No. I just walked off the ship. I used Smith Transport. Unfortunately, they have closed down. -
Southampton - what time for car pick-up?
cruisingxpert replied to avalong's topic in Oceania Cruises
In 2018, I had the driver waiting at the exit as I got off at 7:30am- I did self disembarkation because I had a Noon flt out of Heathrow. -
I bet you will see a bunch of these on future trips. I printed your template and I think we are on the same cruise next Nov from Rome.😀

Dartmouth Steam Railway and River Boat
cruisingxpert replied to cruisingxpert's topic in British Isles/Western Europe
I have been watching too much Escape to the Country and thought they were in Devon when they talked about having Cromer Crab. Thanks for the education. Dungeness Crab are found off the west coast of British Columbia. -
POLO has French Onion Soup.

One more thing. I have read about Cromer Crab and it looks very much like our Dungeness Crab. Any place in Dartmouth that we could find some on our Round Robin trip -

Thank you all. Wonderful information and great humour as well. -
We anchor in Torbay on a Saturday Sep 2nd at 7am and leave at 5pm. I am trying to figure out how to book the Round Robin Tour and I am not sure what my starting point should be Cruise from Dartmouth to Totnes , bus to Paignton, train to Kingswear and ferry back to Dartmouth or the reverse. Anyone able to point me in the right direction?

I'm on the May 20th Vista. I booked Privee by calling my travel agent to contact them for a date. Previously I have been able to book Privee online.

I'm not sure how Lyn knows you are on Vista but if you are, it's unclear whether the usual La Reserve dinners other than the Dom Perignon one, will be offered. They look like they will have some food and wine pairings(one is a lunch} https://www.oceaniacruises.com/ships/vista/culinary-experiences EXQUISITE PAIRING MENUS THE MACALLAN EXPERIENCES LEARN MORE Inspired Partnerships for Exquisite Pairing Menus Moët & Chandon Champagne Experience This delectable three-course pairing extravaganza features rare vintages for a memorable pairing experience. The exquisite journey begins with a Mediterranean sea bass tartare paired with the mature 2013 Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage Brut, then savor a duck foie gras terrine accompanied by the silky Moët & Chandon Nectar Imperial Champagne and finish with a cured beef tenderloin coupled with the elegant and refined Moët & Chandon Imperial Rose Champagne. Connoisseur Wine Pairing Lunches For this unique lunch pairing experience, choose from two carefully crafted epicurean journeys. Menus include five different Mediterranean-influenced dishes paired with a premium range of wines. The head sommelier, along with bar, restaurant and galley teams, will explain each course’s pairing concept and their flavor profiles. Dom Pérignon Experience This signature Oceania Cruises experience will be showcased on Vista as part of the intimate dining venue Privée. The six-course tasting menu is a must-have meal for every connoisseur of Champagnes and all true gourmands. Each of the three Champagne vintages is effortlessly paired with two courses which are specifically crafted to bring out the nuances of the grapes and the ratio of the blend, playing off every aspect from subtle, effervescent nose to lively, satisfying finish. Courses include scallops rossini with mole negro followed by black truffle risotto, Brittany blue lobster in yellow curry broth with coconut foam, seared sashimi-style wagyu beef with octopus tempura, culminating with sakura tea geisha flower ice cream topped with lemon caviar.

@Pearl64 I am getting on Oceania Vista the day you get off. I am arriving day of cruise which I don't normally do but with 4 non stop flights from Toronto, I think I will be okay. Who di you book your transfer with- maybe they will pick me up when they drop you off- I'm arriving at 10am. About your departure time, in 2018 I got off Oceania at 7:30am and took a Smiths private car to Heathrow for a 12Noon flight and had no problems.

Maybe 1447 if every cabin that had a sofa bed was occupied? -
The prices did change on Jan 1st but they also posted this around the same time and I know several people who took advantage of it. This is what you would have seen up to a few days ago Posted Jan 6 After receiving different answers from Oceania reps, my TA contacted her Oceania Business Development Manager and they confirmed what you were told - $30 pp pd before you board to upgrade and $40 if you do it on the ship. Here's their reply: Here is the accurate information reflecting the price changes with the drinks package Advance Purchase (Prior to Sailing) $29.95 per guest, per day – House Select $59.95 per guest, per day – Prestige Select Onboard Purchase $39.95 per guest, per day – House Select $69.95 per guest, per day – Prestige Select That was on the site and just disappeared in the past few days

I agree. I think they have made some changes to that room on the new ship The drawings on cruisedeckplans show a l shaped sofa bed and no coffee table. I took my daughter with me on a cruise in anOceania suite. I ordered the cot for that media room because the king bed can't be separated(unless it's for Jacques Pepin and his daughter) and I was hoping to have the bed to myself. Didn't work too well. The bed was wedged between the sofa and the desk and to get onto the bed you had to fling yourself forward like you were an acrobat. Picture Patrick Swayze as the bed and Jennifer Gray doing that leap into his arms. Needless to say it only happened for 1 night.

Sirena A1 Aft Balcony Veranda or a PH?
cruisingxpert replied to Blockschip's topic in Oceania Cruises
Depends how much being able to sit and watch the Wake means to you. The penthouse cabin layouts on the small ships are much nicer than balcony or concierge cabins but that view is special. 6090 and 6093 which are A2 have slightly deeper balconies than the aft A1s on Deck 7 and 8. -
