  1. After final payment call and ask for a kids count. They will give you a breakdown of how many kids by age groups. There should be plenty of kids, and make sure to sign up for the kids club (I think he will be in the teen one- more of a meet up and hang out place than an organized activities club. He should have a great time!
  2. In past cruises we bring sodas and bottled waters along with all the rest of the coats and carry on junk (we are a family of 5, so 3 kids that sometimes need stuffed or whatever else), we bring it all in a collapsible wagon. Easiest way to make sure nothing gets left behind while juggling everyone and the wagon folds flat and fits under a bed. When going for a beach day near the ship we have the wagon to carry our towels, sand toys, sunscreen and all the rest!
  3. I don't remember anything particularly special about lunch, but dinner is really good. Desserts usually include gingerbread souffle, cookies, some sort of English Christmas pudding. Other foods you will see on the ship that are special for the holidays are stollen and decorated Christmas cookies with milk. They used to have a gingerbread house decorating contest pre pandemic and there are lots of holiday activities including a kids fair and Santa passing out gifts to the kids (stuffed animals on the cruises we went on). We love the Christmas cruises and all the beautiful decorations!
  4. Are larger/ van taxis available at the Port? Just wondering if our family of 5 will need 1 or 2 to get to the walled city
  5. I will probably watch ro see the ship and ports, not holding my breathe that this will be a good show!
  6. No this isn't for a cruise but a new TV show. A finding love on a cruiseship while doing challenges kind of reality show (think Love Island or a cross between Survivor and the Bachelor) Hosts of the show are Rebecca Romijin and Jerry O'Connell. The show is called The Real Love Boat and is filmed on the Regal Princess in the Mediterranean. The commercials play the Love Boat theme and have similar graphics to the original show, but doesn't look like a scripted revamp but more of a reality style show.
  7. Just saw a commercial for a new show called the Real Love Boat. It is airing October 5 on CBS. It is on board Regal Princess. Guess I will have to watch, hopefully it's good incase it plays in our staterooms in the future!
  8. My kids all loved the kids club at that age. They are very well organized and run with lots of planned activities as well as individual activities (video games, board games, table games (depending on ship air hockey, skee ball, frooz ball). Outside kids club there are a lot less things for kids and most are family activities. Most ships have a mini golf or croquet area, ping pong tables and there are usually games available in the library. Of course there are pools, movies under the stars and most activities in the patter would be fine for a child that is interested.
  9. We did the family suite with that huge balcony. Great in ports, almost unusable at sea. Chairs had to be tied down and it was eyewatering, hold on to your small children windy!
  10. If you call princess you can ask for a kids count. They will tell you how many kids are booked and then you can ask if it's enough for kids club.
