  1. Just booked a Med cruise on her leaving on 8/31/24. Pretty exciting!
  2. To set this up on the Medallion app, you’ll need to have everyone’s booking number. Once you have those, you will go to the tab entitled “Travel Companions” and you can add everyone there. Once added, you would go to the “Dine My Way” tab and select the time and dining room, and check all the dinners. IDK if you will be able to even select all 12. I agree with having two tables of 6 and then meeting with the dinning room staff on the first day to arrange tables next to each other.
  3. We’re 216 days out and not platinum or elite. I was able to make reservations this morning.
  4. Odd. Couldn’t book earlier today, but now it available! Looking at the Majestic in June 2023. Will finalize tomorrow. Thanks!
  5. Sorry, I’m sure this has been asked and answered multiple times … How long before sailing can I book my dinner reservations? Traveling with 3 other couples (I have them linked in the Medallion as travel companions) and would like to get a table for 8 each night in the MDR. After making this reservation, what happens when a couple wants to book specialty for one night? Would that cancel the rest of us?
  6. If cancelled prior to final payment, no penalty?
  7. If you book a cabin for three and then cancel the third person, is there a penalty?
  8. The Holiday Inn Port of Miami is within 2 blocks of a CVS - 12-packs, wine, snacks.
  9. I was on Carnival Sunrise, the first ship back at GT on Tuesday. It was wonderful! Islanders were glad to have us back. Made the walk down to Jack’s Shack. They have a new deck and are open for business.
  10. Thanks for this post! I'm sailing on the Sunrise this Saturday and plan on bring 2 four-paks of these small bottles of wine. Much easier to deal with, that's for sure!
  11. This will be my third time in GT and it’s one of my favorite places to be. I’ve sat at the pool at Margaritaville (those drinks and nachos!), on the beach there and walked down to Jack’s Shack. Heading back to Jack’s this time … will probably stop at M’ville for a drink before getting back on board!
  12. I really hope this date holds true - that’s my cruise and I’ve been looking forward to GT. 🤞
  13. I usually stay at Holiday Inn Port of Miami. Decent view of ships in port (in the distance). Across the street from a nice mall with good restaurants. No shuttle, but a 10-minute ride to the port.
  14. I’ve always stayed at the Holiday Inn Port if Miami across the street from Bayside. I can see the port, but wouldn’t mind a closer view.
  15. Which pre-cruise hotel has the best view of the Miami cruise port? I love to see the ships go in and out; especially love waking up on cruise day, opening my curtains and seeing my ship! Special bonus would be airport/port transfers and free breakfast, but can’t wish for too much. 😜
  16. Thanks for your review! I’ll be in the Horizon in February 2024, so I took some notes!
  17. Ugh, not what I want to hear. I’m on the Sunrise in two weeks.
  18. Personally, I just searched Curaçao on Carnival’s website last week, which resulted in me booking a cruise to said destination on the Horizon in Feb 2024.
  19. Wow! What an adventure! You win the planning crown. 👑
  20. Eddie, spoke with Princess yesterday and while the rep couldn't provide arrival and departure times for Denali and McKinley, she did say that expected arrival time in Achorage for our stay at Hotel Captain Cook is estimated between 5:45 - 6:15pm. IDK what transfer times from the hotel to the airport will be for the next day; this may depend on flight times. Re: transfer - "Please note: If you have purchased air on your own, we must be advised of your air schedule at least 14 days prior to departure. Please complete this information via the Cruise Personalizer on Pricess.com or have your travel consultant call Princess at 1-800-774-6237. If we do not receive the flight information, you will not receive the transfer and will be ineligible for reimbursement for this service."
  21. Thank you for this detailed response. There’s definitely a lot of planning involved in getting us all from Point A to Point B. I’m a girl with a spreadsheet who likes details; hard to travel with a loose plan. 😜
  22. We're scheduled on our first-ever cruisetour next June. I find the itinerary a little confusing when it comes to the land portion of our tour. No times are given for departures and arrivals to the hotels. For example, it states that we will depart the ship in Whittier and travel by motorcoach to Denali (we'll be informed on this ship what time this will happen). Arrive in Denali and have the "evening at leisure". Next morning in Denali is "morning at leisure" before we depart by motorcoach to McKinley, where we will have "evening at leisure" followed by "morning at leisure" before departing for Anchorage. It would be helpful to know times. IDK why Princess doesn't put times on these stops like they do for the port stops on the cruise. Can anyone provide some first-hand insight as to what the times might be? Thanks!
  23. Thank you! I’m certainly going to try to repeat this itinerary with my husband!
