  1. We had to pay full price (49.00 I think) for our 9 yr old to go to Teppanaki. We were told it was for the experience. There was so much food wasted on her plate!
  2. Thank you both for the clear explanation. I appreciate it!
  3. I opted out of the Beverage package of the FAS, keeping internet, excursion and 2 specialty meals (10 night cruise). Added to my reservation was a 20.00 Specialty Dining Gratuity. Should I expect to be charged 20% of the value of what we ordered as gratuity? Or have I already paid the gratuity? we cruised Breakaway last year and was really confused by this.
  4. My husband turns his phone off and leaves it in the room for the duration of the cruise. With his medallion, can he find my location from a large screen? Maybe located by the elevators? How does it work?
  5. Guys. . . The game I was looking at and the date we fly home are two different dates!! I swear I have looked at this three times! Maybe someone else can use the information about the ball park and their bag policy! i am sorry!
  6. Thanks for providing some information. The baggage storage at King Street Station is only available if you have an Amtrak ticket (or at least that is the way I understood it). There are a few Bounce places open past 9:00, but they are closer to the Space Needle. Most of the ones around the stadium close before 7:00. Is there a different storage network that you know of? I reached out to a hotel near the stadium. They only provide storage for their guests. Anyone experience something similiar?
  7. a) Disembark ship at Pier 66 (NCL) b) store luggage-somewhere c) do some sightseeing, maybe take ferry to Bainbridge, Pike Place, etc d) head to Mariners game, first pitch 6:40 pm. Arrive there maybe 5:45. Thinking we will be ready to just sit, eat ball park food, and soak up atmosphere. e) head to Seatac for 11:50 p.m. flight What makes the most sense on storing my luggage? I'd like to leave for airport straight from ball game. If I store luggage close to area by the Pier, I'd have to backtrack to get it before leaving for airport. Not interested in sending luggage via Port Valet because I would still have at the least a back pack that I can't take into the ball game. Plan to use light rail from game to airport. Ideas?
  8. @JIMESOPUS I recently finished your review. Thanks for sharing and posting pictures. @julig22 I hate the thought of fighting over saved seats! Sounds like I might have to pack my own blanket after all!
  9. Was it warm enough to sit outside in a lounge chair? Did the crew even bother to set up lounge chairs?
  10. It will be my second cruise to AK. On our prior trip, the RCCL Radiance had a covered pool, making a solarium area. The Sun doesn’t have that. I see it does have an observation area in the front. we have an inside cabin, so won’t have access to a private balcony. How have you enjoyed cruising to AK on the Sun? Does the pool towel stand offer blankets? Are blankets left in your cabin? Are there other favorite areas to sit and watch scenery? I have even considered packing my own blanket, but was hoping that wouldn’t be necessary.
  11. Thank you for this. We have his tour booked to the Blue Hole, transportation and admission only. I'm excited!
  12. I am only wanting the Stingray City stop - and no snorkel stop. Where did you book your excursion through?
  13. Great review! I see offerings of snorkel and stingrays at Grand Cayman. Did your excursion do the snorkeling also? If you only did the stingray, how/where did you book that?
  14. I always enjoy reading your reviews. Possibly because you travel out of Galveston or N.O - and the class ship you pick is usually one I am considering. The drinks at Alchemy always look fantastic. I'm always wanting to try different ones - maybe next week. What is it about the French Kiss that you like? And which margarita do you like that doesn't bite back. Perhaps it is the choice of liquor. I'm not well versed, but I can tell when a margarita bites back! Enjoy the rest of your trip - and hurry up and book Paradise! That should be an inexpensive Southwest flight!
  15. Did Galveston port have any signage for lines showing arrival times? Or was it just a free for all?
  16. How do you facetime home with just the Social Media package? I thought you had to have Premium to facetime?
  17. Go ahead and drive to Galveston. You will be glad you did!
  18. Thanks! I guess I should have been more specific about the destination. It is a cruise out of New Orleans.
  19. Please share with me the procedures on the embarkation testing, as well as the testing within 24 hours of debarkation. I'd like to be informed, so I can reassure her as to what is going on. How/when is the "within 24 hours of debarkation" test done?
  20. Saint Greg - Do you recall Port of Orleans having signage for lining up for Embarkation? Or did it just seem to be one mass long line? We have 10:00 - 10:30 check in and was just wondering what to expect.
  21. We have 10:30 boarding time. Pre-covid, when we cruised last, it was a free-for-all with people lining up. Is it any better organized now? Am I going to find a line with people assigned later boarding times - and how do I tactfully insert myself into this line at "my time slot". I'm thinking Southwest Boarding line if anyone who flies SW can relate? (we are not Plat or Dia).
