  1. From what I've been told, it will be taken away from here in a day or two; I'm guessing it will then be flocking another house somewhere!😊 It really makes us smile!
  2. Poor Lola! She surely lucked out by being adopted by you!🥰 Our Lola is 3 years old, and had been in two homes, as well as finally being cared for by a Vet before she came to live with us; she has issues when her momma (my daughter) heads out the door. She starts to whimper, and sometimes she would begin to pant and shake. Luckily, that's becoming less and less, but she will begin whimpering when our daughter walks out the door. Lola will sometimes run into the room nearest the driveway and stands on her two legs; when she sees the car pull out, she begins to bark loudly. She is such a love; we are so lucky to have this beautiful dog.
  3. I can't imagine having to live like that, but sometimes it's what you have to live with. At least they have it figured out. When life gives you lemons and you make some lemonade.
  4. Congratulations on your new addition to your family! She is beautiful! Just in time for Christmas!🎄 We have a Lola also in our household; she is a rescue dog who originated in Alabama. She will more than likely see her first snowstorm by next month.
  5. Good morning Graham; or I should say good afternoon! It is sunny this morning, but 27 degrees with a feel of 19. Have a wonderful day, and stay warm!
  6. What a wonderful time of the year going to enjoy the Nativity service with your grands. I remember many years of driving to Connecticut to see our grandchildren dressed as angels for their Church Nativity. It's so beautiful! Our Church does the same here at our Christmas Eve Service.
  7. It's awful. I saw on the news how the entire first floor of a house in NJ has been flooded. I'm sure there are countless homes throughout the East in this same predicament.😔
  8. There are 12 flamingos, made of plastic. Jim said it made him smile as he looked outside this morning.😊 and, he's always loved flamingos. He's been given a gift or two of pictures, etc. in the past, so this was perfect! Our grandson Jack was in his apartment with several friends, and I burst into his living room and announced that we had been flocked. They all looked at me and asked what that meant, so I told them to just go out in front of the house and see. Everyone just loved it, and it was for a good cause as a fundraiser in town.
  9. We just came home from Ryan's Holiday Concert, which was phenomenal! So..we just pulled into the driveway, and...we've been "Flocked"! My phone doesn't take very good pictures, but we've been Flocked by several Christmas flamingos. (This was done as a fundraiser, where someone pays to "surprise" the homeowners).
  10. I love that your daughter has such a great sense of humor! It sure helps!!
  11. How awful for them! It's got to be really horrible, especially since it's gotten so cold. The wind is back here again. Cold and blustery.
  12. How frightening to hear that the ship was going to be diverted due to an emergency, all while your daughter was in Medical at the time of the announcement. Thank goodness it wasn't her!..We weren't as lucky on our NE/Canada cruise 2 years ago, when Jim and I had to end our cruise when we got to Halifax for Jim's emergency gallbladder surgery there. Exciting news about your Granddaughter's Wedding in two weeks! I am sure your daughter will be feeling so much better after her surgery, and she'll be able to dance the night away at her daughter's Wedding. Congratulations, Dave!
  13. Glad to hear that you all made it home safely last night. We all know the saying "It's not whether you win or lose, it's how you play the game!" The boys on Owen's team are all winners, Andrew! How'd your Mom make out this morning at the surgeons?
  14. Good to hear the smoke haze is expected to clear. We had quite the Summer here with smoke haze as well as occasional ash hitting our pool.
  15. Good to hear your Mom's got her electricity back. Also, I love your positivity in all of this! Hopefully you get yours back soon.
  16. I'm always afraid of the storm door getting torn off during wind storms on our front door, as well as one of the doors to our 3 Season room. The door on the 3 Season room has to be pulled shut all of the time, and that isn't always done around here.🤔 Both of your daughters really got hit hard between the storm door coming off on one house, and the vinyl siding being torn off on your other daughters home. How is your pregnant daughter feeling?
