Any reviews from these cruises this fall? We're interested in visiting these locations have done some land visits to the big Canadian cities ie Quebec City and Montreal but not the small Northeastern townships. The brochure promotions are lovely though the views are not always as promised according to weather and other factors. Would love to read some feedback for cruisers.
Thanks.

Going to Sapphire on my next visit.
Always a nice quiet lovely beach. It's nice over there and just far enough away from the port to where it's never busy or crowded. Catch a taxi back to town, hit Taphus keep the ball rolling and then head back to the ship.
Hi TT, did I read that you take a safari bus to Sapphire Beach?

The Priesmans did a trip a few years back you may find it informative
They posted guides they used etc
His late wife used a folding scooter for the trip
Some ports in Japan but other Countries in Asia as well
Thanks for this suggestion about the Preisman's photo blog. Like the OP we're interested in an Asian cruise. The photos and commentary are insprirational and educational. Japan is now on our list.

I am looking forward to experiencing AMA, after Viking and Uniworld.
Were you dissatisfied or unhappy with your first river cruises?

Look at guidedtoursisrael. We used them at both ports. They have a variety offered at each port.

Great thread @Got2Cruise. I've read some things I've never heard about. Need to research Danube, Prague and Transylvania. Our first RC is October with AMA the Mekong with pre and post extensions and free (!) add on to Bangkok.

@terry&mikeThanks for the beautiful photos! Your silk dress is amazing. So cool that your new duds will fit fine in your baggage. The view from your room is beautiful. I have read tha the views of the river aren't great - but that was a nice one. What an experience you had at Angkor Wat temple. You describe it so eloquently.

@terry&mikeGreat posts with photos and commentary. We are another South Florida couple looking ahead to Mekong river cruise with AMA. We will do the pre and post cruise land stays as offered and a free (!) 3 day Bangkok extension in October. How will you get your lovely tailor-made clothing home? Thanks for showing the lovely Tuxedo jacket. How about your silk dresses?
Enjoy.

I'd like to find the Oceania Cruises facebook page.
Thanks, Deb

Thanks @terry&mikeand @kassiopi. I reviewed his website. We're doing a 15 day leg of an around the world cruise with Oceania. I'm getting no interest on CC roll call for this segment. Thanks for your replies. @kassiopiWe did a short visit to Corfu by ferry in Septmember. Oceania called at Igoumenitsia and we found little to do there. A local gave us the ferry to Corfu suggestion. We enjoyed it!

You could always book a tour. Dung Zoom will pick up from the ship and take you on a full day tour. We did this day tour with him several years ago and it was excellent value.

Do you have another contact for Dung? The FB link is his personal page.

None on the Insignia this past July. Was annoying caring it back to cabin without a top.
No plastic tops from Barista's this September on Nautica. We drank ours there.

We stayed at Hotel Jazz for 3 nights in September. Glad you could get a reservation, snowowl. Keep trying Ellie and Lucy. We enjoyed it: the price, location, rooftop bar and dining. Comfortable beds too. We walked A LOT! Great coffee and pastries nearby and convenience stores too. One of our favorite cities.

Those photos keep drawing me back to that tour. My only hesitation is the price. Please let me know your thoughts when you return. Our cruise isn't until May of next year so have a little of time to narrow one down. Wishing you a fabulous cruise!
My husband and I had a great 4-5 hour drive with Dimitrije the owner of Mont Travelers. We chose the photo or panoramic tour. We loved it. 220 Euros for the 2 of us is fine for us. Beautiful views as described and a stop for prosciutto, cheese and bread, wine and homemade brandy - everything was homemade. One of our favorite excursions. No churches, no villages or ruins. Perfect.

The 2 catalogs were inside a heavily glossed folder with pockets and magnetized closure.

They have several that interests us - photography tour; perast/OLO Rocks your; hidden gems tour or best of Montenegro tour.
We have this tour scheduled on a cruise Sept 18. The website shows beautiful photos, doesn't it? So far I can't urge other cruisers on our Roll Call to join us.🙄 No matter - going to do it anyway. Happy planning.

What happens to passengers (us) staying on voyage for another 11 days? Do we have to be off the ship? This happens in Trieste in mid September.

We are also taking train on Sunday, Sept 4. Good advice from local resident pointed me to this website for train travel: https://www.rail.co.il/en. We will taxi from hotel to station and station to port. The port train station is "HaifaCenter-.Ha Shmona". I found a station near our hotel: Tel Aviv-HaShalom. Here's more advice from local resident on Israel cruise critic
Yes, you can buy at the station just before traveling. Seat reservations are not possible, and tickets can't run out, so there is no benefit to pre-purchusing.
See you soon.

Hello @solentif you're still reading Cruise Critic check out the Roll Call for this cruise. Many are following and posting for private tours. You will find it under Sept 4 Nautica Domes of Discovery.

If that works for you, I'd try to take a train after 10:00 or so. Sunday morning is the busiest time of the week, with students, soldiers, etc traveling up north after the weekend.
Happy to hear that the Embassy Hotel is taking guests again.
@IgKhI found the stations and routes I need for travel on Sun, Sept 4. Can we purchase tickets day of travel? The online purchases require an app - which I could use.
