  1. It all started with the charter flight with Aerolinas Argentina. Was scheduled for 10:40am but was delayed for close to a couple hours...finally boarded and settled in by 12:40ish. Was so excited that I couldn't manage a steady shot from the front of the plane... Plane was actually nice, new and clean. A simple lunch with ham and cheese croissant was provided. As is typical with Argentina bakery, I guess, the croissant was slightly sweetened.
  2. Nice... I was not that lucky with my 11-day cruise on the Traveller at the end of January. Mostly rain and snow and stong wind. Only had 8 landings/zodiac cruises. And 20 feet swells on the Drake...
  3. But I guess this time it is different, because the self-test is based on honor-system?
  4. Looks like they were able to safely transfer the crew member and Traveller is now full steam ahead...hopefully the Drake would be nice to them so that they can maintain the velocity desired.
  5. Was just excited to show that the World Traveller had departed Ushuaia on Nov 21st (at approximately 5pm EST) for its inauguaral Antarctica cruise... The graphics showed that it is heading towards Aitcho Island at 13kn... And note that the World Navigator is docked at Ushuaia at that time as well.
  6. Great to see you here @Jancruz...still cruising on Oceania? Are you on the inaugural World Traveller departing later today?
  7. Thanks for the suggestion...will definitely keep that in mind.
  8. Yes it is…way over my budget though…😉
  9. Yea…I am sure they will do so. We are definitely packing light to ensure compliance.
  10. Thanks kayakcove for the info. I will just use a dry-bag with strap under the jacket then...
  11. From various, albeit limited, information available online, it appears that there is only an infrared sauna available.
  12. Hi Don...we will be on a small expedition ship with landings. I believe the charter flight will most definitely have a weight limit. Don't have the exact number yet but likely 40-50 lbs max. We are definitely packing light and hoping that an additional 2lbs of telephoto lens would not burst the limit.
  13. Hi all, Will be bringing a Sony A7R2. What telephoto would you folks suggest? Thinking about the Tamron 150-500 but the wide end at 150 might be too much when on land as most wildlife would not be at a great distance away? Perhaps the newer 50-400 would be a better choice?
  14. Hi all...does Atlas provide one on-board? Or should we pack our own?
