  1. Does the onboard shopping include the P&O branded fudge/biscuits and greetings cards? They charge well above the rrp for these, theyare a rip off.
  2. Thank you. It is now 2 weeks since we disembarked and no FCC. My TA is dealing with it and says thay havae 28 days to deal with our complaint ( about other things related to our confinement). Under UK law the FCC shuld come through within 14 days so it's probably time to follow up.
  3. Oh thank you, we don't have that here in the Uk. Princess don't sell insurance here.
  4. Interesting. Was your claim with your insurance company or Princess?
  5. Thank you. It's definately not on my account yet, or my husband's but it's good to know your husband got his quickly. I was not impressed with the communication on Enchanted so I'm not holding my breath.
  6. Sorry to hear that you coudn't even saty on the cruise! Interesting that Guest Services said you would receive a letter. They didn't tell us anything, not even that we were due an FCC. So I won't hold my breath..
  7. Hi Many apologies if this has been asked before - I did search the forum but couldn't find what I was looking for. I have been told I havae an FCC due for a number of days I spent in quarantine on my recent cruise. Does anyone know how long it takes to appear on my account? Also does it include a partial refund of the Princess Plus Fare as wifi and alchoholic drinks are free when in quarantine? ( not that we felt like drinking) Thanks
  8. Did you have to test to get on the cruise?
  9. Room service was available. There has been a distinct lack of information. We knew we could order from the dining room menus but the people in the next cabin didn't. Then we found out from someone else that we could order from speciality dining foc. They rang us every day to check on us but weren't proactive in telling us anything useful. Atm I am feeling negative about the whole experience.
  10. Leaving Enchanted on Friday after a week in isolation. Both DH and I were positive. I got a medical proof letter about 2 hours ago. DH still waiting. No idea why they couldn't do them at the same time
  11. That's a valid point. We will ask for our record. They charged us $14 for paracetamol but refunded it when we complained. It's just not got enough.
  12. Yes we both moved..My husband tested positive on Saturday and I didn't want to leave him.on his own so I joined him in quarantine . I tested positive on Monday. We get back to Southampton on Friday so not long to now
  13. Hi. I am not sure of the exact numbers of the other cabins but I think d401-7 are in use. No letter has arrived today and we have now been told it could be tonight or tomorrow. 🙄Fortunately my stepdaughter is taking us home and it's not too far to travel.
  14. Thank you for your kind thoughts. We can watch a recording of all the talks on our Tv so we have just watched Jennie Bond. Rock Opera is on there but we can't get it to play. We will be home soon and then we can just put this behind us.
  15. On Enchanted we can open the door but haven't tried to escape..There are other doors that seal off the corridor from communal areas like the lifts. I don't think these are locked.
  16. Hi thank you. Our symptoms are quite mild and we are being looked after. We are on Deck 9 and I think most of the deck is closed for isolation. As far as I can tell there are 4 cabins in use currently on the starboard side. I hope that helps.
  17. Well over here in isolation on Enchanted Princess we have had nothing like your letter and one of our complaints is that it would be useful to have had something similar. I am quite alarmed by your laundry instructions. I sent a mixed bag 2 days ago and didn't know I had to separate them and check if they would stand a high temperature wash. Just something else to worry about. We had a call from the Dr about getting home. She told us that we couldn't get a taxi. We know that this is rubbish because P&O and Cunard send covid positive passengers home by taxi. Fortunately we have a family member who lives close to Southampton who can take us and fortunately we also live near the Port. The Dr also told us we had to isolate for a few days when we got back. This is also rubbish as there is no requirement to self isolate in England. Then we had another call from someone else yesterday who gave us different information and said we'd get a letter today telling us what will happen when we disembark on Friday. You'd think they would have all this sorted by now. Btw we had no instructions about red bags and clear bags. We don't have a laundry bag so I used the clear one for laundry and also for dirty towels.
  18. Do you know if this policy will be reversed and if so when? thanks
  19. I have posted about my experience on the What happens in Quarantine? thread so I won't repeat it here apart from to say DH tested positive yesterday so we are on day 2 in quarantine and we are doing ok so far. We took the view that we didn't want to spread it around the ship but he caught it on board..no idea who from.
  20. I can tell you what happens on Enchanted Princess. My husband has symptoms of a cold so he did an LFT and was shocked to see it was positive. So we called Medical who tested me with an antigen test and I was negative. He tested my husband with a pcr which was positive. This was day 8 of our cruise and the medic said cases start to show around day 7 or 8. We had been careful with handwashing and mask wearing. Anyway we then had to decide if I would go with him into isolation. I would be allowed to roam around the ship wearing a mask but eat and drink in the cabin. I felt I couldn't leave DH on his own so we were told to pack enough for 6 days. As we go home on the 7th day we brought everything. So far DH is ok. We have identified some warning signs - insomnia for 2 nights and frequent urination. These are 2 things he doesn't suffer from and have disappeared now. We can order from room service and it seems we can order from the main dining room and speciality restaurants too. I am not sure if we would be charged for the later. In the cabin there are cleaning items and red bags and clear bags but no one has told us what the bags are for. It would be really helpful if we were given a letter to tell us what things are for and what happens next. I need to see if I can get pen and paper as if I order room service by phone it would be helpful if I could write it down.Room service is taking 30 mins or more. Somethings we can do on the app but if you want brown sauce then there is no option for that. We are still learning but We have both had a good night's sleep. Atm we think there are 2 other couples in isolation on this side of the ship..don't know about the other. One thing we are sure of is that there must be people with symptoms who have not come forward. We realise now we could easily have carried on as before but felt it would be wrong to put others at risk. Btw this is our 5th cruise since the restart and we have always known catching covid on board would be a possibility so I guess it's caught up with DH. By all means ask questions but I don't know if I can answer them. . .
  21. We are on tis cruise too.Just the pesky covid test to do now🤞
  22. I think going to the Canaries is a good choice as you will get to sail across the Bay of Biscay so if the sea is rough you will be able to test your sea legs and there are a few sea days. Some people love sea days, some don't, but it's useful for you to know as a World Cruise has a lot of them. I was not a fan of them myself but now I regard them as chill out days, and it's a good chance to rest if you have had some intensive port days. I agree with the others that Iona has a very different vibe to Aurora or Arcadia. Regarding select vs saver. With a TA you can choose your grade of cabin, so if I'm going for a saver fare I tend to go for a grade where none of the cabins are in noisy areas eg under the pool decks, where you coud be woken early by crew putting the sunbeds out.
