I guess the question is Why? I've been on both ships and both ships are wonderful but different experiences.
I suggest you go ahead with your Vista cruise and book another cruise on the Conquest for a later date.
Can't go wrong either way............Enjoy!
-
We prefer Conquest size ships over Breeze and Vista ships. Really missed the wow factor when entering the Vista and their
theater was designed where more folks can't see then can; really horrible.
-
I have and it went fine.......pretty sure he has an assistant that replies to most of his messages.
Folks message him asking for "freebies" all the time. I'm sure he must be sick of it.
I congratulated him on some achievement......

Hi....I'm Maxydu from NC and I am a "cruiseaholic".
13 cruises equaling 88 days at SEA and one booked........
-
We were on the Vista this past May and attended one adult only show that was bordering on "indecent".
I've seen a lot in my job with the US DOJ but I was even glad that my 31 year old daughter was not present.
There's fun and then there's going over the top. On this night the comedian did just that. Please find something else
for your daughter to do......

Guess the Pub Crawl is out.......They have an open air shuttle train which goes to all the sightseeing spots.
It's fun for all ages!
-
Nope.....The difference is probably $35. per meal in steakhouse versus $15. in Cucina......
-
We too experienced this new procedure on the Vista in May. It worked to a tee and I must say that I was skeptical about the idea. Upon entering the ship they took a current picture of me since my passport photo has a goo-tee which I no longer have. My wife's passport photo was used.....Several folks wanted a new picture and they were granted their request. From conversations with the room stewards, the reason for this change was so that folks who were not supposed to enter their cabins prior to time indicated didn't.

I am unsure of what you are talking about. Yes I can pay up to get the balcony and I am fine with my ocean view room. I just know there are ways to go about getting an upgrade. I am looking for suggestions. I don't know what is funny or sarcastic. As you can see other people have gave real suggestions...If you don't have anything nice to say about the topic...why say anything at all?! Have a great day.
I was thinking that you might be making a mockery of the folks who write John Herald looking for free bee's and were trying to be funny or sarcastic. There was nothing in my response which wasn't nice.
I basically said if you want something in life go for it even if it means paying more. This isn't a dress rehearsal. Begging on a message board won't get you very far......Good luck in your quest!
-
Remember the old saying...."You get what you pay for".......instead of begging, enjoy life and cough up a few bucks.
Can you imagine if every Diamond or Platinum cruiser had expectations of special treatment. Geez.........
If your thread was meant to be funny or sarcastic, I missed the punch line.

You had me at you "were disappointed with your Vista cruise" . We were on the Vista this month and sure there were somethings done that I would have done differently but all in all it's a great ship, with all types of entertainment for everyone, excellent food, at a reasonable price. Seems like you would be one tough cookie to satisfy.
Good luck in your search for superiority.............See ya Felicia!

Well, if you're leaving the little ones at home you can rekindle the romance flame......if there aren't any kids you can make one.......just an idea! Then there's always people watching, pier runners, folks in robes, and huge people in little bathing suits that think they're all that. Geez I miss cruising!

Sorry this happened to you. In my opinion since Effy is on board through a contract with Carnival and you entered into
a contract with Carnival, Carnival should intervene on your part. Getting the word out there that Effy was/is deceitful
and the manner in which you were treated was not above board is the only gratification you will get. I hope you like the earrings enough to let it go and wear them with pride. Lesson learned and shared.......
-
I know you will check next time or not go at all.
Not understanding your message.....Am I alone?
-
Great to hear good news with all the complaints that are usually reported. Glad you were up graded and enjoyed your voyage. We were on the Conquest about 5 years ago and have another sailing booked for April 2018.
-
Loved the Vista except the frustration of the smaller main theatre and the visual sight issues in the balcony.
Never had a bad cruise!
-
As you can see from my signature we have been on several ships multiple times.....each cruise is different!
Enjoy!
-
Been on both.....The Vista has all the bells and whistles, and people, and a small main theatre......The Breeze has most of the same but less people and bigger theatre. You can't lose!
-
Have been there on 3 cruises that went there and never missed the port....
-
We just completed our 13th cruise on Carnival, and this last voyage was on the Vista. It was nice new and shiny but as you
can see from my signature that we have been on several classes of ships. We prefer the Conquest class of ship such as the Glory, Valor, Conquest and have our next booked on the Conquest. Just being on a cruise ship is important part.
Venture out and see what's best for you!
-
The ship goes into dry dock in September so is probably needing a little TLC
-
Hope they don't make the same mistake twice in the main theatre on the Horizon as on the Vista.
There are poles blocking the view of the stage. I hope they listen to all the complaints....suggestions!
-
We were on the Vista May 6-14. Although it's new and we had a good time, I won't be booking that ship nor its sister ship the Horizon. There were people everywhere. Not shoulder to shoulder but everywhere. The way they styled the Atrium does away with the wow factor. No glass elevators adorning the area. In fact there were less elevator options as a whole.
The Main theatre is a nightmare. First off it's half the size of the Conquest/Glory/Valor size ships for twice as many people.
There are poles everywhere which block the sight vision to the stage. The architect failed on this layout big time.
To see shows, comedy club etc. you had to get on line 40 minutes early due to the magnitude of the crowds. Getting off in ports was tedious. Better off waiting 30 minutes after arrival rather than waiting on line for an hour before.......The food in the MDR was very good. Lunch on the Lido deck was a challenge due to people everywhere......
So....this was our 13th Carnival Cruise and we enjoyed them all. Our 14th will be on the Conquest where there are less folks and where you can see the shows.......Hope this helps in your decision.

Nope...and the credit for a 7 day cruise booked while onboard has gone down from $100. to $50.
The incentive is gone!
Finally made it to the next level!
