  1. Hey now! Proud product of public schools. damn dangling modifiers
  2. If I don’t speak for myself, who will? 🙂
  3. Meh. So is not being able to handle what other people wear to eat..
  4. Can I just chime in that it’s among my pet peeves that so many people can’t spell DINING!? end rant
  5. I will. it is what it is. Im just happy to be on the ship!
  6. That’s what I figured. Ah well. It’s my 6th time doing a guarantee room. First time I’m not thrilled. You win some, you lose some.
  7. I booked a balcony guarantee for my upcoming cruise. The room hasn’t been officially “assigned”, but I can see it using the barcode trick. Am I able to switch to a different room in that category? Or do I need to wait until everything is “officially” assigned?
  8. If I move the night on board, will they honor the price I paid?
  9. Right. I'm not concerned about that. I was concerned about the order of MDR menus-- especially for a 9 day. The USA Night menu does NOTHING for me.
  10. I know. That’s what I did. The ship only started doing the 9 day itinerary I’m doing last week.
  11. I want to book Chefs Table for my upcoming cruise. I was waiting to see the current itinerary to figure out which day I wanted to do it based on menus. Of course, the day the menus are posted, the price goes up. Does Chefs Table typically get discounted ON the ship? Or, like most cruise planner things, am I better off booking in advance?
  12. Oh I hate the app with a passion. I’d be OK with an electronic version of the actual compass. but otherwise, yeah. They’re gonna have to provide a paper copy for me!
  13. Is it just the app listing? Or is there an option for an electronic pdf version of the actual cruise compass?
  14. That’s That’s also kind of where I was going with it…
  15. Something similar… On my cruise on Oasis last summer, I kept noticing drinks in the MDR being charged to my account. They were NOT things that we ordered, and were being charged during an earlier seating. I went to guest services and they took care of it, but said they were charged using our MDR server’s ID. So clearly he wrote something down wrong. He played dumb when we asked him, but GS said he’d have to sign in to the terminal to order the drink and physically order the drinks. When did they start using room numbers instead of the longer folio numbers to charge for on board purchases? Seems to me it’d be harder to mistake an 8 digit number than a 4 digit room number…
  16. Sorry to revive this thread… but has anyone heard what this maintenance is yet?
  17. Of course not. Really just making sure I can wear shorts and a tshirt to get coffee when I wake up. Lol
  18. This will be my first cruise as Diamond. I know the lounge has a coffee machine. I also see the lounge has a “smart casual dress code”. Am I seriously going to have to dress up to run upstairs and get a cup of coffee in the morning?
  19. That pinnacle pin sounds like it would hurt! 🤣
  20. Well thank goodness there are tablecloths so you don’t need to see!
  21. But why does it matter to you at all? Whether it’s royal or a restaurant with table cloths (what do table cloths have to do with anything??)… why do you give even an iota of a care what someone else is wearing?
  22. Can I please have you give this same rant to my mother in law... whose entire birthday I apparently ruined last year because she didn't like my shoes?
  23. Sorry. Misread that you were specifically referring to Ruth Chris' policy.
  24. Who is it rude to though? The cruise line is the "host". If the host doesn't care, then that's all that matters.
  25. By now we are all familiar with the new menus. But for people who have taken cruises that are longer than 7 days, are you seeing additional menus or repeats? I’ve also seen Asian night, USA night and Mediterranean night menus posted somewhere, but they may have been on cruises leaving from non-US ports.
