I assume you're talking Mega Millions that's the one that's over a billion right now. Yeah go in and tell them you want a mega millions quick pick. Unless you want to pick your own numbers then you fill out the little form and take it to them. They may ask you about a megaplier option. That's an extra dollar. If you're really just trying to win the jackpot it doesn't matter but if you win one of the smaller prizes it can increase your winnings.
thanks! I did go in...something I hardly ever do...spent $20.00....didn't realize you had to write your own numbers down...so I just let them pick the numbers...not sure if I did that megaplier...but fingers crossed LOL...maybe I'll win a buck or two...I did win a pick up truck many years ago..and won 1100 in bingo on an NCL ship...so the family says I'm lucky...but I never think to play...I used to buy scratch tickets for the grandkids at Christmas...that was fun...and Frank used to like to buy scratch tickets every once in a while...I'll check out the website...

ticks are awful! Hog lady.....Glad your Mom is on antibiotics...and you all are there to help her...especially since it's on her back! Have been lurking some....I'm kinda in the same boat as Sid...I need to stop watching and reading the news...but it's like a bad car wreck...I cannot look away...how many of us read 1984....a million years ago...it's kind of like what we are living today....2+2 equals 5....Yup....
My brother and sil...brought me a bushel of green beans...plus 50 lbs of tomatoes from the Mts of NC..... I have given a lot away...but so far have canned 11 qts of beans...I will start on the tomatoes tomorrow....
I'm thinking of buying a lottery ticket....lol...but don't think I've ever done that before...I guess you just go in the store and say I want to buy lottery tickets?? Haven't actually decided yet.l.....Anyway I'm glad it's Friday...it's been a busy week...plus with this heat...I am praying for fall!!

One night sober, and my shoulder feels much better than yesterday... I made a conscious effort NOT to sleep on it, and hopefully that will put it on the road to recovery... I still don't look forward to slinging rugs at the 'ol salt mine today, but I gotta do what I gotta do...
glad your shoulder feels better....be careful with it today....when I was first diagnosed with a torn rotator cuff....the doc said I need surgery....I said...well no I don't think so...then he said...well if you don't...your whole shoulder will eventually come out of place....so I had the surgery....that's not everyone though...I just have crappy shoulders....I'm at three shoulder surgeries now...so just take it easy with the rugs today!!!

Surprisingly, I have found the frozen Mahi Mahi at Walmart to be pretty decent. Its around $6 for 2-4 pieces. Individually wrapped which is nice. Its in the freezer section with the actual fish, not by the fish sticks. The mahi is consistently sold out, so when I see a bunch I'll stock up. I'll just defrost enough to make fish tacos - onion and garlic powder and sear in a pan with a bit of olive oil and lemon juice. Really good baked too. There are some times when a piece will smell a bit fishy, but doesn't happen too often and its not a huge loss for the price lol.
Thanks...I'll give it a try....going to costco in a week or so...and am going to seriously look at the frozen fish selection...

@Hogladyriderglad you made that decision! And your other half is probably right...although if you tell him today...you might get to leave today!!
Sid....how was the salmon? I am trying to make a conscious decision about eating more fish...I bought frozen cod from Costco and Schwan's...didn't like it...so gave it away...I used to buy the farm raised salmon from Costco....didn't like that either...I do like Orange Roughy...but kind of hard to find...and since I'm landlocked...I really don't trust too many local grocery stores when buying fresh fish...I do semi trust Costco...so any suggestions of what type of Salmon to buy....to give it another try....also don't really like tilapia...and the frozen scallops at Costco now are $40.00 for 2 lbs...so I refuse to buy them!! I do buy some shrimp from Costco...but prefer wild caught and not from Vietnam or Indonesia....will buy if from Chile....Mexico...etc....any ideas please?

It’s very overcast. I was amazed at how many locals brought, and wore, actual parkas on this cruise. All we even brought from Illinois are the crappiest disposable plastic ponchos. The Beach Boys promised me Endless Summer decades ago and I intended to collect on this pledge! What the heck? 😅☀️🌞🌅🌤🌄🌇⛅️🌥😎🥶❄️☁️🧣🧥
May and June gloom....typical in Southern California...growing up as a teen in San Diego...you just knew June was a lousy beach month!! sometimes it will burn off as the day progresses....enjoy the rest of your trip! Even many many years ago I did not want to drive in LA!! Stay safe!!

The mail hold saga continues. I think my issues with mail hold have been documented on these threads over the years. First they never held it. I tried printing out the confirmation page and putting it in my box. They piled mail on top of it. The next time I made it like a pop-up book so it would pop up in their face when they opened the box. That worked the first time but not the second. Then I heard sometimes they don't get those online ones. It's better to fill out the card at the post office. So I started doing both online and in person. I picked the deliver accumulated mail option. I had times where it worked. Times where they only held half of my mail. One time they delivered a bundle of someone else's mail. That's when I decided to start picking it up. Sometimes they have it. Sometimes they delivered it anyway.
In this case I've already checked my box so I know it wasn't delivered. I go to pick up my mail. The lady is back there for awhile. A long while. I was the only person in the place and now a line is forming. A long line. Finally she comes out empty handed. "You didn't get any mail, sir. NEXT!" Wait what? "You didn't get any mail." I didn't get any mail? "No." I've had it held since May 21st. It's June 1st. I didn't get a single piece of mail? "There's nothing back there, sir." In a week and a half I didn't even get a piece of junk mail? A sales paper? A political ad? Nothing? "There's nothing for you." There has to be something. I've never gone that long without mail. I know she didn't deliver it because I checked my box. "I'll go look again." She's gone for awhile again. A long while again. Then she comes back with my mail. "It was in an awkward spot."
I would be insane.....and I just put in a hold for next week....we shall see what happens....we have a new mail guy....and he's for sure not like the old one....he was wonderful....retired now and I hope enjoying himself!!

the Victory was a fun cruise as I remember...and so so green....I think we all had lido deck balcony cabins...and John Heald was the cruise director....we got hugs from him one night upon entering the dining room!! A long time ago...I do love the older Carnival ships...kind of sorry to see the huge huge new ships coming along...

@jbhcw we have two cats, one of whom is a Maine Coon Cat mix who has an attitude and just loves to get into things, especially plants. And given the design of our house and his "attitude," well, you just can't keep him out of the living room, or any room for that matter. Our other cat is blind and very docile, never causes any trouble though lately his "brother" has been encouraging him to sneak outside. Neither one of them is allowed outside but without some help, he can't get out.
Our dog raises the alarm immediately though since she knows the cats are not allowed out! We bring them back inside.
Sid, I've been following your live review too, "liked" your first post, though I'm not yet caught up. Love your writing and reviewing style!
the LR is gated...because....well...the dog likes carpet....but my 10 year old Calico loves to go in there for the peace and quiet....plant pusher just likes to get to the plants!! He is also addicted to "Cat treats"...guess that is why he weighs so much!! I guess the three pets run this house!!!

Senator Fan...those storms are so scary...glad no big damage....When Fran came thru back in the 90's...we lost power for about 5 days...many many trees down!
Meatball.....have also been thinking of you....hope all is well!
My 14 lb...adopted kitty knocked over a plant in the living room...where I have new carpet...and sad to say..I don't own a vacuum anymore and the cleaning ladies not coming until next Friday! Trying to scrounge up a vacuum from somewhere or get her to come earlier to vacuum...I could wring his sweet neck...but he is one of those cats...whose just has to push things....he's no longer allowed in the LR!!

I really don't appreciate anyone who does kneel......but I'm of the opinion...she's an American...get her home! And anyone else who is over there! I'm too much of a news junkie...and apparently you are too Sid....sometimes I think we just need to tune it all out! But you are 100% correct...we are...or used to be the greatest country there is...You think like an old person...lol...like I am!
