Enjoying your review and pictures, we are on The Vision in September
-
I am sailing on the Ovation of the seas inaugural cruise next month and the Premium Drinks package has just gone on sale at £53 A DAY:confused: ( APPROX $80).
I think they are trying to put people off buying them..
Ian
We are on the Vision in September and my wife has the Premium and its £41 per day, so me think they are cashing in with it being the inaugural cruise:(
-
Are the tablets blue? :eek::D
-
I have just checked mine and they have gone up, that's twice since we booked our cruise, the select package is now £30.24 and it started at £28 something then went to £29 something, not a massive increase but an increase none the less.
Me think I had better book before the next increase

The gratuities are only a fraction of the cost of the cruse? so you are not going to save a great deal there and do you really want to begrudge paying your fraction to the service crew that do in general an amazing job to help you enjoy your cruse?
-
Thanks for that, we are on her in September
I don't do deserts:D and we didn't do any shows when on The Allure last year, so what you have written is more than comforting to me as I was a little worried about going from The Allure to the Vison:eek:
-
Our next one:D
-
Check out JS 8052, we are staying in there in September:D
Other than that have a great time
-
Forgive me if I'm wrong here :D
But an all inclusive deal is not the same as having a drinks package?
Here in the UK, the AL is a deal you get at times when you book a cruse and the drinks package is something you add or you are given as a sweetener.
My in-laws where on a recent NCL all inclusive package where they could drink what they wanted, but come the end they had a bill for the tips on the drinks they had drank:(
So just make sure you know what you have?

You will have to sign on the Allure

Hope someone can advise as to when the option of booking specialty dining will be available in my cruse planner, it gives me the option of the beverage package but it just says "Sorry we cant reserve this right now"
please try when on board, for the dining option.
Well I would like to get it all booked and paid for well in advance, we don't sail till September.
Many Thanks,
-
We only ate breakfast twice in the MDR, but had no problem finding a table for just the 2 of us
-
I cant remember the exact time but it was late morning and we to went straight on the ship and what a Ship.
Enjoy

I bought mine online for our cruise last September and when I got my sea pass there was no sticker on it, so I went to the desk that was selling the drinks package and my name was not on the list what the lady had, she even made a call, but still could not find any information.
Anyhow she put a sticker on my card and said she would look into it and get back to me.
When we checked into our room I had the mug that goes with the package and the paper work that said I had the package, so something failed some were.
The lady did call our room that evening to confirm that I did have the package;)
I will still but my package online well before we travel as it will be paid for in advance

Bingo!!!
We are going on holiday:D
Many Thanks again
-
Thanks
I didn't have to do anything with our last cruise, after I registered with RCCI it was already there.
Will give it ago and see :D

Hello
I was wondering when will our cruise appear in "My Cruise" on the RCCI website? we have not booked it through RCCI, its not till next September:eek: but it would be nice just to see it there:D
Many Thanks

I had the select(beer and wine) back in September prepaid before we set sail, not sure if I gained as we were off the ship a lot, but didn't have to worry about what I drank when on board as it was paid for! so no nasty bill at end of cruise.
So you might gain or you might not, but don't have to worry about it:D
-
You could actually get away without taking any money and just use a credit card! as everything you get on board will go to your account and use the card when ashore
You may want to tip extra so I would say $50 to 100 would be ample?
-
We were on The Allure back in September and there was a gentleman in the cabin opposite us who had a scooter, it was outside his room for the first few nights, then he was taking it into his room from then on! don't know if he was told to take it in? but the couple struggled to get it through the door, so make sure it will fit through the door
-
On a side note, they also use the facial recognition software so you can put your seapass card in the machine and see all the pictures that they -think- are of you. For some reason, we had several ones of Shrek show up. I told my girlfriend that the computer must have gotten her formal night pictures mixed up. She did not find it as amusing as I did. :)
Chuckling away here you naughty boy, no nuptials for you for a while, now go to the naughty boys room:D:p
-
you had a walk in closet and on Vision you won't in that cabin
Thanks
forgot about that, shame as it was a nice part of the suite, but The Allure was, well The Allure:D

When are you sailing? We are in 8562 in January, so if you're after that I'll scope it out for you.
Laurie
Thanks, yes will be after you
Anyone else stressing about the Travel Alert to Europe?

My wife is a born worrier and at no stage has she even mentioned about cancelling our cruse in September and we only just got back from the UK mainland last night and again no hint of any panic or stress from her.
Life is full of stress, but its how you handle it that counts.
