It's been a busy couple of days here. Friday was Jack's 16 Birthday. He came home from school and announced that he and his friends had won an award for "Best Visual Effects" for their 3 minute movie that students all over Ocean County were assigned to make. He celebrated his Birthday with friends in the backyard that night while they watched movies "under the stars" once it got dark out. Yesterday, our granddaughter enjoyed the Taylor Swift Concert with her cousin. She decorated a white Cowboy hat with different colored rhinestones depicting TS many concerts. Of course, she was dressed accordingly for a TS concert! Today is Ryan's 14th Birthday, and he celebrated with his friends doing Rock Climbing. We certainly lucked out with the weather this weekend. Happy Memorial Day everyone!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Beautiful family, Sue! I love the cake. Did you make it? Have a great cruise on the Allure. I loved that ship! +1 @BonTexasNY I am so sorry that your grandniece has to deal with this at the age of 16. Thankfully she has improved somewhat from where she was last year.❤️ Beautiful, Greg!! Love it!!! Oh Dani, I am so sorry that your DS2 + DIL are looking to move, but totally understandable.😢

Debbie, how often do you re-apply the new polymeric sand for the pavers? I just asked Jim about this. I always power-wash the pavers, ridding them of the weeks that like to pop up. Does this keep the weeds from appearing? Jim and I always head to Florida while the Christmas tree is still up. Our daughter and grandsons like to keep it up until Little Christmas, and then put it out to the curb for Sanitation to pick it up on certain days. When we came home last month, I saw the dried-out tree against the back fence by the fire pit. Last night after having Birthday cake for Jack, and Birthday fruit-filled watermelon for Ryan's Birthday (he prefers fruit to cake) everyone went outside to the firepit, and they (thankfully) disposed the tree. I guess a new tradition has begun!🤔

@George C What a great, happy, fun-filled whirlwind you are having in NYC! Enjoy Funny Girl. I saw that play on Broadway over 50 years ago. I believe the actress was Mimi Hines who played the part of Funny Girl. You really did luck out with the weather! The forecast originally was going to be rain, which is typical for Memorial Day weekend. Many a barbeque was held inside over the years due to a damp and rainy day.

I'm not aware of the Express Lane. It's been several years since traveling along I-4. We do use the Express Lane when traveling along I-95 in Virginia. That is, when it's open in the direction that we are traveling. It was not open for our trip home last month. Traveling through Va. was a total nightmare, adding at least 3 hours more to our trip.

Thank you, OB! I am so not good at this! I will recruit my grandson Jack over the weekend to help me out. Jack turns 16 tomorrow! Thanks Greg! Lola is actually our daughters 3rd Rescue Dog. She had 2 older rescues, Bonnie and Clyde, who have since passed. Clyde had Diabetes and other health issues, I don't know how my daughter did it..she had to give poor Clyde insulin shots daily. Bonnie and Clyde were brother and sister. Ryan has been pining for another dog. He's been on Cloud nine since Lola's arrival.😊

I forgot to mention that we have a new addition to our family! Lola arrived by van from Alabama this past Saturday morning!! Lola is a 3 year old "Rescue dog". She is 13 pounds, is a well mannered young lady with gray and black hair. Her face, tail, and long legs are black, while the rest of her body is gray. She has stolen all of our hearts!! Her previous family had to give her up since she needs a lot of attention and affection. She has certainly come to the right home, because she is so loved by us all!❤️
