Never knew you could do that. Thanks for teaching this OLD dog a new trick!!
It took me a while to figure it out. Often not all the information is there for upcoming cruises. It is pretty could once the cruise begins. I have had the opportunity to speak to some of the people working on what else can be added to the app. They are open to suggestions, and I gave them some.

Open the app.
press the middle icon at the top.
At the bottom of the page select "change ship/date"
scroll to the bottom and select "get more details on ships we support"
Select Ovation of the Ses
select the current cruise "July 8 - July 15th, 2022"
That will get the current sailing. You can select next weeks but it may not be fully populated with info yet.

My brother is on the Carnival Miracle in Skagway this morning, they are tied up to the dock but using the tenders to take everyone off the ship and to the parking lot, since no one is allowed to walk it as a result of the rock slide. He says its going very quickly but that everyone who was booked on the 8am train was moved to the noon one since tendering didn't start until 8am. We are on an Ovation stop in Skagway in a few weeks so hoping they are able to work something out.
We just got off the Ovation yesterday. We also had to tender. It went well going ashore but I heard there was a backup in the line coming back to the ship, particularly when the train came back. I had the opportunity to speak to the Mayor of Skagway at the Royal Block Party. They are still working on analysis of the hillside and do not know how long it will take to determine that the dock is safe to walk on. I assume that at the least they will add some concrete blocks to the dock like they did for the slide a few years back.

On Monday the President's cruise is scheduled to be there with a Block Party in Skagway. From those photos it looks like they could clean up the debris fairly quickly. The question would be how much the dock is damaged. Can they safely open it for foot traffic? It would be a pain, but they could tender the passenger around the damage to the small boat harbor. We will know Monday

Another slide has damaged the dock in Skagway this morning.

I feel like it’s been forever. Hopefully soon.
im getting on Ovation today for a few months before going back to Wonder to finish out 2022.
Looking forward to seeing you on Ovation. We will be on the President's cruise as well as a couple weeks in August. We have not cruised with you for quite a while, Serenade in 2009 and Liberty in 2010. I do remember you being one of the better CD's.

Anyone know who the concierges are on the Ovation?
-
They price can vary during the season. I noticed that September is about $100 less than August.
-
Yes, it is. I have it booked on Quantum is September. I also saw it for Ovation in August.

well they had the blocks on Quantum as Twangster has his now.
For me trying to plan which ship is getting hard. Lucky me I got triple points for Jr Suite that got doubled as I was solo for a total of 42 points for a 7 day cruise. Now I jumped up 3 vacations and will get one on very next trip on Allure which is cool since I sailed her in the first year back in 2011. I aiming for Oasis in the fall but will like getting Allure.
Anyone else try to plan trips so they can get a crystal for a specific trip that ends up not working out when points added to C/A are more or less than what was expected.
I had a number of planned blocks messed up with cancelations. Even after redoing them there were more changes. Because of double points I am getting more blocks, but they are the wrong ones. I am also waiting for an Odyssey block and a stratum, if they ever get shipped.

Gosh. I would love to see Dan Whitney again. I have a glorious photo of him in a pink leotard, balloon chest and tutu from Song of America. I will definitely bring a copy if we are on a ship with him as the CD.
Sounds like an episode of "If I was upon the Sea". It has been a while since they did that.

As Quantum's arrival in Seattle gets closer, has anyone been able to confirm the Noodle Shop's fate?
If it's not left in place, i'm hoping it's Splashaway Cafe instead of Fish and Ships....Since the ship will be coming to Seattle without passengers, we will probably not get any information until the first sailing from Seattle. She is currently on her way to South Korea.

yes she sadly has been doing this every so often until the new season starts in May.]
Would be nice to know if she gets to go to Victoria or not.So far it looks like Victoria will be in unless Canada closes again.

Remember that year when there was the lime shortage? One cruise we were on they had no lines from day 1. They were putting lemons in corona beer on the ship. Lol.
The crew was calling them yellow limes.

It looks like my Royal up for Jewel 3/6 is happening. I have not received an email, but my credit card has been charged and by Royal app shows my assigned GS, I was in a JS.

That fixed it - thanks! (Though the app should refresh with any changes by itself, without requiring the user to log off and back on - but this is just my IT QA brain expecting this! )
Even when on the ship you often need to hit the refresh button for it to update.

Ok, I just bid on our May 8 cruise. 1 bid for the Ocean View Suite, 1 bid for a spacious balcony. When is the earliest anyone has got an accepted bid?
Also, I'm assuming the Ocean View Suite comes with all the Suite perks including double sea day credit?
Thanks,
Paul
When you change to a suite with Royalup you do not get double points.

I was never aware of RoyalUP until several weeks ago, as we've always booked the cabin we want. Now I'm curious whether this is something that has been around, and will continue, or if it has been a temporary gimmick. Should I expect it might be available for our June cruise?
I am pretty sure it will stay in place going forward.

Our Royal Up bid for a Junior Suite on Jewel for 3/12 was accepted today. First time we have had a chance to bid on a RU since we normally book through a travel agent who does not participate in the RU program. GS would have been great, but we are happy with the JS. I wonder if that extra $5 a person I added on made a difference?
I am in a JS on that one and bid on a GS, still pending

is this the spacious or regular 2 bedroom. 1400 max bid leads me to believe it's the normal 2br not the spacious. for perspective on oasis the spacious is listed at 7K per person while the CLS which is what i am in now, is at 3100 (i paid much less thru my TA though). 1400 seems like a bargain though for star class regardless.
That is a deal for that suite. I have a bid in on one for next week, but I am not too optimistic.

I have been seeing some very low prices for some of the March sailings. It looks like they are trying to put as many as they can on these sailings.
-
That balcony looks like it is one of the deck 7 balconies that are a little deeper.
From the pictures it looks like the Windjammer has gone back to self service.

That is actually one of the things I mentioned to the powers that be. They said they would look into it.
