  1. I am wondering if they will also remove the specialty teas from the lounger area of the spa? We enjoyed a cup of lemon zinger while relaxing there. Won't ruin my cruise on the Vista and I can pack my own. Since the spa isn't listed maybe they won't.

  2. I have not cruised on the Dream in a while but, I will give you my two cents anyway. :D During our cruise I found the food of the same quality as all the other ships. The staff was very good with the exception of one young lady at the Guest Services desk. The ship itself was very nice and clean. We found the spa cabins to be wonderful. It did feel a bit crowded to us. I would not worry too much. I am sure you will have a great time.

  3. Is there a reason your DH wants to stay in Times Square? We do, but we go to NYC for theater weekends. Many people find it unpleasantly crowded and chaotic.

As long as you stay near a subway station (on google maps, they're little blue Ms), it's easy to get around.

With only 2 people, one option is to bid on a hotel using Priceline. In NYC, the zones are quite small. If you haven't used Priceline, read betterbidding and/or biddingfortravel to learn how.

I am not certain why he wants to stay there. He just says it would be "neat". I think perhaps it is all the New Years Eve's he has watched on t.v. LOL!

  4. We are sailing on the Vista's, 11 Day Journey cruise from N.Y. and ending up in Miami Nov 2016. Neither hubby or myself have ever been to N.Y and to be honest I am a bit intimidated . We would like to fly in a day or two ahead of time for some sight seeing. I believe the Vista sails from the Manhattan pier???? DH would like to stay in Times Square. Is there a decent hotel in the area that is also not too far from the port? We stayed in Boston this year and paid around $300.00 for the night. I expect N.Y. will be this or more. I am also wondering about taking a cab to port? Will this be very expensive from the Time's Square area? I believe we will be flying on Southwest to LaGuardia. Any help would be appreciated.

  5. We have taken 2 RC cruises and LOVED them both. However, disembarkation was a nightmare both times. Sailed on FOS out of Port Canaveral & VOS out of Tampa. Clearly we are doing something wrong. We tried both times to get off fairly early. We have to wait in the (always) long, cab line outside to get to the airport. Our flights are generally around noon. We have ended up both times standing in a line that just goes round and round and round the ship. Surely there must be a better way? If we try to wait until the mob goes will there still be plenty of cabs? I need the guidance of frequent RC cruisers to give me some of their wisdom. We sail on BOS in Oct and am hoping for a less stressful result. Thanks in advance for any helpful replies. :)

  6. After several Carnival cruises we decided to try Royal Caribbean. I plan on trying Norwegian after I have sampled a few more RC ships. I think everyone should try a different line. How do you know you won't enjoy another line more if you never try one? Glad to hear your experience with Norwegian was a good one.
