I think so too. We were expecting high tops on jubilee and were surprised to see table height. Maybe I’m wrong but we’ve done teppenyaki on all the ships that have it and thought all were high tops.

And gamblers wouldn’t like it if it was based only on cruise fair paid - and carnival would never do anything to alienate their gamblers. i like the idea of having to have recent cruises to keep status. Maybe you can have a legacy status with lifetime cruises but if you have multiple cruises in a year you get a plus after your tier - like Diamond Plus, or Platinum Plus and Diamond, Platinum are still there. The Plus cruisers maybe get additional perks that they can’t give to all.

Seems like every cruise these days is one of the casino cruises so hard to avoid the crowds of the ultras, elites, or premier cruises even if you don’t book one and book under a different rate.

We just got off an Elite and it’s is more fun than just a regular casino offer. More interaction with the hosts, other players and the drawings do make it enjoyable.

Ultras are never super compelling. The prizes are the hook. We’ve taken many casino offers and have never taken an Ultra.

We turn off the data and just use it for business texts and calls. Use ship WiFi for data. Sucks paying for both but keeps us cruising!

Totally worth it. I like it better than steakhouse.

We’ve done att plan but just for voice and text. The included data isn’t very much so also get the WiFi. If your people at home and you both have iPhones iMessage works with WiFi plan even though terms and conditions says it doesn’t.

Same, 9:30 arrival for Celebration a few weeks ago. Boarding didn’t start until after 10:30.

I think this is only during the lunch service. We enjoy Chibang and usually eat both lunch and dinner multiple times.

Prizes higher yes, but elite perks much better. Elite is DOUE everywhere for 2 vs drinks only in casino for one. Add in limo service, excursion, bottle of liquor plus mixers in room and much more and Elite perks far exceed the bigger prize on Ultra.

Agree especially if they include DOUE as they usually have more fun play too. We did just get off an elite a couple weeks ago and I did win the nightly drawing twice and earned an additional $900 in fun play so it worked out.

Curious as to why this is a rookie mistake. When I have hand pay wins I’ll pay off some of my account. I also use gift cards to pay down account. This hasn’t seem to hurt my offers at all.

How can you be so sure points don’t matter when you highlight that they don’t disclose criteria? Many on here say points have changed their offers yet you argue everyone is wrong and points don’t matter. What is your source of information? Do you work in the casino department?

To say that points don’t matter is wrong. As I’ve earned more points, my offers have improved. Started off with just free inside and drinks in casino. Now I get up to suite offers and DOUE.

We picked up for MIL just inside the building right as you get dropped off. Pretty much the first doors you can enter as you pull in front of the building.

DOUE works day 1 out of TX once the ship leaves port. Works for both alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks.

Consistency seems to be back after some issues right after the re-start. I enjoy a few each cruise.

Carnival does a great job with dietary needs. Check with special needs before you leave and once on board.

Stock price alone doesn’t represent value of a company. The price difference is a meaningless comparison without factoring in shares outstanding. RCL has a higher market cap but it’s not 7-8 times higher based on share price.

On Celebration now. Pringles for sale in the liquor store. Unlike Jubilee, I did not see chips being served at the deli.
