  1. He will not be Diamond due to traveling with you unless you are his permanent legal guardians. If his parents are Diamond he will be Diamond too whether they are on the cruise or not.
  2. Correct. Kids vouchers are for non alcoholic drinks. Not just sodas.
  3. Any idea at what age they get full benefits? Is it 18 and then must be 21 for alcoholic drinks?
  4. Why would length of cruise matter? This isn’t like a drink package where people can’t drink as much per day for two weeks straight. If anything, the longer the cruise, the more people will need internet versus on shorter cruises where some may be able to disconnect entirely.
  5. I’m confused. So over 12 get different benefits than younger kids? Did your daughter get the free photo that comes with D+ or the free bag of laundry for example? I’ve never seen these as a benefit for non adults.
  6. I’ve read some say they heard others did it. I have yet to read a comment from someone saying firsthand they did it. So I’m doubtful that this is something that is more than a very rare situation. One certainly shouldn’t plan on it and make beverage package decisions based on getting alcoholic drinks using their kids Diamond drinks.
  7. Last year the first one hit in late June/early July. Last week we had our first potential scare of this season.
  8. I’m aware of that. However, this was an officer on the ship. I assume they know what they are talking about? Maybe not.
  9. Hurricane season starts in June and ends in December. Of course more chance in the middle of those months.
  10. I agree. But I was told by Royal employee who I believe is very knowledgeable on these things. Regardless, glad it worked for you all. Much better than testing and waiting at the pier to board.
  11. I understand the situation. And I am saying I was told that unvaccinated guests can’t use a certificate of recovery to replace testing. I know this is unrelated to a COR replacing a vaccine. Two independent variables.
  12. Typically Royal. We were told you must be vaccinated to use a COR. I wonder if that is wrong or you got a one off exception to this.
  13. Is he vaccinated? I ask because I was told unvaccinated couldn’t use a COR. My kids are not vaccinated and if they get Covid again before our next cruise I’d like to use a COR.
  14. You will be fine. You can go in any pool other than the adult only pools/hot tubs. As a parent with young kids and a pool in my backyard, just remember even bigger kids pee a lot when swimming. They ingest a lot of that water and they have too much fun to want to stop playing. Gotta be extra vigilant to get them to go when they really do need to go. Understand accidents are likely so don’t be upset. It’s gonna happen whether you realize it does or not. Have a blast.
  15. Yeah. Their policy and pool set up pretty much encourages that. Seen the same thing too.
  16. Concierge lounge is not the suite lounge. No D+ allowed if it is a suite lounge. OP asked about suite lounge, not concierge lounge.
  17. You will see it all. More than likely few if any tuxedos nowadays. In total you will see many suits. But even that is probably a smaller percentage (say 10-20%). Many will be in some form of….well I don’t know what…..but it isn’t old school formal. It’s more like, they call this dress up night so I’ll Frankenstein what I have to try to look a little fancier. Dress how you please. You can’t control watch others do, so don’t worry about them. Enjoy.
  18. Takes a few days to catch enough of them.
  19. What if you don’t finish it and they store it until the next meal. I’m guessing that is much more likely to trigger a fee? Of course the OP can also just open in their cabin and bring their pre poured wine to dinner if they only want one glass each.
  20. Never done that myself, but my understanding is yes. I think it needs to be notarized, but others know this process on here so maybe create another thread.
  21. Since you have no answers yet, maybe browse some pictures? I’ve seen some pics in reviews and don’t recall seeing any. Generally speaking they are often prohibited in public pools and particularly busy pools. Too many people and it makes it very hard on the life guards to see and know if any one is in trouble under water. The safety issue is a big one so my guess is you will find the answer to be no, but I’m very curious to see if anyone knows.
  22. No doubt coughing is a symptom. Just saying coughing is a symptom of a ton of things. Also, it doesn’t take coughing to spread it. Just anyones breath. So in a theater, the person directly next to you breathing normally can just as easily pass it on (if you sit next to them all show) with a normal exhale if they are Covid positive. It’s a crap shoot either way IMO. Regardless. You have it now, so maybe consider cruising soon after you recover if you can. Why wait until November when your immunity will be at its peak in a few weeks. You could cruise later this summer knowing it would be highly unlikely you get Covid no matter your exposure.
