  1. Although I think the title "Be Warned" is not appropriate...(there are many children that LOVE the camp)......I really wish everyone would stop judging this lady.

We are ALL different....all families are different.

If she wanted to spend time with her hubby....I see nothing wrong with that. If one wants to spend 24/7 with their children.....I see nothing wrong with that either. It really irks me when people think they are the judge and jury in other peoples lives. Ok...I'm done. Where is my wine? :o

  2. I took an elderly friend with me on her first cruise. She has a 'delicate' stomach and was worried about finding food she could eat, which she often doesn't discover until the meal is delivered and she tastes the first bite (seasoning is a lot of her issues).

She was over the moon to discover that she could order 1-2 menu items at a time, or replace a dish she didn't care for if it wasn't setting right with her stomach (the dishes NEVER went to waste- our 3rd friend's husband would always eat anything we didn't- I'm sure he must have gained a bunch of weight that cruise!)

Needless to say she was a happy cruiser!

Absolutely adorable...reminds me of when we took my mother in law on her first and only cruise....

She kept saying "where is the check, I am paying this time"

This went on for 7 days, morning, noon and night. God rest her soul....

  3. Could anyone please us know how close to sailing can we book a cruise with Carnival, and how do you do it, which number to call and such? Our PVP informed me he could not do it closer than the day before. We will in the port town for a few weeks and able to take a last minute cruise if it is cheap enough. Thanks

Here is the "Pack and Go" website.

The phone number is in the top, right hand corner

The deals are on the bottom. Just type in the info required.

    GOOD LUCK.....:):):)

  4. Trying to make it through the cold that we are going through the next four days before we leave early Friday morning. I remember not long ago someone had posted pictures of a 4j corner room. We are going on on the Liberty on Saturday and would live to see the pictures so that I can post them on my desktop to give me warm thoughts. I would really appreciate it..This Chicagoen needs a little hope that the weather will clear up and we will make our cruise. We are at about -20 with blowing snow and everyone has been advise to stay in.

There are tons of photos from passengers on:

    cruise line rooms dot com

We had the 4J on the Glory and LOVED it. Being able to walk right out on a gigantic deck for photo ops was great. Hardly anyone out there at any given time....and paying for an inside cabin, but having a window was an added bonus.:)

  5. At the risk of sounding repetitive....BRING a little bit of anything you have in your medicine cabinet.

    Advil/Aspirin

    Tums/Pepto

    Sunscreen/Aloe

    Etc...etc....etc

The reason I am saying this..they charge and ARM AND A LEG for these products in the Fun Shops....AND.....they also quickly run out because people forget to bring them.

Paying $12 for a tiny, tiny bottle of aloe....UGH:eek:

  6. We are life-long RCL cruisers, but we have decided there may be a time when we want to try something new. DH and I are 32 and 25. We only like the newest biggest ships. We enjoy drinking and dancing until 3:00AM or later. Does this happen on NCL ships? We like to party but nothing crazy like college spring break party lol Anything I should know about NCL?

Our first (and only) NCL cruise was just on the Breakaway out of NY. It was great. We had an awesome time and will defiantly go on NCL again. We have been on the Oasis and Allure, so we are the same way. Love the mega ships. :):):)
