I love garlic!!!!! You've got quite a bounty of tomatoes, etc. already, John! I've only got flowers on my (2) tomato plants, and my( 2) pepper plants are starting to look promising.😉 Our (2) cherry tomato plants have been producing tomatoes for the past month or so. 😊 We've given up on vegetable gardens since moving here. The Groundhogs won out. We only have our plants in box planters now.

Jim and I spent our morning painting the deck off the kitchen and 3 Season room. It was a hot and sunny day, so the paint dried quickly enough to give it the two coats. It helped that our retractable awning provided some shade for almost half of the deck. So glad it's done! Last week we power-washed the concrete around the pool. Pool opening is this Friday, when it's expected to be 90 degrees here. School gets out next Thursday around here...

I'm glad to hear that you will be cruising on Adventure with dear friends of yours this August, HBE! Good to hear that you do have other cruises on your radar, and that Bella 2.0 is one of them; know that you have many friends from here who will be cruising on the Wonder.....

Believe it or not, my DH and I have never used a credit card for a meal. Not only do we not want to give our card to a waiter who takes it away for several minutes, but my DH has always said that if we needed a credit card in order to eat out, perhaps we're better off just staying home. Old fashioned, perhaps, but that is how he feels.

After reading @gumshoe958and @Island2Dweller's comments about the size of the Premier Inn rooms, I'm going to begin a new search of hotels. We plan on staying in London for 5 nights, and prior to Covid waylaying our plans back in 2021, we had reservations at the Park Plaza Westminster Hotel. I'll probably just look into that hotel and talk to my TA for more input. Just reading your comment about the Tower being in the City of London, which is a city within a city with lots of history has me getting really excited about out trip! A friend of mine who grew up in England suggested we buy the Oyster card prior to our visit to get around. I've read of people finding it easier to use their credit card for travel, but I'd rather not take a chance losing my CC. Thank you for your input!

Thank you for your input. This is certainly something to consider! I was hoping not to bring big luggage, but just the thought that large luggage could be an issue makes me realize how small the Premier Inn's rooms must be. Thank you!
