
