  1. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is an absolute corker of a review! Can't wait for the next instalment!

If any of you ever come to the Isle of Man we have world class ice cream, which in all my travels all over Europe has NEVER been surpassed!

Loved the story about the alarm at David - its these little stories that make your reviews so interesting Sherri. The weirdest thing that happened to me on my vacation was that I got a curse put on me in Venice by a witch doctor fake bag seller because I wouldn't let my mum buy his "prada" bag!

    Keep up the good work

  2. I would quite fancy living on a ship as a "gentleman host" where my only priority would be taking ladies for a spin around the dance floor but as I am a lady myself this can only remain a dream job! Not that I "like" ladies:o ....just dancing!

Seriously folks, I am in awe! And jealous too! I can't get my husband to commit to a Vacation that is longer than ten nights!

  3. Same here too! I am at a loss as to what there is to do there. The one saving grace is that the three days that follow it are very busy, so I think I will be persuading my family to save our energy this day and:-

    1) have a bit of a lie in on the ship

    2) do the French market browsing thing

    3) go SHOPPING!!!! There is a big shopping centre and my daughter is particularly keen on this because she has found a Sephora using google maps. (We dont have one of them here).

I believe Toulon has had a bit of an image overhaul in the past few years and is not as bad as it used to be though. I imagine it being a bit like where Disney's Belle lives!

  4. Experiences that create memories are worth splurging on. Example, one thing I will remember until my dying day is snorkelling in sharm el sheik, another driving up and down the LV strip in a limo, a helicopter ride etc..... I personally don't bother with specialty restaurants as I am not interested in food. I like a drink and a gamble but can justify this expense by keeping out of the spa! I only buy a few silly souvenirs and wouldn't ever buy myself jewellery (thats my husbands job anyway haha).

I would like to try an inside cabin as the prices are always so appealing but am scared in case I didn't like it? I fantasise about splashing out on a big suite too, but what if I then couldn't face going back to a balcony cabin? Sometimes I feel ashamed at the nonsense that keeps me awake at night. Please God my worries are always this trivial!

  5. Hi girls. Never been here before, but thought I would say how much I enjoyed looking at all your beautiful dresses. I am a mother of a 16 year old who is a tall slim beautiful angel. I love her dearly, BUT she is EXTREMELY interested in clothes and costs me an absolute fortune! Imagine having to buy two sets of things for every trip. Even though she is taller and slimmer than me she also "borrows" my things and has the audacity to look better in them too! Hey ho, that's the way things should be I suppose!?! Not only clothes, even hose and hairspray vanish into thin air when she is around!!

  6. Hi VirtualRain Thanks for the time and effort you have put into writing this post. I have to say it is probably one of the best ones I have ever read! I have been in Rome a few times myself, but can remember how overwhelmed I felt on my first visit and am confident this post will help an awful lot of people. Your itineray gives a really good "taste" of the city. Well done! :)

  7. We have just been on Azura and there was plenty of ballroom dancing. Every night there would be dancing in the atrium and on a lot of the nights there would be dance evenings in one of the bigger rooms hosted by the dance instructors - Paul and Carole Anne.

There was a lot of sequence dancing - however, it was a lot of the same. It seemed to be restricted to the more well known dances, ie rumba one, mayfair quickstep, sally ann cha cha so everyone could join in. When there are so many to choose from it is a shame that its always these three.

In the modern section, you could dance lots of foxtrot, a couple of waltzes and maybe one quickstep - which is fair enough because most of the dancers were quite old and i think more than a couple of quicksteps would have been too much effort! Lots of rumba, and the occasional cha-cha and jive.

There was one couple who were well into their eighties i would guess, and they were amazing - he was throwing her around like she was a little doll!

The dance instructors are lovely on Azura. I wish they were my permanent teachers.
