  1. Yes! this! we are trying to decide which nights to go to specialty resturants and knowing what they are having night to night at the Luminae would help. Also I would love to see the daily "event"s if possible! TYIA
  2. Hi there thank you so much! I was trying to figure out if being in a suite there are reserved seats. I know on Norwegian Haven guests had a special area so we didn't feel like we had to rush to get seats after dinner
  3. Hi there, we are on the Beyond in March. We are in a Celebrity Suite and the Retreat. My question is around entertainment. I haven't really seen anyone discuss that or give any information on that. This is our first Celebrity cruise and I am hearing mixed reviews. Any insight/info would be appreciated. Also, how about day events with the days at sea? Anything promising? thank you in advance!!
  4. Hi there, I literally have been doing the same thing. Been many years since I have been there. I remembered there are a number of different beaches and entrances usually with accompanying resturants. the ones I have found are Bikini, Wai , kontiki, Sun and then I think Coco is also one (mentioned above). The nude only is I think at the very farthest south Club Orient. I like the one mentioned above that you can book in advance. I also see one that is part of a cruiseline excursion we are on Celebrity that we may do just because we have OBC to use!
  5. hi, I just read your review and appreciate all the great insight on the Beyond. We are going in March. I wanted to ask about the facial recognition in Port Everglades. I have my own apprehensions about this so wanted to ask, did you have your picture taken by customs before you boarded in the port? I know we have the pictures that are attached to our Seapass via Celebrity. Just wondering how they got a picture of you for the facial recognition or if you knew. Thank you in advance!
  6. Hi there thank you so much for all the info! we cruise Beyond on 3/5. Question about the picture during embarking. Did you find out what they used it for? was it for the facial recognition when you went through customs? or was it in some way attached to your card for getting on and off the ship? I know that is how they know that the right person is using the right card getting on and off the ship thank you!
  7. very helpful thank you! Don't want to bring anything fancy/chic if I don't have to. Won't wear ripped jeans but if I can avoid something that requires spanx I am a happy gal!!
  8. well that is great news! it was the same every night when we were on the NCL Haven.. thank you!
  9. LOL yes, sorry Port Everglades...
  10. Hi everyone my husband and I are off on our first Celebrity cruise in March on the Beyond! We are super excited. I am Diamond Plus on RCCL and cruised also NCL, Princess as well as Holland America. We are very excited since this is our first cruise in 3 years and decided to go for the gold (you only live once !) and booked the Retreat for 7 days out of Port Canaveral. I have 2 questions I hope you seasoned vets can helpme with. First: Our TA told us that in Luminae we could order from ANY of the menus on the ship. I was excited about that because on NCL in the Haven it was the same menu and after a few days there weren't any options left. For the $ we spend I can't see going to a specialty restaurant everynight or even a few nights. I am seeing now here that it looks like for 2023 you cannot? Can anyone clarify? My TA is swearing we can. Second: Dress code. I am seeing mixed on that too. Is there one "chic" night on the 7 days? Do I understand that nice jeans/khakis for men with a polo or button down would suffice? Do they have to wear jackets or is that an option? thank you all so much!
  11. Hi there, live in Clearwater and heading out in March from PE. We were thinking that the P N Go would be best with a shuttle taking us directly to the Pier. Can you recommend any good/quick/efficient Park and Gos? TIA!
  12. Hi there do you happen to know if ALL the lines are facial recognition at Ft. Lauderdale? Last time I was there there was at least one that was the regular line. We cruise in March 2023 so was curious. thank you in advance!!
  13. Hi, question, for St Thomas what other beach would you go to? I have been to Sapphire and St John. I honestly feel like I am missing a beach somewhere. LOL. thanks for the help!
  14. Thank you both. This is very helpful. I was actually looking at taxi fares and the excursion fares and the difference is minor so that was the only reason I was consdiering it (also the OBC). Also, my last memories of walking to the taxi stands were of being horribly harrassed to have my hair braided, etc. and over time, that got tiresome. So the thought of going with the ship was it may be easier. I agree about the chair and umbrella. That adds up to 30 bucks for the day. thank you both!
  15. Hi, we just booked our very first Celebrity cruise on the Beyond in March. I have been an avid cruiser on RCCL and NCL for years. I haven't done an excursion for many years, done most on my own. We are getting a very good onboard credit so was thinking it might be worth it to do a few "beach" excursions to save time, hassel, etc of the taxi, etc. Given what I am hearing about the $ for taxis it wouldn't be much more to take an excursion. Question for anyone that has been on a Celebrity excursion vs other cruise lines Have you found that the "area" you are taken to on these beaches better or the same as other cruise lines? for example in Magen's bay, are you in a nicer area of the beach to get dropped off and buy chairs, etc? Have you seen any difference in these excursions? thanks in advance they are having cyber excursion sales so wanted to look into this.
  16. thank you! I have always done it on our own but I see a Celebrity excursion to Trunk that said "chairs available for rental" so now I am thinking that might be what they are speaking of thank you!
  17. Hi everyone, on our way in a few months to St. John. Been many years since I have been there and my memory was for Trunk and/or Cinnamin, there were no chairs to rent. I just looked at an excursion on Celebrity and it mentioned chair/snorkel rental at Trunk. Has this changed? I remember only having towels to sit on Any update would be great TIA.
  18. It has been many years since I have been to St. Martaan and am excited to return via Celebrity Beyond in March. Orient was always my favorite beach. I know when a taxi drops you off there are many "beach" entrances. I know there are many beaches (Kon Tiki, Bikini, etc) but am trying to decide which is the best for what we are looking for. We aren't looking for any water sports but more quiet, relaxing with a good bar/restaurant near by (but if memory serves they are ALL great). I don't mind being near the nude beach at the south end if it is the quieter of the beaches. We really just want to be away from a lot of the crowds if possible. It will be March so not sure how busy with other tourists as well. I was just hoping to be able to give the taxi driver an idea where best to drop us off. My memory is that they all have spots they drop off people, usually if they have a relationship with that beach. there are also 3 ships in port the day we are there so hoping to get a spot where they least drop off. Any help or insight would be appreciated!
