Cruises booked in Australia are inclusive of "tips" or whatever you like to call it .

Sailing in January on Grand Princess out of Melbourne , having just disembarked Quantum of the Seas where masks were advised but not compulsory . With masks mandatory on Princess , can anyone give information about how this works in bars and diningrooms please ? Not sure how a soggy mask at the pool goes either 🤭. Thinking of cancelling but hate losing the $ .

It all depends on where you are flying and the requirements for that destination.
Just back to Melbourne , if there are no extended delays we should be fine - if we do test positive that is something we should have prior information about the repurcussions so we can plan accordingly , not just be told post testing .
-
Thanks ARXCARDS , so we are tested the day before disembarking if we are at Tier 2 . Sounds likely now.

With the news today about 800 passengers testing positive on arrival in Sydney can anyone help with information regarding what happens with testing at disembarkation . We have a flight home at 11am so we are time critical getting to the airport . Generally now we are not forced to isolate on land but not sure of RCCL's and the port authorities procedures now ? . Sad to be nervous now when we are just 6 days away from Quantum .

We are cruising to Adelaide and Kangaroo Island on Grand Princess in January --- I have read that it may be required to covid test before and after going ashore ? Is this the case ? Just wondering how this could be done for such a large number and timing if this was neccessary. ?

That’s still $70 per meal and don’t forget you have already paid for food.
I don’t know what kind of food you like but you should be able to get anything you desire complementary or a small upcharge.
The main dining room can do off menu items ,a lobster,a big steak ???
You won’t starve.

Just got off Quantum in Hawaii. No reservations needed for any shows. There were several shows every night. Some shows started as late as 11:15. Look at a three night package for Specialty, prices run about $30.00 per meal. Chop's and Jamies were outstanding. We had thought about staying on to Sydney but the airfare back to CA. was outrageous.

Have you checked rollcalls?
Have you check the app?
Thanks for the reply - yes , checked the app and nothing listed yet ( 15 days to go ) . The roll call I started ages ago and has had very few contributing , hence my post here .

Hoping someone will know what entertainment is on Quantum this month - theatre , shows , times etc and whether reservations are required ?
Just hopping on for a little 6 nighter and trying to plan whether to book any outrageously priced speciality dining also . $103AU for Chops ... really? Having the Peso of the Pacific in the wallet sure makes extras a challenge. $5 casino bet is almost $10AU now - Yikes . Our USA$ visitors will get some bargains here on land..

Cheers anyway

Thanks for the reply Thrak , will do . Heard from an Aussie cruiser who just returned from a quick 4 nighter on Coral and the Plus Package was OK for them , so all good it seems . Must be a change of heart from Princess 😁
-
Thankyou for the quick reply - thats great news - - do you know if it was possible to upgrade the package to the Premium one with better spirits and wine etc ?

Need help finding out if we will indeed receive the Plus Beverage Package for the 5 Night Cruise - Melbourne , Kangaroo Island Adelaide Melbourne - just 5 nights which says we have included the Plus Beverage Package , Medallionet device etc ( we are Platinum members ) . Being just 5 nights , Princess usually do not offer Beverage Packages for cruises 7 nights or less . Our Summary does list the beverage package as included as complimentary with the fare purchase so I would hope there would not be a problem onboard - Does anyone have a similar experience with this ?

Sorry Bec , last question is redundant having just read your last post - slap my head emoji 🤪

How did you find the compulsory mask wearing at all times indoors - most cruises have made that optional for fully vaccinated guests , RCCL Singapore being different from RCCL most other places .
Princess Plus Scam For Australians

OK - so now I am totally confused - we have paid for our cruise which included the Plus Package as complimentary . Booked and paid for in Australia . Are you saying now that this does not include the gratuities ? Apologies if this sounds silly from someone who has cruised often .
