  1. Good morning from here. Its a slow morning. But it amuses me that they do Zumba right in the middle of the Promenade.
  2. I didn’t get a picture of the food truck, but it was parked right inside this village made of cargo containers. It looked like its normally there. Its right next to the cruise ship terminal. You literally walk into it as you exit the door. However, its on the opposite side of where all the tour buses park.
  3. Disco Inferno Party was tonight. We missed it because of Chef’s Table last leg. This time, we caught it. Dude, Magic Marvin is buff!!! They started with live music. Personally, I think the Promenade is the worse venue for this, but its the best they got. Still, it was fun.
  4. Tonight’s Dinner menu Seafood cake. Not my favorite. Roasted Poblano Soup. This was interesting. Short Ribs were great this time. And our waiter just brought all all the desserts. 😄
  5. I had too much caffeine this morning so passed out when i got back to the ship. I did wake up in time to see tonight’s headliner, Randy Cabral. As a juggler, he wasn’t that special. As an entertainer, he was awesome. It wasn’t what he did, it was how. And that is important. He turned what could have been a lame show, and made it fun.
  6. We wandered around in the morning before our tour as you saw. made it up to Kings Square. Found this at a theater. We’d check it out if we had time. and made it to Queens square. pass the 3 sisters lamp. Today’s adventure is Royal’s Bay of Fundy’e Coastal Photography tour. Stopped at the reverse rapids. This is fascinating. The tides here in the Bay of Fundy rise and fall 28 feet each day. Low tide, the water flows into the Bay but during high tide, the bay of Fundy pushes back up the river. Then we stopped at the Lepreau Falls. Stopped at Dipper Harbor. Whats fascinating here that these ships are 20 feet lower because of low tide. High tide, there is no down. everything would be flat. And then stopped at Irving Nature Park
  7. I mentioned this earlier i think. Yes, you can get Johnny Rockets milkshakes with diamond vouchers. You cannot use them for the Ben and Jerry’s Milkshakes.
  8. These are per day prices. If anything, shorter and holiday cruises tend to be higher, not lower. 9/24 was the 5 night leg, but its the same advertisement now on the 9 night.
  9. Quests completed. Found Tim Hortons. Got Iced Capp 2nd Found good poutine right outside the ship on a food tuck in the container shopping center
  10. We lose an hour tonight and tomorrow’s a port day. *grumble*. I’ve never had to adjust back and forth 3 times already with 4th time in a couple days. Anyways. Here is tomorrow’s cruise compass.
  11. After dinner we wandered around. We caught the Abba name that tune. I know nothing about Abba so everything was Dancing Queen to me. Wife liked it. We saw this on the planner. Thought it was a James Brown tribute. Nope, the musician was named James Brown. Not sure if i am relieved or disappointed.
  12. Tonight’s menu in the MDR This is the Salmon and shrimp fritters. Don’t recommend. Shrimp and Lobster bisque. Do recommend. Chicken Marsala is delicious. I got two desserts. The apple crumble was decent. Could have been a little sweeter. and the Eton Mess. I’m not sure what its supposed to be. It was mostly whipped cream with some fruit flavoring. I called it a glorified puppucino. If you don’t know what that it, its basically the dog treat they give dogs at Starbucks which is just whipped cream in a cup. My dog LOVES it. Also tonight, they did the parade in the MDR. Last leg’s parade was better for some reason.
  13. You’re right. I didn’t answer this. The donut was awesome. My wife thought the gluten free donut was amazing. Its also proof that a good gluten free donut is possible. Which is better than anything else.
  14. Lunch, if you can call it that, was had at Duckfat. To be honest, I wasn’t hungry really. We met up with a friend i had not seen in 28 years. He gave is a mini-tour and we had lunch. Menu All we had was the poutine with duck comfit. We also has regular fries with the flight of sauces. Both were amazing. I also got a milkshake. Not just any milkshake. Seasalt duckfat caramel milkshake. The caramel is made with actual duckfat!
  15. We are just wandering around and we found the Eastern Cemetery. It was established in 1668. The jaw dropping coincidence is that we *may* have found my wife’s great great great great great great grandfather’s grave. the number of greats is significant. But there maybe no way to actually confirm this at this point.
  16. First stop in Portland. These better be good donuts. They are supposedly gluten free for my wife. Check out that line
  17. This must be shared! No Raisins in the yogurt parfait!!! I hate raisins, but they previously pre-added the raisins in the granola. In case you haven’t guessed, I hate raisins.
  18. Finishing off the evening first with the Headliner, Dario “El graucho”. We really didn’t know what he was going to do as he was labeled as a one of a kind act. We were pleasantly surprised he was quite skilled and fun. Dinner was hard. I was still feeling lunch. Menu I only had one escargot order. I was that full 😝 The duck terrine is back to where it was. The last time i had it, i don’t know what happened to it. It was totally different and not very good. Its back! Mojo pork chop. this was decent this time. It can be overcooked sometimes. Bananas Foster. Same thing. It varies in quality. This time it was good.
  19. I forgot to mention Lunch. Lunch was had at Testa’s Bar and Grill. Menu Wife had a Blueberry Martini Local Oysters. I must be spoiled living near the Chesapeake Bay. The oysters here were a bit underwhelming. Burger here was good. Wife’s Shrimp Tacos and the signature blueberry pie. Must be a Maine thing. It pretty good.
