  1. We ate at Goat and Vine(loved it), we did tasting at Miramonte (ok), bought a tshirt for the wife with Bunnies from another winery. Drove around and looked at the area (liked it) ate at the Bluewater Grill (meh). Went to Costco for a nice bottle of wine to share with a classmate since I was underwhelmed by the wine tasting and pushed away due to the pricing of the wines I felt were ok. This was where we watched the most BD.
  2. So, while we were in Temecula, San Diego, Joshua Tree and Palm Springs, we watched quite a bit of BD. Only one episode of the current, but several of ones I was familar with and some in Norway I wasn’t aware of. I must say the show is a good way to waste time when you are not really watching tv. It doesn’t matter which episode you watch, as they all seem to have 5 main themes that get randomly repeated with new players. So, watching football would seem to be more timely to me…. 🤣. Although watching the Steelers is probably a case of nothing else to watch!😂 jc
  3. I have been gone, haven’t followed the news. So I may be completely clueless. I haven’t read the last 2 weeks of posts, again the clueless potential is real. Volcanoes National Park is based on Kilauea volcano, and the one that is currently being talked about is Moana Loa. IE, I think your tour will 100% happen, but I am not sure you will see Moana Loa. I remember from 2003 the last time we were on the big island that I remember Moana Loa as a mountain to the west of the park. Again, I could be completely wrong, as I have done no research and clearly am not near either volcano.
  4. This is exactly correct. This thread is a text book example. I, personally, love the reactions to the OP, they are far more illuminating that the OPs post.🤣
  5. You know this actually happened? I wasn’t on the phone with the OP, so I have no actual facts about what happened. It is fascinating, reading threads like this because there are so many real clues, and yet complete chaos follows.😇 jc
  6. By the way it is snowing here. We are off to the west coast Wednesday. So-Cal. Wedding, wine tastings (Temecula), Joshua Tree, and Palm Springs. JC
  7. I think Anzac Day is tied to the Gallipoli invasion date? I know we celebrated it on a cruise from NZ 20 years ago with the Kiwis.
  8. And her significant other didn’t report her missing, from a report I read, for over 20 hours. Foul play?
  9. Sure, don’t bring it up since it is unknown. Putting a positive spin on a bad thing is human nature. Trying to change that seems like tilting at wind mills to me. jc
  10. Jimbo, think of it as plan A and plan B. Plan A is best if you never catch the virus. Plan B is inevitable. I think I had it last Xmas, but I tested multiple times and never tested positive. I took a test for fun last spring when I was having seasonal allergies, and it showed positive, so I went and got tested 3 more times within a few days and all were negative. So, how do you know you actually have been infected. So, when Plan B occurs, it is for the best, as it may help you in the future (no guarantee). I felt like crap after both of my Pfizer shots. Who knows the downside long term of those, it hasn’t been studied yet. So, that part of Plan A may be worse than Plan B. I don’t know you don’t know. Judging when you don’t know is just…. JC
  11. I was going to say in 2006 when we took about 500 people on a company / customer cruise out of Galveston, a few of my customers were completely blitzed before sailaway. JC
  12. Probably. I haven’t really paid attention, except they decided not enough people ever paid for first class, that they decided to eliminate it. On long haul flights first is best, and there is a difference between Biz. Not high on my list of things to figure out though. We have flown first class a few times, but generally we fly an upgraded version of coach or premium economy on long haul. On US flights we fly coach. JC
  13. Isn’t AA eliminating first class? Soon only Biz will be available. We mostly fly coach because I am cheap, and my wife even cheaper. 🤣
  14. Yeah, all of the suites are gone. However the balconies that are left are going cheap. I am guessing it is not maxed out but is probably at near 100%. Looking at balcony cabins, I think there were about 20 left.
  15. Are you on the Harmony December 10? If so, we need to meet. JC
  16. Yes, social security, doesn’t trust the postal system to send you a new card! I have a card that was issued when I was about 5, which was a lifetime ago. JC
  17. Agree, I think I had the option although don’t actually remember, but to me that is a no-brainer if you are ever going to get on an airplane.
  18. My current drivers license is real id compliant. I think all states are supposed to be that way by sometime next year. So, for most people a passport card is worthless. IMHO.
  19. I think TAs and TPs and other repositioning cruises are probably not included in this change. But am not 100% certain. JC
