We've been very near 8052 for the past 15 days, and every morning at about 6:30am we hear some carts roll by overheard, and the tables/chairs being re-arranged. The noise lasts less than 5 minutes, but it's been enough to wake me up every morning.
Thanks
6.30 not a problem as I'm all ways up by then and on the balcony, looking out and if light enough taking photos, my wife wears earplugs so never a problem for her and to be honest if its only for 5 minutes I can live with that.

Hopefully your cabin will be out of the main track of the service cart traffic as it is more forward than the cabin we had.
Hopefully, also it helps to be a little deaf at times
-
Had 8072 last year and would not recommend it. Don't know if this cabin being a little more forward would have the problem we had. At night when they were cleaning in the solarium the hard wheels on the service trucks made a thump thump sound that could easily be heard in the cabin. Back and forth numerous times. I really would look for a JS or any other cabin in a section that has a passenger deck above.
Thanks, only had a choice on deck 8 and wanted to keep away from under the Windjammer, I had read that it can be noisy on the VS, so I don't think we will get away from any noisy wherever we go, it will mean I will have to drink more before I go to bed:D

A JS is a great way to sail!
Yes I know, just done The Allure, JS

Just booked JS 8052, anybody got any photos or any thoughts?
Thanks in advance

We stayed in 12230 in September, no complaints what so ever and our attendant was the best

Here is our JS 12230 when we sailed in September, lovely and spacious :D

No. You don't have to take life vests to the drill. You do not put on life vests. But just out of curiosity, what prompted the question?

Thanks
I will come clean and say that the question wasn't for me but a friend who is on the Jade at the weekend and he asked me as I have been on The Gem, but that was 5 years ago so I couldn't remember so I asked for him, I didn't ask him why he wanted to know:eek:
Sorry for the little white one:D

Hi All
Quick question, we are the Jade at the weekend and was wondering if Life Vest have to be worn when we have the muster drill.
Many Thanks

At a matter of interest! what game are you hoping to watch? also I take it The Allure is on the other side then??

Can't help with beach towels, but I can say Chops has a big thumps from my wife and myself, we had ours on The Allure just over 2 weeks ago and it was stunning, but there again all the beef I had on the ship was mouth watering

Hi All
Was hoping to get some guidance about our next cruise! we have just been on The Allure in the Mediterranean and the ship certainly has the WOW factor, my wife is now looking at another Mediterranean cruise for next year on The Vision, but we are maybe thinking we are going from one extreme to another! The itinerary are completely different, but with The Allure being! well The Allure, will we be underwhelmed on The Vision as the ships is a big factor of our holiday.
Many Thanks in advance

Oh yes, very very very close!!! small world.. But yes, why buy anything on the ship if I can order it to be delivered to my home VAT free!!
How close is close, Herm, Alderney, Sark, Lihou, Brecque, Jersey, Jethou :D
Here is a link on the Allure page with some photos that I took 2 weeks ago

Thank you, shame, I don't pay sales tax where I live, so guess I will just window shop.
Looks like maybe you live by me:D
just come off the Allure and my wife didn't buy anything on board as to expensive, what she did say is that the Michael Kors shop had a good selection
-
Most of the time you meet somewhere in the port, though, not on the ship.

We came of The Allure 2 weeks ago and went on 4 RCCL excursions and we had to meet in one of the theatre's on all 4 occasions
-
Time of excursion, you will have your tickets in your room when you get there and the time will be on it and the time to meet will also be on it
-
Thanks all
Thanks for the photos! We will be 2 doors down in JS 12236 next October. Would love to,se some more photos of the cabin and balcony.Don't have any more I'm afraid, I think your balcony is on the Hump so will be even bigger than ours, we had 2 chairs and table plus 2 other reclining chairs with footstools
Question have been on the Allure a few times and never saw tables around central park at night- was this a special function? TxsTables and chairs where there every time we went there which was most nights
