  1. Money transferred to your player stays in bank. You have to cash out from casino cashier to get your money. It does not just transfer to sail and sign account.
  2. Congrats. Quick trip next week for us to the frozen tundra in CO and then Jubilee the following week. Bummed we couldn’t go this week with y’all. Have fun!
  3. Great start to the review. I always like your building pics. And who our age didn’t love the red light football game.
  4. We’ve had a couple that were complete chaos. We were Diamond but did not go to Diamond meet up as we were traveling with others. We started to leave as soon as first group was called and couldn’t even get down to debarkation level before they were calling the last group. It was awful experience
  5. It certainly does add up for family of four. But if it was to change your out of pocket wouldn’t change, the price of the cruise would go up. If the crew doesn’t make the same money they would have a difficult time staffing. Your out of pocket may go even higher as I believe there are corporate tax benefits for it being a gratuity. If they pay their employees a different way it could cost us the consumer even more.
  6. If you push the days out, do you grandfather existing? That always comes up in these discussions. I would like to see some type of annual award like airlines but still somehow keep your legacy level. Don’t change the tiers (except maybe add one more) but have something like Platinum+ or Diamond+ if you had 2 cruises in last year or 18 months. If you don’t have the 2 then you are just Platinum or Diamond without the plus. Then offer the pluses some additional perks - discounts on specality dining, WiFi, excursions or something.
  7. Maria’s contract was up a couple weeks back and she said she is not returning to Carnival. Too bad, she was awesome.
  8. Thanks. Haven’t been able to use WIFI calling either for sometime now but FaceTime usually always works. Seems like it would be better to block FaceTime and allow WiFi calling.
  9. So production of bottled water is exempt from inflation? Learned something new, thanks!
  10. Lot of things up in price in our everyday lives. Very few things are cheaper over the last couple of years and most are up significantly. If Carnival was the only place we were seeing increases it would be news. Not shocked by this increase.
  11. Ultimate only allows 3x on first bet instead of 4x which reduces your odds considerably compared to land based casinos. I quit playing it when they removed the 4x.
  12. No problems here either. Ordered 3 Thursday night and had email in minutes.
  13. This shows up on your cabin confirmation email down at the bottom in the Guest Notes section. Shows drink package info and OBC.
  14. I get the MDR choices to speed up service - and maybe force less people there. But lido makes no sense as you are standing right there and makes no difference in speed of service. I don’t buy the prep aspect. So much food is already prepared and this will just cause more prep in other areas as it’s not like people aren’t going to eat if they don’t get an omelette.
  15. Cucina, Chibang and Guys Pig & Anchor are free for the first visit. If like Mardi and Celebration, second visit to Cucina and Chibang is $8. Lunch at both are free as well. Be sure to select YTD to be able to enjoy them at early times during dinner time.
  16. Again, different kinds of effort. Your example is more physical effort.
  17. Depends on definition of effort. Different jobs require different effort - physical, mental, etc. I would say it is more difficult and thus are compensated for it.
  18. This happens in many professions. Those with experience get higher paying jobs that require different skills, knowledge and a different type of effort - doesn’t mean they work harder.
  19. You use adjusted dollars in one comparison vs real dollars in another. I get it, one can justify just about anything if you want. One thing is certain, the company wants higher revenues. How they get there or if they get there is TBD.
