  1. In case you weren't aware, you can get chips with your sandwich at the Deli and through room service.  Back before they started charging for room service, I would order just chips sometimes (well, with other stuff, but I would "hold the sandwich" 🙂)

If you use a rollator when you de-plane at the airport and you have a roll-on carry-on, a c-pap machine  and a purse, how do you handle it all. That's my dilemma. right now I'm considering taking a rollator so I would have it on the cruise.  But It would probably be easier to get a wheelchair at the airport.  Please tell me about any experiences you might have had.

You can still get a wheelchair at the airport.  The wheelchair assistants will help with your carry-ons and you can fold (make sure you get an actual foldable rollator) and hold your rollator.

  3. So, he really just needs to change the names on the reservation?  That is easily done as long as the primary person on the reservation is going, depending on the rules of the fare type under which he made the reservation.  Most will have a $50 charge to do this, but he has to do it before final payment date in most circumstances.

Since my original purchase with with an e-gift card I'm certain the refund will come in that form also.  And yes, I've been careful to check my email and spam folder.

I've read reports that Carnival is seeing a record number of bookings so I'm sure their customer service people are very busy.  Hopefully I don't fall through the cracks.

I would think you will be getting a physical gift card.  The interesting thing is that the excursions and cruise fares are processed through different systems.  Cruise fare refunds have been coming via e-cards and excursions via physical cards, regardless of which type of card was used originally.

Oh ok,  ours is a 5-day. Too bad. He has DOUE so I guess he can order shots and take them to his cabin to mix.

If he has DOUE, he can do this.  Take onboard a covered tumbler (like a Yeti or bubba cup).  Order a shot.  Empty into tumbler.  Repeat every 5 minutes for as long as he wants.  Take tumbler back to the room.  It's a workaround, but will cost him some time and each shot will count against his 15.

You should contact special needs before bringing on something like this since bottles are not allowed. But for a dietary restriction it should be fine as long as it's cleared ahead of time.

Cartons are allowed.  Also, since it is 11.2 oz, it is below the maximum per unit size.  They should be fine with or without a contact to Special Needs.

  7. I'm not sure where you are looking at the "invoice."  Cruise Cash is considered a Fun Shops purchase and will appear in your Booking & Order Details page, you just need to scroll down to see the section titled "Activities and Service Order History."

Scootaround’s standard will not fit through the door on the Mardi Gras. You need an accessible cabin. I JUST spoke to accessibility about this today. Doors are 22”,the scooter is 22.5”.

We've done it before, admittedly not on the Mardi Gras.  The transportable scooter width is 21", per the Scootaround website.  We always remove the armrests.  It's a tight fit, but DH is an experienced user and always gets it through the doorway without issue.

Since OP was concerned about the user's weight at ~240, they would have no issue with the transportable scooter.

We saw a lot of scooters being parked in the halls. Speak with your cabin steward for suggestions. My mom and brother also took their rolling walker with the seat.

They're not supposed to be parked in the halls.

Scooters cannot be parked in the hallways.  This is not a Carnival rule, this is a SOLAS regulation.  If Carnival was found to be allowing scooters to be parking in hallways, they would be heavily fined.

It is not easy to get a scooter through the doorway of a regular cabin; however, if the scooter is the right dimensions, it can be done.

You probably just missed them because my 2nd cruise was in Dec 2012 and I purchased one.  I know I was able to purchase 1 in 2015 while on Miracle, but that was the last time.

Interesting, perhaps we did.  The future cruise desks were still open for our first few cruises and we booked while on board for the OBC, but I never saw anything about future cruise certificates, which we may have purchased instead.

Only "cut off jeans" are not allowed.  I have seen plenty of jeans on Elegant night on many cruises.

    Comprehension matters.

Also, you took my comment out of context, attempting to make it sound like something other than a reasonable response to another post.

Follow up for anyone who may see this thread in the future:

Just like others said, I received my refunds in different ways.

Internet:  Part of it was paid with gift card (about $68) and part with credit card.  About a week after I cancelled I received a FedEx envelope with the gift card refund.  About the same time the credit card refund showed up on my card.

Cruise Itself:  Again I had paid part with credit card (the original deposit amount).  I received the refund for it in about a week on my card.

The rest was paid on gift cards.  In this case I received an email about a week later with a link to an electronic gift card.  It originally went to my junk mail and was almost deleted.  I'm glad I caught it before that happened because it was a sizeable amount.

I'm still baffled that they sent one refund (the $68 one) by FedEx in a regular gift card and the other one (the larger one that was over $500) by email.  It would have seemed to make more sense if these were reversed, but that's the way they did it.

Fun Shops purchases (which includes your internet package) and fares are managed by different departments.  I, personally, like that they are now using e-cards for refunds and wish they would for all refunds.
