  1. Having the aft pool for adults only is a small perk that we have enjoyed on most of our cruises. The Victory was the only ship we've been on that the rule didn't apply. It definitely changed the atmosphere and not for the better in my opinion.

I think it should be adults only systemwide but I guess I wasn't home when the beards called to check on my opinion.

  2. Been there twice. The first time was ok but nothing special. The second time confirmed that the first time was nothing special. I found the food in the MDR to be just as good.

The kicker was on the second trip my wife and I each walked in with glasses of wine.

They told us we could either drink it before being seated or pay for a corkage fee. Ridiculous since we didn't have a bottle let alone a cork. We drank the wine quickly but

I was too annoyed to enjoy anything else. I'm done.......

  3. Hi All....Been trying to locate a schedule or list of ships that will be repositioning in 2015 but have been unable to locate one.

We repositioned last year, 2013, from Puerto Rico to Miami and it was an great experience.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

  4. Cruising has a lot to do with what YOU make of it. Do yourself and Carnival stockholders a favor and cancel immediately. YOU are already looking for excuses instead of looking forward to a great vacation opportunity.

PS...Carnival can't control the weather so that excuse is out!

  5. I couldn't think of a better way to go then the last day of a wonderful cruise. Carnival could make this a money maker by cremating the deceased right there on the ship and allowing the family to set the ashes free. Of course Platinum and FTTF folks would have their own shoot! hahaha!

  6. My PVP is excellent, but he doesn't call me for price drops. Literally, he has hundreds of active bookings at any given time and he would need to manually search each individual sailing to see if there have been price drops. Not only would it be time consuming, but it would be impossible to do while still performing his obligations.

With that said, there's an iPhone app that I recently downloaded which does track price drops. I won't post the name of it because I think it may be violating Cruise Critic guidelines, but I downloaded it just last week and I already had my upcoming cruise fare adjusted $400! :D The site automatically emails you when prices go up or down. It was awesome. I was on the phone with Royal within seconds of getting the notification!

Have a question for you and need your experience.....Thanks!

  7. Great review! We have been to Grand Turk on 3 separate cruises with Carnival. It rained each and every time!. Last trip it was sunny so we got off and found a great location for the day and within 30 minutes, wooosh! rainstorms that stuck around the rest of the day.

Conclusion: Hope we are not on your ship if it goes to Grand Turk!!

I also want to commend you. I've been looking at reviews for years and in 99% of the time, the oldest child is moody, sad, making faces, etc. Not your daughter! She was happy and smiling whether she was alone or with her little siblings! Congrat's for raising a sweet child!

  8. Great Review, Thanks! We loved the Conquest- and every other Carnival ship we have been on. I've entered the hairy chest contest on 4 cruises and finished 2nd on each. If it

were truly about a "hairy chest" I might have won one or two but it is more about shaking

your butt and dancing; it's fun anyhow.....by the way, I'm HOT so there goes your conclusion that hot guys never participate, LOL!

  9. We used to always purchase the future cruise certificates as well. This past cruise in Nov. 2013 we went ahead and booked our Dec. 2014 cruise. It was not a pleasant experience in that the line was long, there was only one person working the desk, folks took a while to complete their choices. Folks should be able to spend as much time as necessary to make a decision, but maybe add an express lane for those who already decided. Was 2.5 hours

at the desk worth the $100.00.......personal choice, I guess......

  10. Sadly, incidents like that occur in US cities every day. I'm sure it was an isolated occurrence. Although I think it to a horrible situation I don't think that the bad guy knew

whether or not it was a Carnival excursion or not. I will continue to get off in these ports,

use my head, and hope that nothing of this sort happens. Same thing goes for my home town where bad things happen to good people.

  11. We have made a 10:15 from Miami in the past. We got off first thing with self assist and was at the airport at 9:00am. So it can be done...

Would I do it again? No Way!. It was nerve racking!!. Better off eating a leisurely breakfast and hanging out on the Lido till they call last call and then head out.

Your blood pressure will thank you!!

  12. Deposit will be $500. total or $250. pp.

There is no negotiating on price or OBC. Everything is laid out. Look at the cost of the trip the day before you cruise so you'll have a good idea of what the fee will be.

The days of Monty Hall & Let's Make a Deal are long gone!!

  13. Just did the same thing on the Conquest in Nov. We booked the Glory for Dec 2014.

First off, the future cruise desk is hardly ever open. We finally found someone there on the last sea day and the line was huge. We were number 4 on line and it took well over

2 hours to get helped! Several folks in front of us weren't sure of where or when they wanted to cruise again......

With that said, we booked; transferred the booking to a TA and received the "friends and family certificates", and OBC. Patience required!

  14. Well....you will need to fill out a form per traveler that the steward puts in your cabin.

After providing the information to guest services they will provide you with tags for your luggage. Luggage is picked up by 10:30p the night before departure and you see it again when you land at your final destination. The cost is $20. per traveler plus any airline baggage fee's. It's very convenient! We've used it four times and had nothing but good results.

  15. Recently off the Conquest (Nov. 24) and would have to say that the majority of folks were

cruise casual on elegant night; myself included. They would not seat you if you were in shorts but that was about the only requirement. Saw several people in flip flops and wearing ball caps.

Like others have said, I really don't care what others are wearing as long as they appear to be clean. I enjoy being comfortable while cruising so kakhi pants and a collared shirt is my fashion statement.

  16. I did a mock booking for a 7 day cruise on the Glory for next Dec. There was no early saver rate offered yet under the guest appreciation rate towards the

bottom where the final price is given it states:

    Lowest Price Guarantee- Free

Does that mean that if the price drops I am guaranteed the lowest price offered

from now to sailing just like early saver or is there a different definition for

lowest price guarantee? Not sure if this duck is a duck.....
