  1. I go into the "Price and Build" and enter the promo code. Interesting that it says up to $1K, while the brochure says $500. Here is the acknowledgement from Viking of a successful promo code- Offers & Discounts Offer code entered Up to $1,000 Shipboard Credit per couple LCT23 TOTAL - -
  2. Azamara! Sleepy....you are straying further and further from Torstein (he doesn't look it, does he?) and Karine. They can get nasty when angry! For me this year my wife and I are doing Iceland and Norway on the Neptune in May. Just when the Long Island weather is perfect. Followed by Capitals of Eastern Europe in July and the Mekong river cruise in August on you know who. Make sure you post in the Virtual Lounge so that I can read up on your adventures. Regards, Mbo
  3. This cruise is a $500 shipboard credit. I have the booklet with this promo. You should do a "fake" booking online and see what comes up. I would tell my TA to ask Viking to add the promo to your booking before you cancel and rebook. Your TA might tell you that "she" also has a cancellation fee. If I had to guess, they would just add the promo to your current booking.
  4. Hey Sleep7, I just read your Avalon river cruise adventure. Happy you posted on Viking otherwise I would not have seem this. Happy it went smoothly except for the weather. I will continue my search for you! Regards.
  5. That might have been the day that the bartender was in a heated discussion with me about those emotional support dogs that many of the crew have on board.
  6. The first two lines should be Panama Canal and Central America Sorry
  7. Only because we have been on 2 cruises together, yet never met. P Canal and C America West Indies Explorer Classic P Canal Passage P Canal and the P Coast Hawaiian Islands Sojourn Canada and N England Scenic Shores....I think you booked that one! And then there are Med Voyages Iconic Western Med Ancient Med Treasures Cities of Ants and the Holy Land Journey to Ants Venice, the Adriatic and Greece Greek Odyssey
  8. Can someone please pinch me. I have complained and whined for years. Always feeling that no one was listening to me. And then a ray of light appeared (again). Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls of all ages (over 18) my third promo brochure has arrived. It's called 2023 and 2024 Ocean Voyages. A marvelous $25 deposit Free stateroom upgrade And (only) a $500 shipboard credit. Oh, the code is WES23
  9. Viking is offering promotions to sell the unsold cabins. I just booked a Viking ocean cruise with a promo that will save me a minimum of $6K and it is just a 2 week cruise for a Veranda cabin. The sailing is this May. I have a couple of rivers for July and August (hello Viking, it's me) that I also booked with promotions that will save me about $5K for each. If you wait you might have to give up a specific cabin or date. The key is flexibility. Now, if this river cruise you wish to take is the Nile cruise, then I would suggest you book for 2025 now. The supply and demand is in Vikings favor. That's why the cruises are so expensive and there are no promotions for Egypt. I feel you can get whatever you want (except for the Nile) with a good promotion about 11-12 months from sailing. Is there anyone reading this that would disagree?
  10. Viking won't extend a promo, by even one day. And just my 2 cents. EBD, in my experience, is not the type of promotion that saves you money. Further (still my 2 cents), I would never be booking a 2025 river cruise in 2023 unless your looking at the Explorer Suite, in which case you don't need a promo. Anyone who has cruised with Viking for 5 years or less will tell you to be patient and a real promo will come your way. Just my 2 cents.
  11. On my upcoming Iceland and Norway Arctic Explorer cruise it is being offered when we are in Alesund Norway for $249pp.
  12. Then to avoid that all you need is a credit card that charges no foreign transaction fee.
  13. I just got that also in the mailbox, along with the Expedition brochure. Unfortunately, it is a very weak promotion.
  14. The Viking Air agent did state that. But it is reassuring to know where you might be sitting.
  15. Just my 2 cents. I took Viking Air Plus for my upcoming Mekong river cruise in August. When I spoke to the Air department, they gave me seats for everything except Korean Air. Two weeks ago I called the Air Plus department and asked for and received seat assignments for Korean Air. My seats are not yet "paid". Patience sometimes pays off.
  16. IIRC= Like I really care IIRC=If I remember correctly
  17. You went back three years, but couldn't find anything about what a desperate TA could offer? Like $600 OBC for a 14 "night" cruise? Wait, they shall arrive.
  18. Hey wait, I was believing your sordid tale, until you tell us Tony Stewart was involved.
  19. Have you tried not using the "bathroom"?
  20. Well I just answered my own question. I just called NCL. The upgrade offer is per person. So we do get to upgrade twice by being Diamond. I will now change TA's. Thank you Warbird.
  21. Hi, I'm a little confused. I was told that when I used the upgrade perk for my wife and I (both Diamond) that I didn't have a second upgrade perk. Are you saying that you are able to upgrade twice?
  22. That's a relief! I thought you were AI.
  23. Clay-Are you cutting and pasting your replies?
  24. Very well written and poorly handled by Viking. Vikings excursions are always hit or miss depending upon the area visited. This part of the world should have offered better.
