She is a beautiful ship IMO,we found her so light & airy,real quirky artwork. The 270 is a lovely room,yes sitting in the Solarium hot tubs looking out over the bow is lovely,as is going out on the ' wing's & getting a great view down the sides of the ship. We found sitting watching the Flowrider & I-Fly fun but do' t really see the point of the Northstar,looking down on a cruise ship from a great height doesn't t really excited me- we are all different! As for dining,we were on her repo cruise from China to Singapore,after a bad experience in the MDR on the second night of the cruise we ate at the Windjammer,usually outside at the stern where we enjoyed many nights watching electric storms lighting up the Night sky,beautiful,may not be quite so magical in Alaska as it was in the South China Sea though,it was pretty warm there! A friend of ours met Marco at the opening of a restaurant where her daughter worked several years ago,she remembers him as one of the rudest men she has ever met...must have been an off day!😮 James Martin was on Britannia when we sailed back from the Caribbean a few years ago,bumped into him & chatted a number of times & went to his book signing,now he was a nice guy!

Reminds me of the previous crisis when I read reports from regular Cunard clients that the explosion of cheap offers in newspapers had Transatlantic crossings resembling a holiday in Benidorm!😂😂

Just loved the sales they had most days there on our RCI cruise,there was a webcam on it & we could relax in our cabin & watch people fighting over the overpriced tat they kept filling the tables with,the webcam was out of order for the last couple of days,shame,it was the best thing on tv!😂

Yes the Anthem cruise was cancelled too,we did have an itinerary change with P&O once due to a recent hurricane,fully understand that,it was our first,& probably last,trip to the area so it didn't matter too much to us which islands we visited.

We had a cruise with Royal Caribbean cancelled due to Covid,pretty much the same happened there,forums were full of posters who ,unlike ourselves,had booked direct & got their refunds before we did,it didn't really matter to us as long as we got the money! Jet 2 were a bit different,the money paid for a holiday with them that was cancelled due to the pandemic was refunded in three instalments!

The one RCI cruise we completed was Quantums repo cruise from China to Singapore in October 2019,booked 18 months before it changed soon after to reduce the stops in Vietnam & changed again during the cruise for the Hong Kong call which meant we missed the Night Markets & Light show. The Transatlantic cruise on Anthem we booked for early 2020 changed soon after booking,missing out Halifax which was our main reason for booking it. We also booked a 5 night cruise on Quantum out of Singapore which suddenly morphed into a repo cruise to Japan before being cancelled due to Covid. As a result I don't have much faith in them supplying what they advertise,I get the feeling I might book a Med cruise & end up on a tour of the Irish Sea!😁

My limited experience of Royal Carib has seen them alter EVERY cruise that we have booked with them,I certainly see the OP's point,it is irritating & certainly has made me reluctant to book with them again.
