  1. I hope she didn't pay full price. She could have called the number on the offer and simply upgraded from the inside cabin. She would have saved quite a bit of money.
  2. It appears every now and then some pax receive casino offers that do not play in the casino. It is one of the great mysteries. There are many different offers from just free play to a free Pinnacle Suite (very rare) that may include several thousand dollars in free play and drinks anywhere on the ship. It is all determined by how many points you accumulate in the casino.
  3. On HAL the cash tips are only required to be turned in if you remove the daily service charges.
  4. Some pax get a few a year. Some get 1 sometimes 2 a month.
  5. There are some great resources here that have tons of experience booking casino cruises. @DaveOKCis one of them. There is a good chance one of the resources here can help you with your question/s.
  6. I had the same issue on my Feb cruise with the beverage package. They tried the same BS with me. I won that argument due to HAL's policy that the Signature Beverage Package MUST be purchased by both guests in the cabin. They have since changed the wording in their offer as you can see below. It is imperative that you print your offer and bring it with you. As for your PCC I can tell you that the casino division is tough to get a hold of even for them.
  7. The priority boarding for casino guests are ONLY for when the casino division holds special events such as a slot or blackjack tournament. Those are not that often. I can remember that benefit for special event casino cruises for at least 10 years.
  8. For those who are not gamblers you probably don't know the back story to why Carnival's casino division is pushing the casino cruises. From land based casinos I receive at minimum 12 free cruises offered to me every year. Most of these cruises are on NCL. NCL is in bed with most of the large land based casinos. Carnival's casino division is simply trying to catch up. And they are miles and miles behind. The offers are not as generous as they were last year but there are still many offers to choose from. As far as HAL is concerned it is the best of both worlds for them as they are filling their ships and the casino division pays HAL for the cabins.
  9. Obviously quite a bit as they will be expanding the casino on the NS at drydock and they are also in the process of offering sports betting.
  10. These are only used for special casino event cruises like a slot tournament cruise.
  11. You receive 1 point for every $2.50 you play in a slot machine.
  12. Don't hold me to this but I think 6000 points will get you a come back and sail offer. I usually accumulate 60,000 points in a 7 day cruise to get the Neptune Suite offer. My wife gets Neptune Suite offer and she usually accumulates 40,000 points.
  13. Hundreds of them! Here is the latest list to choose from: HEP2339CI_USDv2.pdf (hollandamerica.com)
  14. I had a 10am check in time on my late May cruise out of Canada place. I am not far over 3 score. The sole reason for the earlier check in time was the long lines that pax were experiencing for check in due to pax showing up well before their boarding time. Hurry up and wait will be your experience. Arrived at 10am. Getting thru check in took approximately 45 minutes. After checking in you will be divided into 2 seating groups. Those that actually have priority boarding and those that don't. There were approximately 60 pax in the priority boarding group seating group area and 700 pax in the non priority group seating area.
  15. There is no 3% charge if you charge money to your cabin. If you are playing tables they will track your play by swiping your cabin card at the table. If you're playing a slot machine you will put your cabin card in the machine.
  16. Do they play bingo? Have they gotten scratch off Tix? Did they sign up for a free cruise drawing?
  17. Every one of the sailings mentioned by @mwj plus many others were sent out as casino offers this past Thursday. HEP2338CI_USDv2.pdf (hollandamerica.com)
  18. The signed receipt has nothing to do with the ability to add an additional tip. Is has to do with proof for HAL that the drinks were in fact received by the pax. To many pax were claiming they were being charged for drinks they did not receive.
  19. I think the best ne out of Vancouver is 10am, They was the check in time we had.
  20. I am not sure about all the cabins on Pinnacle class ships but in the suites the desktop opens up and that is where you will find the make up mirror.
  21. You have to book the cruise thru that specific offer. Cruises booked outside that offer do not count.
