I would hope that if they are going to have 2 ships in LA they would put one of them on a regular 7-night schedule. As mentioned, Ensenada does not have much to offer. They need 7 nights to get in Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta.

As I recall some of the debt they took on with the shutdown requires them to suspend dividends until it is paid off. Taking on new long-term debt for new construction will help get them back to what was once normal.

So how long before sailing do you find out if you've been successful?
Do you get informed either way or is it a case of no email not successful?
It is possible to get it upon boarding. Rare, but it happens.

We had Mark ?? as a sub for Joff Eaton Jan/Feb 2022 on Anthem. Joff was out with Covid.
Anyone know if Mark was Mark Rous? We liked him a lot.
I believe that is Mark Rous for Allure. They way Mike is doing one week before Mark, it looks like something happened to Steve Knisley.

Thank you for all the information that you gave us. We are booked on the July 5, 2024 sailing after they cancelled the July 29 2024 sailing.

Our first cruise was our honeymoon on the old Island Princess in 1978.
10-night cruise in an inside cabin.
$1000 pp
$25 air add on from SEA to LAX
port taxes about $30.
In 1978 $ it was expensive.

Back in 1984 I was concerned about a new ship being too big, it had 1200 passengers...
We sail on all sizes these days. I biggest complaint about the Oasis class is the Windjammer. Poor design with that does not have good traffic flow.

We were on in December and the show was a little over 3 hours including an intermission.
I do not recall it being that long.

The new block does look better than the original pictures I saw of it. I will hold off final judgement until I see one in person.

Sounds a bit like Atlantis does not want the competition.

I was advised in Dec by the LA to take the block on the ship or it might be months before they would ship it.
On our Serenade trip in November the choices were to take it or decline it, no option to have it shipped.

Just booked the February 18th sailing. Do they ever have chicken wings at the buffet? Its my sons favorite thing to eat. Thanks
It never hurts to ask. On trips where we were eating dinner in the WJ on a regular basis we were able to order special items with a days' notice.

Since the restart of cruising there have been a lot of items that have varied because of supply issues. I am sure they will go back to having more consistency before too long. I just hope they end up will decent product lines.

The current policy seems to be suites only unless requested. We have had no problem getting them since we always ask. It is nice that they added the PDF version, but I still prefer paper. On our last couple trips, we were having an issue with connecting to the app in some parts of the ship. I am sure the paper version will be around a while.

I do not have a pic of it, but it is pretty good, and they are very open to requests.
I do recall some items.
Hamburger, cheeseburger, grilled cheese, chicken fingers, french fries, chicken noodle soup.

Any idea how this works in Europe? Rome?
Should be the same.

Yes, you can get wine in the dining room with your daily drink vouchers.
I believe the BOGO amenity is not combinable with a discount for booking online.

Just got mine for Jewel from a cruise about 3.5 months ago.
It's our first. It's shockingly heavy for it's size.
Yes, they are heavy. I once had an extended trip where I ended up carrying 3 home in my carry-on bag. TSA decided they wanted to open and check each one of them.

Yes as to 12/31, but actually can be until 1 year from the sail date of the cancelled cruise, whichever is later. Used fcc on a 8/28 cruise from a 1/9 cancelled Jewel cruise. 2 phone calls later extra points added. And the problem was solved because I had the fcc numbers they could trace. Still have 1 fcc from that cancelled cruise using 1/6. Figure we'll have to call about that one also.
Good luck with that one. I have been told that it ends 12/31/2022. My sailings that were cancelled for April 2022 and shifted to 2023 will no longer get double points.
