  1. In my previous reply I mentioned Cunard calls Grills accommodations "Suites" and Britannia accommodations "Staterooms" in their brochures and most of their online materials. Then during the booking process, they simply refer to them as "Rooms". Now, I'll add that on the receipts you sign for onboard purchases, there is a line or box to record your "Cabin" number.
  2. I'm happy to mention various port authority websites that list their 2026 schedules. The cruise ship schedules on those websites are meant to be accessible to the public. I've had the help of other members of this forum who have mentioned some of these sites, especially @sogne and @LittleFish1976. Port Authority of New South Wales ("portauthoritynsw.com.au") for Sydney, Australia Victorian Ports Corporation ("vicports.vic.gov.au") for Melbourne, Australia Darwin Port ("darwinport.com.au") for Darwin, Australia Fremantle Ports ("fremantleports.com.au") for Fremantle, Australia APRAM - Portos Da Madeira ("portosdamadeira.com") for Funchal, Madeira Gibraltar Port Authority ("gibraltarport.com") for Gibraltar Sites such as these help us get a head start on discerning Cunard's future intentions even if they might only indicate port reservations rather than confirmed itineraries. An example illustrating that point was a statement I made on another thread indicating it looked like QE was going to be doing a 2025/26 Australia season after finding entries for QE on the Sydney cruise ship schedule from late 2025 into early 2026. But as we now know, Cunard recently announced QE won't be returning for a 2025/26 Australia season. Those dates for QE from late 2025 onwards have since been removed from Sydney's cruise ship schedule. Sorry, I can't share specific travel agent names on this forum. But even if I could, it wouldn't be appropriate to mention sites that have probably made mistakes by posting itineraries before Cunard's official announcement dates.
  3. I count 19 transatlantic crossings scheduled for QM2 during 2026. That includes the 14-night westbound crossing via Iceland in August and the January 3rd eastbound crossing I didn't include on this thread because that has already been announced. That's a reduction from next year's count of 20 scheduled crossings and the 24 crossings scheduled for 2025. But that's an increase from this year where 18 crossings were scheduled (there will be only 16 crossings this year because of the two crossings that were canceled in April). When we factor in the 38-day gap in QM2's 2026 schedule during May/June for what is presumably going to be a drydock, that count of 19 crossings for 2026 compares reasonably well with previous years. Right on cue, I'll post my updated list of QM2 crossing counts per year on this thread pending confirmation of the 2026 schedule from Cunard. QM2 Crossings Per Year 2004 = 15 2005 = 26 2006 = 20 2007 = 23 2008 = 24 2009 = 23 2010 = 21 2011 = 21 2012 = 20 2013 = 18 2014 = 18 2015 = 22 2016 = 21 2017 = 24 2018 = 24 2019 = 24 2020 = 1 2021 = 1 2022 = 25 2023 = 16 2024 = 20 2025 = 24 2026 = 19 Total QM2 crossings through 2026 = 450.
  4. I'll just make the observation that this image is relatively recent.
  5. I found this in a Vessel Requirements document on the Canal de Panamá website (pancanal.com). I believe we've discussed these (or similar) details in the past when the subject has come up about whether QM2 is able to transit the Panama Canal. "Maximum Height The allowable height for any vessel transiting the Canal or entering the Port of Balboa at any state of the tide is 57.91 meters (190 feet) measured from the waterline to its highest point. With prior permission from the Transit Operations Division Executive Manager, height may be permitted to 62.5 meters (205 feet) on a case-by-case basis, with passage at low water (MLWS) at Balboa."
  6. I'll add my two cents about this weighty topic 🙂. In my view, "Suite" should only be used to describe the Grill accommodations. As a general term for any of the onboard accommodations, "Stateroom" is a somewhat more sophisticated sounding alternative to "Cabin" but you'll see both of those two terms used interchangeably. I know I use both in my postings although I think I've tended to use "Cabin" more lately simply because it's shorter. Cunard uses "Stateroom" on the booking confirmations I've received for Britannia grade accommodations. Cunard pretty much sticks to using "Suite" for Grill accommodations and "Stateroom" for Britannia accommodations in their brochures and throughout most of their website. When they are not referring to any specific kind of accommodation, they use "Stateroom". But I also note Cunard uses another more generic alternative "Room" during the online booking process on their website.
  7. I'll repost the QM2 2026 itineraries since I am now able to see the embarkation ports and dates for the various segments rather than having to guess at them. Those are the dates I've indicated in red. This version also includes the alternative dates for the start of the world voyage through Los Angeles I mentioned earlier. The website where I've found the 2026 itineraries lists two different sets of dates for the port calls at the beginning of the world voyage. This is the version (with two days in New York and one in Los Angeles) listed within the itinerary for the full world voyage from Southampton. The other set of dates (with one day in New York and two days in Los Angeles) is listed within the itinerary for the full world voyage from New York. I guess time will tell which (if either) is correct. 8. It is somewhat unusual to find these 2026 itineraries so far in advance of a March "on sale" date which is a typical for the world and exotic voyages. In the past, I've usually found them one or two months before they are released for sale. Naturally they want to give their travel agents some time to prepare their systems to accept bookings for the new itineraries, but three months ahead of the release date does seem excessive. I'm not sure what their thinking is. It is extremely odd that I've found the 2026 itineraries into December for QM2 and QA and into October for QV this early. It's unprecedented for this to happen during the time I've been monitoring the Cunard itineraries and their official announcement/release dates. This would seem to imply they might be announcing the more complete 2026 itineraries in March, not just the world/exotic schedules through Spring 2026 which has been the standard practice in the past. Assuming what I've found is real (which is still an assumption at this point), it certainly makes no sense for Cunard to release their full 2026 itineraries to travel agents for them to hold onto until the typical September timeframe for the announcement/release of their Summer/Autumn itineraries. I guess we shall see what happens in March.
  9. Yeah, I thought that call to Haifa on the QA 2026 world voyage itinerary was interesting as well. Cunard seem to be banking on (or at least hoping for) the situation in Israel stabilizing by 2026.
  10. I noticed that too after I had posted the 2026 itineraries for QA which end on 20th December 2026 and mentioned it in reply #13 above. It looks like QA will be sailing to Madeira during her 2026 Christmas cruise.
  11. If you are the lead passenger on the booking, there should be a dropdown list at the top of the "Before you sail" section that allows you to switch between passengers. If you are not the lead passenger on the booking, then you can only complete your own details and the workaround is what you have done to log in separately as your husband to complete his details.
  12. Much to my surprise, the My Account login did indeed recognize my email address and password from when I first set it up several years ago now. It does display my full name within the Welcome message, but this error message is displayed between the Welcome message and the links for "My Details" and "My Preferences". Execution of ServiceCallout SC-GetTravelPreferences failed. Reason: output is shutdown for app@-1868640 When I attempt to go to "My Details, all I get is this error message. Nothing that shows any of my existing account details. Execution of ServiceCallout SC-GetTravelPreferences failed. Reason: ResponseCode 404 is treated as error When I go to "My Preferences", I get the same error message above the check boxes to set my preferences. So, not quite ready for prime time in my case I'm afraid.
  13. QM2 did use Cape Liberty in Bayonne on one occasion. That was September 30, 2006 when there was a conflict with Crown Princess at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal. As far as I know, that's the only time QM2 has used Cape Liberty.
  14. I received an email from Cunard today with the subject "Coming soon ...". It announced "Alaska 2025 On Sale December 12, 2023". So we won't have long to wait for the official announcement of the QE 2025 Alaska itineraries.
  15. I just found a slightly different version for the beginning of the QM2 2026 World Voyage. This one has two days in New York and only one in Los Angeles. As a result of the extra day in New York, the calls to Willemstad and Manzanillo are a day later. The Panama Canal Transit is two days later. Everything else is the same. So take your pick as to which (or neither) version to believe I suppose. Queen Mary 2 2026 World Voyage 11-Jan-26 Southampton 18-Jan-26 New York 19-Jan-26 New York 24-Jan-26 Willemstad 27-Jan-26 Panama Canal Transit 31-Jan-26 Manzanillo 3-Feb-26 Los Angeles ...
  16. I've found the QV itineraries for late 2025 to fill the gap from October 13, 2025 to January 4, 2026. Once again, the dates for Funchal match what's listed on the Madeira Port Authority website, so that helps with the confidence level for these itineraries. Queen Victoria Autumn 2025 Itineraries 13-Oct-25 Barcelona 15-Oct-25 Palma de Mallorca 17-Oct-25 Cartagena 19-Oct-25 Cadiz 21-Oct-25 Vigo 22-Oct-25 La Coruna 24-Oct-25 Southampton 28-Oct-25 Praia da Vitoria 29-Oct-25 Ponta Delgada 31-Oct-25 Funchal 1-Nov-25 Funchal 3-Nov-25 Leixoes 4-Nov-25 Vigo 6-Nov-25 Southampton 7-Nov-25 Amsterdam 8-Nov-25 Amsterdam 10-Nov-25 Southampton 14-Nov-25 Lanzarote 15-Nov-25 La Palma 16-Nov-25 Tenerife 17-Nov-25 Gran Canaria 19-Nov-25 Cadiz 22-Nov-25 Southampton 25-Nov-25 Alesund 27-Nov-25 Tromso 28-Nov-25 Tromso 29-Nov-25 Narvik 30-Nov-25 Narvik 2-Dec-25 Haugesund 4-Dec-25 Southampton 7-Dec-25 Cadiz 8-Dec-25 Malaga 10-Dec-25 Barcelona 11-Dec-25 Alicante 13-Dec-25 Lisbon 16-Dec-25 Southampton 19-Dec-25 Lisbon 21-Dec-25 Funchal 22-Dec-25 Tenerife 23-Dec-25 Gran Canaria 24-Dec-25 Lanzarote 28-Dec-25 Southampton 30-Dec-25 Zeebrugge 31-Dec-25 Amsterdam 1-Jan-26 Amsterdam 3-Jan-26 Cherbourg 4-Jan-26 Southampton
  17. Here's an additional tidbit for the QA 2026 itineraries. I only found itineraries through December 20, 2026 for QA. But the Madeira Port Authority website shows QA in Funchal on December 24, 2026. Looks like QA might be doing a Madeira/Canary Islands cruise over Christmas 2026.
  18. I don't think the QM2 and QA itineraries are reversed since the dates listed for QM2 in Australia match their various port authorities' cruise ship schedules and the dates listed for QA match the dates from both Australia and Madeira port authorities. Here's what I had posted last month on the "world cruises 2026" thread as the dates we had deduced for the 2026 world voyages from those various port authorities. It's because these dates line up that I figured those 2026 itineraries I found just might be real. Time will tell of course. Queen Mary 2 11 Jan 2026 - Southampton 4-5 Mar 2026 - Sydney 7 Mar 2026 - Brisbane 14 Mar 2026 - Darwin Queen Anne 11 Jan 2026 - Southampton 8 Mar 2026 - Darwin 14 Mar 2026 - Brisbane 16-17 Mar 2026 - Sydney 19-20 Mar 2026 - Melbourne 26 Mar 2026 - Fremantle 26 Apr 2026 - Funchal
  19. Sorry, as you can see from what I've posted, there's apparently not going to be a QV world voyage in 2026. We already had a pretty good idea that was going to be the case since the Madeira Port Authority was showing multiple calls for QV at Funchal during the Spring of 2026.
  20. That's at least two surprises then on the QM2 2026 itineraries combined with my surprise at seeing the Panama Canal Transit. I guess we'll have to wait and see if those QM2 itineraries are real. As I mentioned earlier, there's some measure of confidence in that the dates for QM2 in Sydney, Brisbane and Darwin match the dates found in the cruise schedules on their port authorities' websites.
  21. Sorry, I didn't remember to look for late 2025 itineraries for QV until the itineraries were hidden or removed from the travel agent website. I'll post what I have for the 2026 QV itineraries. There's still a gap from October 13, 2025 to January 4, 2026 to account for in the QV itineraries. I'll update this thread if I manage to find the itineraries to fill that gap. These itineraries align with the dates QV is scheduled to be in Funchal according to the Madeira Port Authority's cruise schedule. That helps boost confidence that these itineraries are real. We know QM2 can fit through the new Panama Canal locks but it's a tight fit for QM2 to get under the Bridge of the Americas. Note there is a gap in the QM2 schedule from May 16 to June 23, 2026. I'm assuming that 38-day gap is when QM2 will be going into drydock for her extended mid-life refit we've been discussing elsewhere. The subsequent 2-night "Jurassic Coast Scenic Cruising" voyage on June 24, 2026 reinforces the notion that gap is for a drydock. It's also interesting to note these itineraries show QM2 is scheduled to be in New York on July 4, 2026 instead of Boston. It appears the extended refit schedule is the reason for that.
  24. I found 2026 Cunard itineraries listed on a travel agent website earlier today. I wasn't all that surprised to find itineraries listed through Spring 2026 including the 2026 world voyages, but I was very surprised to find itineraries into December 2026 for QM2 and QA and into October for QV. This is very early for Cunard to come out with their Summer/Autumn itineraries. We usually have to wait until September for those. I'm reasonably confident what I've found is accurate. The 2026 dates for QM2 and QA we previously discovered for various ports in Australia and for Funchal line up with these itineraries. I'll list what I found for 2026 itineraries one ship per post. I'll highlight the embarkation ports in red. I didn't get all of the embarkation dates noted for QM2 before the itineraries disappeared from the website so I've made a few assumptions about those on the QM2 itineraries. I've already listed what I found for QE for September 2025 into April 2026 on another thread so I won't be listing those QE itineraries again here.
  25. I discovered the 2026 itineraries for the Cunard fleet listed on that same travel agent site a couple hours ago and have been working on recording those. By the time I saw this post and remembered the QV schedules haven't been announced for late 2025 yet, those itineraries had been hidden or removed. They probably had the late 2025 itineraries posted for QV but I can't find them now. I'll post what I've found for the 2026 itineraries for QM2, QA and QV on a new thread. If the late 2025 itineraries for QV should appear, I'll update that other thread.
