  1. We though we would be brave & try it.

VERY poor area. We did not get far when a lady asked me if I wanted my hair braided.

Mind now that I am OLD & not a lot of hair. I politely said no.

She started to follow us...screaming at me and others joined in. I felt we barely made it back to the gate....very scary.

Yikes! That would scare me! We have only been once and just went to Margaritaville at the port.

  2. We have sailed on RC & Carnival. Only Carnival with our "kids" who were really more like young adults at the time. They enjoyed the ports more than the Carnival ship. Mom & Dad were paying so we booked the most cost effective cruise we could find! It wasn't a bad cruise and we all had a good time. However we later booked RC FoS. l admit that I kept thinking how much my kids would have loved the rock climbing wall and the flow rider.

  3. This trip we are taking sans kids ... so... uh .... *ahem*

    Not necessarily in that order.

That was too funny! You are very creative LOL!

  4. 3 years ago we went on a cruise. At that time we must have been assigned a PVP. after the cruise any time I would look at sales or price out a sailing she would call (usually within 12 hours) after asking her politely several times to stop calling me I changed my email and phone number on my account.

Fast forward to now, we've put a room on hold while we finalize coordination with the rest in our party. Well, she called me today. Told me who she was, asked how she could help. I told her we were set and didn't need anything. She then tells me that she is taking over my reservation and the reservation of my parents (I put a room on hold for them too) and asked me if I could tell them she took over their reservation too.

Apparently she called both my parents, my husband and then finally me. I'm totally annoyed by her stockerish behavior and am wondering if this is typical of a PVP and how I can remove myself from their lists?

I have never used a PVP however, when we took a break from Carnival and moved over to RC, the calls started. When we failed to book our regular fall cruise via Carnival, I received a phone call from someone who identified herself as the PVP who I worked with last year?????? Nope. I explained to her that I had never used a PVP & that we were trying RC. I thought it would stop there but no, she continued to call & when I did not answer she began emailing me! These were not just the regular Carnival emails either. I never did figure it out. Maybe she was brand new & trying to do a really good job? Maybe she had me mixed up with someone else? Who knows but, it was getting a bit stalkerish LOL! :D

  5. Two years ago we drove to Florida for a cruise out of Port Canaveral. We had prepared for the tolls or thought we had, based upon previous years. We ended up being short.......Guess we should have gotten that dang Sunpass......At the toll booth we told the woman standing outside we had no more change. We tried to give her a bill. She said she could not take it and for us to drive on (many cars blowing horns behind us....). She said that we would get a bill via postal mail. When I got home I forgot all about it & no bill ever came. Maybe it's silly (or not) but, I am having anxiety about getting arrested in Florida over the unpaid toll.

Has anyone else ever had a similar situation? Does anyone have an idea of how to best handle the situation now? Thanks in advance for helpful posts. :)

  6. Thanks for posting. I got off Glory the 16th and was on the last cruise before they changed it. I am Gold and not too pleased with this latest change. With that being said, our party was scheduled for the day we were in Roatan and after spending all day on shore, I needed to take a shower and get ready for dinner so I didn't have time to go. Why in the world would they pick that day?! Maybe to cut down on the amount of people going?

Would have been nice if I could have attended my last one for a while, but I kind of feel like they did it on purpose. Strange that now all of a sudden it's on the last day which is almost always a sea day.

Whatever. I'm over the whole degradation of the Gold Status thing. It won't ruin my life, but it sure does make me feel a like they don't give a rat's behind about their Gold Members. Just my two cents.

    I agree with you.
